Amazing facility. Bathrooms are appealing though. Very little cleaning done on them. When you go of an evening they are a mess.

Actually I’ve previously made a mediocre review on this public pool. Now, that I have done good laps in all central pools, well, let me tell you, the Ian Thorpe Aquatic Center is by far the best managed pool.

Great gym with great spacious facilities. Perfect place to come and unwind, and parking is very easy to find on the streets nearby. Thanks Josh

Many positive sides like steam room and sauna, big professional pool +2 others warmer for therapy. The change rooms are good but they should clean more the floors of building overall the sauna room the steam room as the people walk bare feet.
I highly suggest to the manager of the ITAC to introduce a rule to forbid to walk inside with the same shoes used outside. This is not hygienic.

Facilities are great although they really need some TLC to sort out the forever wet and hot bathrooms. How about some fans guys?

TILES ARE SLIPPERY. Would love to meet the muppet who selected these tiles for a pool area. I had to wear sandals to walk anywhere. I almost slipped WALKING back from the Cafe with my coffees when barefoot. As I've been typing this I heard a man say to his partner, "Watch out, it's slippery. " Such a poor and unsafe choice.

I have got lower backpain for 4 years and then I decided to have some yoga classes in The Ian Thorpes Aquatic Center. I have done yoga in this center for 5 months and my back problem have been fixed, my lower back pain have improved a lot. Thanks to the enthusiasm of Lisa my yoga teacher.

Horrible duty manager, how can someone be that rude with customers?

The pool itself is way overpriced.
Men change rooms are usually dirty.

Great place to work out and hang out too. But the staff need a little more training in customer service and interaction.

Showers room hooks on the wall not fixed, always a problem, just need replace them all, to good ones, big public liability breach, no termometer in steam room, and old broken termometer in sauna, it should be fixed as soon as possible, before somebody passed away as they do not know temperature

I've only been once, but this was my experience:
- reception staff were apathetic
- class was energetic and engaging
- showers smelt like mildew
- parking meters don't take card or cash (and I didn't see any signs about this until I was already down there)
Based off my experience I wouldn't recommend.

I used to go there a year ago was still okay but this last time the receptionist was a bit rude when asking a question, anyway I found out that the steam room was out of service and the sauna was overcrowded but I can still understand that. However the most shocking thing was that the place is filthy and is looking run down. Never going back

Awesome experience.
I use to be full time member of Ian Thorpe when I was student. It was worth the services they provide for 360 members after student discount.
They have got 3 different pools:
1. Program pool
2. Leisure pool
3. Warm one (don’t remember the name)
Other activities:
1. Big gym
2. Dedicated classrooms for group classes
3. Sauna room
4. Steam room
5. Personal locker facilities
6. Changing room and shower

By personal experience I would surely recommend anyone to have a swim there.
They have got few lovely soft spoken staff.

The staff at the entrance wasn't really friendky/hepful, staff inside nice though. You can get single entry for pool (around $7), or pool and saunas (around $14) and other options. Huge lane pool, steam room and Swedish sauna.clean and not too busy during the day.

3 different pools - 1 warm water program, 1 training cold water, 1 recreational. Gym down stairs with separate group fitness and spin rooms. They've recently introduced a BARRE class on Saturday afternoons with a really great instructor.

Light filled, pleasant indoor pool. Has an Olympic pool, as well as a hydrotherapy and kids pool. Parking available under the facility access from Pyrmont St.

Let down by awful airless changing facilities.

Very strict rules regarding children. If under 5 they wear a rist band and adult needs to be in water with child even in ankle deep water. Prices are a joke not just for this pool either. Parking is expensive. So if you are a struggling family like most dont brother catch a bus to beach it's more fun. $25.00 2 children 1 senior and parking for only 2 hrs. That includes undressing and showering.

Good facility for swimming, nice and warm in the winter.

I haven’t used or seen the gym area but the pool bathrooms could use some attention.

The kids swimming classes administration is completely incompetent: constant time, location and teacher changes with no warning, incorrect charges.

Update Sep/2018: bathrooms still need attention but teacher and location changes seem to have ceased. Extra star achieved.

I was surprised with the ethic and professionalism from personal trainers. Definitely, this place offers the ideal environment to work out.

Definitely a swimming pool worth visiting for its unique architecture but lacks in charm overall. The change rooms and facilities were average.
