I paid $8.50 and went swimming on a weekday with my 3-year-old child. It's quiet and neat.

The worst experience of my life in a pool! Here they steal your belongings and the pool is not responsible.

Bariscan the Duty Manager is a very rude person, he laughed ironically while we were talking to solve the problem of the robbery. He changed the possible resolution of the case in three versions without solving absolutely anything.

The staff moved my belongings from the bathroom at 7: 50 pm, and at that same moment my Nike Air Force 1s disappeared.

What kind of people do they hire?

Since Bariscan is a very poorly educated person.

One of the worse customer service some of the life guards do with guardian. They target specific people and made uncomfortable situations for them. Definitely they need some training to do well in how to do customer service.

Pool facilities are good however, the provider they choose to use for baby swim lessons is horrible to deal with. I cannot recommend it to anyone, better you go to the private baby swim pools in the area. The knowledge of instructors varies greatly, some have clearly never thought babies before. It’s exactly the same activities every week unless a new instructor happens to run the class. Together with most parents from our group I have canceled but do their processes are so inefficient that nobody looks at the cancellation form which you need to submit online. Not worth the hassle, go elsewhere for swimming lessons, especially for babies.

Great 50m pool with lanes dedicated to fast, medium, and slow swimmers. They usually have classes for kids going on and will only leave the center lanes for the general public. A casual pool visit is 6$ (concession) and a casual gym, pool, and sauna visit is roughly $11 (concession). I personally liked the fact that they had two saunas. My only criticism would be the lockers and not having a proper changing room. Otherwise, a positive experience.

I notice a guy staring at me for a long while and initially took it for a hot dude staring at me out of curiosity…

Later when I had a chance to put on my glasses.only to realised it was a waxed model of Ian Thorpe in his prime staring at me….

ITAC as everyone calls…has a lovely atmosphere of an unfettered day…
You are surrounded by dedicated lap enthusiasts some swim with majestic beauty others with frantic rhythms.

The place is peaceful and clean.
A place to swim without getting sunburnt.
Dedicated 50m lap pool is as good as it gets.

Why pay full price for a service that is always on holidays. Being closed and reducing hours is unprofessional

Great place, very clean, 50 meters pool, kids pool, relaxing pool and sauna. Large change rooms. Lockers and accessible by tram also bus from eddy ave 501. Or pay $3.3 every half an hour.

All I can say is that its a shame that a large piece of very much needed “tax payer funded” infrastructure is operated and profited by Belgravia Group as their delivery and performance is consistantly out of libe with the very basic principles of customer service, value and respect.

Ive been using the sauna to recover from injury over the last few years and theyre constantly broken. They have proven to be inept at programming seamless operation of these services despite running “all” sydneys once public pool system.

The last straw for me was when a couple of women and another guy and myself were abruptly ordered to exit the steam room for a clean! This dood cracks the door open and jams in a door stop… There was nothing wrong with it and I had just paid and got in.

Whilst the pool opens at 7 they dont want to let you use the sauna till 10 so they can save money for their company profits.

Their website NEVER telegraphs when the steam/sauna room is inoperative “which is often”, also they don’t bother to operate the canteen at all and many of the staff have sullen faces and insipid vibes despite the few who make a sincere effort.

Sunday afternoon isn’t the best time to visit Ian Thorpe Aquatic Centre. Half the lanes are reserved for swimming lessons, three are for lappies, leaving one for the everyone else that includes us.

The Harry Seidler architecture is still enchanting, but the whole place is feeling a bit overused and suffering for it. The chlorine levels are hectic, making the place smell awful. You definitely need a shower immediately after a dip here. Temperature is wrong in the therapy pool making it too cold to enjoy sitting in the jets. Maybe we’re just out of the indoor pool groove, after so many ocean versions, but I doubt we’ll hurry back.

I used to be a national level swimmer in Japan and I reckon that this place is top notch swimming pool. I wish I could dive from diving block as a visitor but other than that, it’s clean and fully equipped for beginners to professionals. Highly recommended.

Try avoiding going to the kids swimming school. My two kids 3 & 5 are enrolled in the swimming program and have been to the school for three months. Suddenly we are refused entering into the centre because we have three kids 1&3&5 yo. Apparently there's a policy one parent can only bring 2 kids under 5. However my oldest is 5 and a half. Battling with refund of the remaining fees at the moment. If they would letting us know when we first enrolled, then there's no need to go through this trouble. Management is below standard. Called city of Sydney to complaint but was told it's privately managed now. I would give 0 star if possible, don't go there.
Recently, wetalked to the management and now they are lying about giving us verbal notice three weeks ago without any proof. Cannot believe how can the management of such a good centre fell to such an jaw dropping level! Read other reviews about the new management since the centre was privatised three years ago. Such a horrible place!

Worst! In a word!

After this facility is sold to the current operator 3-4 years ago, their operating is getting worse and worse. (Now they close swimming pool at 4: 30PM on Weekends. Used to be 6AM - 9PM. LOL. Ridiculous!)

I am a member here for last 8 years. (but NEVER any more)

A lot of recent 5 star reviews have only 1-5 reviews previously written (Which are newly made IDs = which can all be FAKE) <<<<<<

If you guys can not operate this Facility properly, give it back to the previous operator!

Pretty disappointing that ITAC don’t offer gym only membership to locals. It’s a full pro membership only, which is significantly more expensive and includes use of the pool whether you’ll actually use it or not. I understand the complexity is based on not knowing whether you enter the pool area and not just the gym but imagine there could be a work around solution, which they haven’t bothered to find. Staff at admin also inconsistent as one said I could obtain an active membership when I called and another said I couldn’t when coming to the gym to sign up. They were generally unhelpful in trying to find a resolution given it’s my closest gym.

What is the point of a gym in the city which closes at 4pm on weekends and 8pm on weekdays? Pointless! Covid has been used as the perfect excuse to cut down the services! Well down!

Thank you Adam, On Sunday my wife, myself and my twin 2yr olds went to the 11am swimming lesson. Afterwards we went into the leisure pool for a swim. When leaving one of my daughters threw the biggest tantrum i have ever seen. Basically she wanted to stay swimming and she was screaming more than i have ever seen her scream. She was absolutely distraught.

On our way out a lovely man called Adam who works for Ian Thorpe came up to us and presented my daughter with a little mermaid toy and was absolutely lovely to her. It was the kindest gesture and my daughter instantly stopped screaming and fell in love with the little mermaid toy.

I am so grateful. He was absolutely wonderful and i cant thank him enough. Just amazing. Thank you Adam!

Saw a video on YouTube called “How to get Big biceps by Sam Saidden” of one of your staff members, highly inappropriate.
