Hurstville Is a good pool but you can’t believe and last time I was there I threw up. The slide has been broken still March 2023

Three stars were deducted for the following three reasons:

1. There were too many people; they allowed as many people to come in as possible.
2. It was the second time in a month that everyone had to get out of the pool due to contamination. The worst part is they continued to let people come in when the pool was closed.
3. You have to pay extra for the water slide. Additionally, it was closed without any reason in the middle of the day.

It is quite hectic in many different ways;
1- so many people but only 3 lanes were open to public so it was chaotic with the slow-medium-fast lanes.
2- people were using foot and hand equipment to make them go faster and one of them smacked my head with it, I don't get how and why they would allow those.
3- Sauna is really not that warm, you would barely sweat in there.
4- the steam room was actually really nice until someone decided to put some menthol liqiud on the steam machine which made it super intense, even tho there are signs for it, nobody enforces the rules at all.
5- you pay extra to be able to enjoy the sauna and steam rooms to get a bracelet but almost everyone who were in there didn't have the bracelets, so paying extra wasn't necessary, made me feel bad for paying extra.
Over all, I wouldn't be able say that you will get your moneys worth if you go there.

One Star! Extremely Poor hygiene. Stuff really should take better control of the sauna area. I have seen someone scrape dead skin from their feet using a plastic gym card while in the steam room and I have seen someone cut their nails. People drink from their water bottles and then poor water on the hot stone using the same water bottle which is not hygienic. I see alot of people who dont pay aswell and sneak in without wristbands. I will not be going back to this place. It seems that the stuff dont care or just can't control the place.

Lovely front desk staff. Gym, Spa and Sauna, swimming lessons and outdoor area are what’s on offer. Great community centre.

I completely agree with all the negative reviews left by some people. If a place has a bunch of poor management and highly unprofessional and unfriendly customer service staff, it's quite unexpected to receive good and consistent customer service. Some of the girls are extremely impatient in the way they talk and provide service at the reception. If a manager comes to interfere, they just blindly defend staff without knowing who's at fault.

Unlike most swimming centres, they give you makeover classes which you'll always struggle to complete by their tricky deadlines and eventually lose them. To me, it's an unethical business trick to snatch one's money.

My job as a Dietitian and Nutritionist, I know how much patience I need to bear when serving a customer, while easily accepting their mistakes. It doesn't cost money to behave well but requires good intention and positive attitudes.

Really enjoy the variety of classes provided and the great and friendly instructors that take the classes.

This is not a place for family or kids. Most of the staff are not friendly compared to other centres where people are welcomed. Managers just back staff up to defend their staff blindly. They charge you money more than what the fee is and when you ask the girls at the reception for clarification, they are angry. When you speak to one staff member, another one will come and jump and start arguing with you. Just disgusting! Never recommond anyone to come here.

Love the friendly food court ladies.
Inge and Sue. Service with a smile.
What more to ask.

Don't bother trying to book a court because even if the staff confirm it over the phone and in writing, you'll arrive to the centre and be told they booked it out to someone else. Our team travelled from all over Sydney to make the bookings only to be turned away. This has happened multiple times so clearly there is no point trying to make another booking.

I have been going there now for three months with my wife and little one. The Creche staff are wonderful and very caring. I am so lucky that it's under ten minutes drive for us. We enjoy it every time we go there. Great place A+

Aquatic centre itself is quite nice. The group fitness studio was pretty average. They seem to have bought up all the old Fitness First weights. Carpet on the floor looked clean enough, but who can tell. They could substitute in a wood floor and a mirror on the front wall and make the studio look 100% better.

The gym is fantastic, but it's the creche which is a real game changer for me. The staff are brilliant and I feel that my daughter is getting the best of care while I can take care of my own physical and mental health. This is such a wonderful service.thank you to Brenda, Shayne, Norma and all of the amazing creche staff.

I don't swim or exercise at this place - I just visit to drop kids off and eat possibly the best hot chips in Sydney. I don't know how a Aquatic Centre can manage this but please don't change the ingredients/cooking style.

**Poor training Quality**!
My daughter’s joined Flipit Gymnastics in Hurstville Aquatic Leisure Centre for two months now. So disappointed with their poor management and training quality. There is no discipline in class, kids just simply skip the line and not wait for their turn. Trainers ignore and don’t pay attention of this sort of behaviour. Discipline is used to ensure routine is maintained so everyone gets equal opportunities of training in limited time. Unfortunately, in here you need to fight for ur turn of training that u paid for.
I couldn’t even get a chance to speak to their manager about this, but when I asked about cancellation I received response within an hour. I seriously want to know if the trainers in Flipit received enough training and qualified to teach these 5-7 years old kids.

I would like to thank firstly Nat at Reception for her polite + efficient telephone manner and Tori also at Reception for kindly allowing me free entry when I explained I was there for a shower only. We're waiting for a new hot water system on backorder due to covid, and a shower at the pool caused least inconvenience to anyone under current circumstances.
Sincere thanks once again Tori and Nat! Excellent PR and you make a good team

2022/02/16 night, Female lifeguard told my daughter to get out of the 25m pool when she trying to train her 50m freestyle for last 2 years because she is a kids (she is 10years old with 138cm tall). I never heard that kids not allowed to swim in the 25m pool? Anyone explain or show me the policy?

Cafe staff member Lucy deserves recognition, even though busy was polite, well mannered and offered efficient customer service with a smile, even though it was behind her mask you could tell, keep up the great work Lucy.
