Hunter Valley Visitor Information Centre reviews
60Excellent service, very friendly even the lady went out of her way on the net to find information about off road tracks
We were so pleased that we stopped here. The staff were friendly and Christine was very helpful in her suggestions. Christine was warm, funny and very knowledgeable
Extremely helpful staff. Great variety of gifts and produce. Able to inform us of the road closures in the area. Have never been disappointed when visiting
We went here to grab some information for later in the future. The lady in the info shop knew her business and was very helpful
The ladies we spoke to in there were so helpful and gave some good suggestions on places to go other than the wineries
A good range of pamphlets and activities on display. Well worth a visit at the start of your holiday.
Information Centre had a great range of local products and pamphlets. Pamphlets sorted by activity.easy to follow. Building itself is lovely as well.
We needed recommendations of wineries, which the assistant that helped us, Christine, was a amazing and did that! Very informative and gave us some little gems of wineries that weren't the popular choices which is what we were after!
Highly recommend this be your first stop at Cessnock!
Wonderful experience at the Visitor Information Centre. All very pleasant people with Christine a standout for sharing local knowledge and many great recommendations.
ALSO great welcome in the Coffee Shop with very nice coffee to match, well done to the two smiling young men working the morning shift Sunday 7th February 2021.
Great place to get info about places to see and things to do in Hunter Valley. Staff are very helpful!
Pretty paintings for sale in the centre. And wine tasting was available when we were there but we have not tried it.
Plenty of the information about the area and Cafe is located on site.
Beautiful building, great range of local products and even wine tasting. Our assistant, Nancy, was friendly, patient and provided heaps of information. She even told us where children can be entertained whilst the adults do some wine tasting. Definitely the place to start at the Hunter Valley!
Called in to get brochures on places to go to, friendly staff. There is a cafe there but didn't have time to sample, clean toilets.
Great Information Centre. Friendly service and plenty of brochures, maps, souvenirs and also wine.
The visitor centre was easy to find and parking was plentiful. Christine was so helpful. The only thing we knew we wanted to do was a wine tour. Christine found us a tour that had vacancies and booked us in. She then made suggestions for other things to do and places to eat. She handled all our questions and bookings - nothing was too much trouble. We would highly recommend calling in here to get your holiday in this area organised. Thanks Christine - you made our day!
The lady answering our questions appeared like she'd much rather not.its the ususl maps and product display.don't expect much.
I had great help from Christine. Gave me some great ideas on what and where to go and see. Christine was also helpful in giving me some south coast information. Thanks Christine
Lots of information (as you would hope) and the staff are very knowledgeable and able to provide more focussed recommendations for things of interest rather than generic coverall info.
The ladies Christine and Nancy at that information visiter centre in the Huntervalley were extremely helpful
Highly recommended go and pay them a visit
This is the place to go for first timers in the hunter valley. Nancy and Christine helped us out with
deciding on what to do, and with bookings. They are the best! Thank you so much Nancy and Christine!
This is the place to come to before starting your tour of the Hunter Valley region. It's a one-stop service to food, coffee, souvenirs, directions, recommendations and even wine tasting (featuring smaller and lesser-known wineries). The staff was also very friendly and helpful, and she provided very frank recommendations on food, wine and chocolate. You will definitely not miss it, as it's along the main road and distinguishable with the iconic 'i' logo. Free parking is also available.
