The staff are very friendly
The accommodation is not up to date, but it is clean.
The location is quiet
It's nice that there's a supermarket right nearby and it's right in front of the subway station.

Great location, free bottle of wine with some of the best views of Sydney. Will definitely be back.

Located right next to King's Cross Station, it is conveniently situated, with a quality, yet reasonably priced, bistro. Less than 10 minutes' walk from St Vincent's Hospital, so great for early admission or visits.

I really enjoyed my stay here. The rooms are fairly standard and need updating, but it's well priced in comparison to a lot of other hotels in Sydney that are not as nice. I've lost elite status at IHG but was still treated really well and received an early check-in and late check out. It's rare for hotels to treat non-elite members with respect so it was much appreciated. Wouldn't hesitate to come back.

I do like it here. Right above the train station. Always spotlessly clean. Good size rooms and bathrooms although a long time since they have been refreshed. The rooms on the harbour side have great views. Recently however they have made it a “pet friendly” hotel. Presumably that decision was based on a trendy whim rather than any analysis of revenue or the preferences of the majority of their clients. So now unfortunately you have to put up with the ear piercing yaps of delinquent mutts who have taken to frequenting the place.

Met friends for dinner and hangout. Nice atmosphere and the food was very nice and who knew they had a group staying for a retreat from PNG, all over Australia and New Zealand. The staff were kept busy and there was a longer wait time on the food, but it didn't take anything away from the excitement of meeting old friends and new.

Great value for money! I stayed here for a few days with my kids and the staff were attentive and friendly. Our room was clean and serviced well, and kids ate dinner free at the restaurant which had good variety and decent/affordable food. Had a standard room and were surprised by the amazing view of the CBD at sunset. Another surprise was the access to the train right next to the hotel front entrance (I thought the only way down was across the street) - mighty handy given all the rain!

We stayed here While Renovating 3 x bathrooms at home. We needed space for all 4 of us and BonBon our poodle.
The staff really made our stay Heather, Natasha, Vee - in fact all the team went over and above.
The house keeping and room service team in particular were so helpful and flexible for all our requests.
With a harbour view suite (808 has a full kitchen and dining table) and a spare room 809 also with harbour views there was enough space and the hotel is central for everyone to get to drive or catch trains to work (great parking in the building).
The buffet breakfast, daily housekeeping and same day laundry made it a much easier and economical option compared to AirBnB which quoted 11k more for same timeframe without housekeeping, parking and
in-room dining (a relief after long days).
We stayed for 6 1/2 weeks and the great food scene in the Cross was such a delight after 2 years of lockdown.
It was a very chill environment to come home to in between work and renovation dramas.
The other patrons were also relaxed, Bonbon even came with us to breakfast

The hotel is clean and the service is quite good but the entire place smells damp. Our room had a fairly bad smell in it. Maybe the air con needs a good service? But that along with being unable to open windows to try and create some airflow really brings it down.

The hotel is in a most convenient position and the rooms are a good size and the staff extremely pleasant. All Covid restrictions were adhered to well. For a night or two it is excellent but for a longer stay, as I had, it was very difficult to get the room serviced even with a change of towels. Just the smallest change in the breakfast menu would be a good idea. But overall the best value in the area.

Very convenient for public transport. Harbour views are a good rate. Its rooms are in need of a renovation, but otherwise fine.

A/C wasn't working for the 3 nights we stayed in hotel in Jan 22 (Summer). To add, the window was locked so we couldn't open to get fresh air and cool the room down. Great view from our room. Breakfast was nice in the hotel restraurant. Beds comfortable.

Great place for a short stay of a couple nights, Lovely attentive staff & room service good on 2nd go when our order made it to the kitchen properly.
Good quality for the price even on a public holiday!

Superb location as many restaurants and places of interests are close by. Even though the room I got had no view other than the other guest rooms windows. There was an interconnected room and I had no privacy as the neighbor received so many phone calls at odd times and I could even hear the caller's voice in my room. Rooms are not sound proof and housekeeping service disturbed my sleep again in the corridor. Wanted some coffee and milk refills in the room but had to call front desk 4 times (3 no answer) to get them after 30 minutes as they were busy? Spacious bathroom and a comfortable bed, good air-conditioning.

I always try and stay at Holiday Inn’s around Sydney
The pillow selection is GREAT!
Affordable, really comfy beds.
Minor issue, the aircon (last stayed on a cold day) is super slow in getting to selected temperature
