Hilton Sydney reviews
59Great location, close to everything (shops, restaurants, public transport, and tourist attractions). It is a very, very busy hotel, so don't expect to get a good nights sleep there. We stayed there for a few nights, and there were high school sports teams, cabin crew, and lots of groups. Every single night, there were people running up and down the corridor on our level, slamming doors, yelling, etc.
Location is just amazing.opposite QVB and only a short walk to Centre Point and Circular Quay or Darling Harbour
very modern building with very high service levels
Classic Hilton Hotel
Features Similar to what you'd expect an find in most western countries.
Bed an pillows adequate. Large TVs in rooms.
Mini bar fridge available for use.
Modern an upto date bathroom an wash basins.
Have a large build-in wardrobe with 8 hangars - 3 with pegs/ clamps.
Views from most rooms are restricted due to the building design. Bigger, Larger rooms have greater views and amenities, baths and showers jacuzzis.
Reception is staffed 24 hrs.
Room service is up till 10pm.
The suites are in need of maintenance as they're tired. The service is fantastic from concierge and housekeeping staff. Being on George Street, the hotel is ideally located.
They are very friendly and the location of the hotel is really great. You can take the tram right when you open the hotel door.
This place was beautiful especially at night the views looked so much more amazing i highly recommend. Also everyone was so kind and lovely. Great service!
A group of people made a noise in the corridor of the guest room from about 9 o'clock in the morning. I asked the front desk for help twice, but it was completely useless. The noise lasted until after 12 o'clock. I complained to the front desk manager, and he only said that he was sorry. I said that I would never stay in a hotel with this standard again, and he just said it was a pity.
Elevators, carpets, and rooms are all quite old. The only saving grace is the location.
I am a diamond member. I have had a lot of problems with Hilton recently.
This was the first genuinely awesome experience I have had with Hilton in recent memory.
I think it was Ivana (I will have to check and make sure I have the name right) at the front desk that made the difference. She was helpful, courteous, efficient and the level of experience you would expect for a 5 star hotel. Her wonderful customer service is what would make me use Hilton again for my next stay.
Glass Brasserie is a nice place for a special meal. Was a bit disappointed that the lamb wasn't warm nor were the chips (that were replaced as soon as we pointed it out).
No over words but outstanding. From the moment we arrived the door staff were quick and very friendly as they took our luggage and assisted with checkin. The staff that made up our room every day were fantastic, such attention to detail, even folding clothes left laying around the room, did not expect that. The Wagu burgers were to die for too. Highly recommend the Hilton Sydney 10/10 for everything.
Bad service, did not pay attention to the details on notes /request made at the time of booking and what agreed upon.
Was looking forward to a fantastic night away with my family, and we decided to stay in the Hilton. Unfortunately the 20th floor does not guarantee peace and quiet. The noise from the bar below travels up between the buildings, and creates an eerie feeling of people talking right outside the window - even with the blinds down. We spent a sleepless night in our little room, however made the most of our time in the city, only to return to a $50 fee for parking! I had double checked with the person who had checked us in, on the parking fees as I was surprised by what she had said the first time. Once again she said, 'It's $20 for 24hours. Weekend flat rate. ' On returning to the front desk to question the $50 parking fee the following day, I was assured that I was mistaken and that the Assistant Night Manager knows what she's talking about. I must have heard it wrong, but here we can offer you our discounted rate of $58.50.
Would NOT recommend.
Have stayed here many times over the years for work and the staff and facilities are always lovely. The location is central and if you need a hand with anything the staff are always happy to help. Always stay here in sydney
I always love staying here. Excellent service, close to everything and all the bars and restaurants, have the best food and superior customer service.
Its good to be travelling again and great to be back staying at Hilton properties.
I recently stayed at the revamped Sydney Hilton. I remember the former Hilton on the same property from my early days in Sydney in the 90s where the Marble Bar was a favorite late-night haunt but enough about that!
My recent stay was very comfortable with superfast check-in as I had done this online so only had to get my room key. The new rooms are quiet, comfortable and in my case since I had an executive suite very spacious with a separate work/lounge area and large bathroom with bath and shower.
Although the excecutive lounge on one of the upper floors (36th floor I think) was closed there was an area in the Glass Restaurant on level 2 that offered evening drinks and breakfast for Executive stayers and Diamond members. In the evening there was a very good selection of hot and cold snacks and a good selection of wines, I chose a kiwi Pino noir. Service came with a smile and was professional without being overbearing.
Excellent breakfast. Great location right opposite QVB so a short walk to trains and off to airport. HHonors program was always one of the best for global travellers in my opinion and is still proving its worth whilst I am restricted to ANZ. Keep up the good work.
The room was fantastic, modern, clean and with a tv in the shower as well. What was impressive was the breakfast available down stairs at the Glass Brasserie, service staff was phenomenal. Can't wait to be back in 3 weeks with the family.
Stayed allot over the years.
The renovation has been worth it as the decor is much improved.
Well worth the money and service is great!

Had a lovely 2 night stay for our 23rd wedding anniversary. Excellent service (apart from room service delivering a stone cold, half-empty hot chocolate and then never sending the replacement one up but still charging us, hence 4 stars not 5. Also the coffee from Cino Cafe in the foyer was not great - but cakes were amazing). Great location with Marble Bar (amazing) and Zeta Bar on-site, The Grounds next door, QVB across the road, Strand Arcade and Westfield etc very close, lightrail on doorstep. Our corner premiere room was lovely, amazing views from the 33rd floor, and everything was extremely clean and well maintained. Breakfast was 9/10. Would definitely book here again.
Was an excellent stay here. Very friendly and very nice room. Allowed my 2 x to eat breakfast free and it was yummy. Very close to everything so not much walking was required. Tram at front door also. Perfect travelling with children
Very convenient location as it is right near the town hall. Connected underground to the town hall train station and QVB building.
