47A general electrics store, but I was surprised that they had no webcams in stock (at all) and readily cut the price of a HDMI cable from ~$70 to $25 when asked. How much is their markup normally? We would have been screwed out of $50 if we hadn't asked about a discount.

The only place locally for electrical goods. A small selection compared to a major shopping centre.
Shopped at HN Salamander Bay on 11th March 2018. Store was busy so had to wait a little while. It was worth the wait. I was served by a young man named Mathew. I was wanting a cheap tablet, nothing flash. He walked me through the pros and cons of a $97 and $180 tablet. Brought up the specs of both. Based upon this information I chose the $97 and walked away very happy. Very good customer service from a very competent young sales assistant. Yaaayyy for the day.
Most of the staff are lovely and knowledgeable, there are times where you are not approached for some time usually because the good staff are with other customers. I can see that the manager is trying very hard to improve the level of customer service and in my experience she personally ensures any issues are rectified immediately.
Have been shopping here for going on 14 years & we have never encountered a problem, not with the sales people & not with the delivery people.
Absolutely first class service.
