What an amazing hosts and sommeliers. Thanks so much for introducing me to Australian wines, especially the Grenache and Shiraz. The cheese pairing or almost perfect. Nevertheless it was an absolute pleasure speaking and experiencing the wines!

Such a great venue to take a flight through a region or style of wine that you like. The staff are all great with their hospitality and knowledge. For a non cheese eater the charcuterie options are excellent and tasty.

I've been here twice now for the cheese and wine tasting and I highly recommend as its incredible value, great service and a lovely venue. Have recommended to my work colleagues to entertain clients.

Nice wine varietals, good service, and huge shop. They do have something for everyone, whether it's regions, grape varietals, or even price points. The ladies serving us on a weekend were super nice, very meticulous with their showcase, and good with their recommendations.

We got ourselves the tasting flights, and that allowed us to try a series of wines that they carry, before going deeper into any specific wines that we like.

What an amazing experience. Just the way wine tasting should be done. Excellent service and attention to detail by our waiter Mitchell. We will be back!

We popped into Handpicked yesterday after craving for a cheeseboard and some wine. It was the first time we went in after walking past many times seeing people doing wine tasting there. We decided on the Wine Tasting Flights (#1 & #4) with the cheese pairing and they were absolutely delicious! The wines selection was very unique which lead us to tasting a few we wouldn't have normally ordered ourselves. We ordered some crackers and tried out the chilli salumi as well. Overall a great late afternoon adventure with 5 star service.

Such a great place for our wedding! So professional. Great attention to detail and the staff made us feel so welcome.

I have a couple of hours free so decided to drop by for wine tasting since this is the only “Cellar Door” in Sydney who replies my emails. Very beautiful place which puts me in the mood for some serious wine tasting. Was serviced by this petite quiet looking Chinese lady who impressed me with her wine knowledge (WSET level 3!) and excellent service. So sorry I forgot her name. Tasted a lot of wine and it was great to be able to taste 3 different kinds of Riesling and 4 different Pinot Noir from the same producer (but different regions of Australia). Highly recommend!

Great wine tasting in a very nice environment. Knowledgable staff, and the food was great. Especially the smoked wagyu is amazing.

Brought very good friends into Handpicked wines and we were treated like Kings and Queens, awesome service, expert recommendations and great banter. Left very well satisfied.

I’ve always loved Handpicked and have been coming regularly for years now. Have always had incredible service until today, when the waitress/sommelier who later identified herself as the manager was incredibly rude when I asked if I could have a glass of the Mornington Collection Chardonnay. Instead of simply stating that they didn’t have this available and offering an alternative or directing me to the menu to choose another glass, she very rudely and bluntly said I had to buy the entire bottle and then walked away. Her manner was very rude and accusatory. Extremely disappointed that my favourite wine bar has now become so unfriendly.

I've come here many times for wine tastings and always had a great time until last night. I came with a friend around 6: 30 pm and we each ordered a flight of wine and some cheese etc. All good. Then suddenly the waiter brought us a check at 7: 45 and didn't say anything to us. About a minute later they start very loudly playing the song "closing time" and we can hear the staff laughing. The establishment is still fairly full at this point. My friend and I look at each other in disbelief. The table next to us is shocked and we all agree that it's extremely rude. Mind you the music is now so loud that we can barely hear each other! We had one glass of wine left so we just drank it as quickly as possible. "Hit the road jack" comes on as the waiter approaches us again asking us to pay the bill. We do so and leave.

I don't think I will be coming back unfortunately. We paid over $100 for our food and drinks to then be passively aggressively kicked out. We thought this was a classy establishment but I stand corrected. The staff could have quietly come up to us and said they were closing. Keep in mind that it was not even 8pm on a Saturday. The couple next to us made a comment to the staff who just said "it has to be done".

A really nice place with a great environment to taste wine. This is also a great place for a casual online meeting or a small talk between close friends to enjoy the after-work time.

I enjoyed my afternoon here with the tasting flight of Four Shades of Wine. This flight is friendly for ladies and also a great choice for wine beginners.

And last weekend I attended a workshop which was held by Handpicked Wines and Ding Tai Fung. This was my first time to try traditional Chinese steam food with wines. I have to say it was a great experience. Both of the handpicked wines and Ding Tai Fung food are worth trying.

Will definitely return - but I will come earlier next time
The venue is amazing (an open, Chippo-style urban wine bar) and the wines were great (we got the flight called "Arvo in veale gardens") but all staff could think about was closing up
We got in at 7pm on a Saturday and they immediately told us tasting were shut, the kitchen could not do cheeses because its too late and then had the nerve to clear our glass each time we finished it
I think this place is great - but never go in the last hour before closing

Stopped by here on a Sunday afternoon for wine tasting. The person who helped me out was so friendly and helpful in selections and we tailored the tasting based on what how I liked the first 2 samples I tried. If you buy 2 bottles they waive the tasting fee. They also gave flights and charcuterie boards. The tasting room is also near a bunch of restaurants in spice alley.definitely a fun night to spend with someone!

Consistently beautiful food, wine and service. Worth enrolling in their loyalty program too for birthday rewards.:)

Came here for a work Xmas party and the man serving us by the name of Kevin his knowledge and pour skills were amazing this man was witty, funny and knew how to handle a crowd he deserves a raise.
