Awesome company to deal with. Jeremy was friendly, easy to communicate with and able to answer all my questions. At know stage was I pushed into anything and they were up front with all costs and the best system for my budget and needs.

Service was prompt and the installation went off without a hitch.

In summary, easy professional company to deal with, awesome staff. Thanks Jermery and I look forward to installing a battery system in the future with you guys.

We are dealing with Michael from this company and so far things are going smoothly he certainly is a gentleman and seems to know about solar. As for 2 other companies they didn’t even get back to us whereas Michaels contact with us is excellent. Hope the rest goes smoothly.

Excellent service so far. Michael our sales contact was very helpful and informative and very good in helping me work through various options which led me to change my mind about suppliers (to Green & Gold). Just finalised the deal, so nothing is installed yet (and hence the 4) - but so far very satisfied.

0 stars. I have had such a terrible experience with Green and Gold. I needed to upgrade my electric system (which they warned me I might need). I had a stream of random tradespeople turn up unannounced, months of waiting after the panels were installed, no contact from Green and Gold to tell me what was happening, no idea whether the work was complete. Finally I discovered that the system should have even working for the past three months but hadn't been switched on. The instructions they emailed me contradicted the pictures they sent. After another month of contacting ACTEW and Green and Gold trying to get a resolution, ACTEW suggested I contact the electrician and provided his details. He arrived to tell me the system was not switched on properly, a switch not even mentioned to me by Green and Gold. Green and Gold now tell me I will have to pay for the callout.
Do yourself a favour and use another solar provider.

I contacted Green and Gold Solar for a quote on a medium sized home installation (6.6 kW, 22 panels). From the very start I found them both professional and focused on providing the right solution for the circumstances. As a technical person I had many questions and wanted precise answers, which they happily supplied. Their advice was excellent and invaluable.

The install team called and arranged the install date, and the job simply happened. No mess, no trauma. I didn't even need to be there. I arrived home to a fully professional installation. To say I am delighted is an understatement. I had a thoroughly excellent experience from start to finish. I highly recommend them.

We wished we had never chosen Green And Gold. Bad experience from start to finish as well as after purchase service.
Please look into other companies before you choose to use Green and Gold.

Great sales experience. Great price and quality products. Only criticism would be over the lack communication around the install, however when push came to shove the job was lined up quickly and done professionally.

We engaged Green and Gold to set up our solar power installation several months ago. They handled notification of our electricity supplier and were found to be most professional and knowledgeable. We have no hesitation in recommending this company.

Green & Gold Solar were proactive in organising installation and liaising to getting the physical panels and inverter installed.

I also felt that for the price we got a good outcome, at least as far as the panels and inverter were concerned.

After installation I paid the remaining balance and asked my energy provider to install a smart meter so I could start legally using the panels. Once Origin came out, they informed me that my unit has a shared service fuse that needs to be upgraded to enable installation of the smart meter.

In hindsight, what followed was avoidable; I probably should just have organised the uograde myself. Instead I made the mistake of asking G&G to organise it.

It seemed that since I had already paid, there wasn't any interest in supporting me. The sales representative who organised the installation was helpful and did his best to refer me to the support staff, but the individual who I was supposed to contact simply ignored my follow up emails.

After 4 emails over 2 weeks trying to get a hold of him I called the company and spoke with the (helpful) sales person, who contacted the support guy directly. This resulted in an email saying "I'm still waiting on a response from the electrician" followed by nothing for three weeks. Obviously he didn't have any interest in actually organising an electrician.

At one point I was told that a local electrician had accepted the job, but when I contacted them they had no idea what I was talking about, and I never heard any follow-up on the job from either the electrician not from G&G. That was 6 weeks ago.

It has now been 4 months since my solar was installed, and 2 months since G&G ostensibly began organising an electrician form me, and I still don't have the installation set up.

I've since given up and arranged for the service fuse to be split myself, but the whole ordeal has made me lose trust in them as I have no confidence that they'll provide support down the track, since their interest in helping me seemed to vanish after I paid.

It's disappointing because I actually felt they did a really good job with the installation itself.

The reason I'm giving 3 stars is that the initial interaction with the sales/installation people was worth 5 stars, and the follow-up was worth 1 star, and I'm taking the average.
