Gosford Regional Gallery reviews
60Great little gallery with 2 excellent exhibits. A beautiful Japanese garden outside. A children's playground is within easy walking distance. Lovely cafe for breakfast or lunch
Went to see the mental health artworks exhibition. Wow some amazing artworks by some amazing artists.
Google Gallery, amazing garden, it is well-maintained by the council, and it's free to enter!
Great to lose your mind and peaceful. What a happy place to see and the coi pond with ducks makes nature feel free
This contemporary art gallery is a must see! We were greeted on entry by some lovely and informative women, who were very passionate about the area. We explored the Japanese styled gardens for at least an hour, as well as feeding the carp ($2/bag of food)
Very neat little gallery. Japanese garden in the rear a hidden gem. Exhibits were engaging, and the gift shop pleasantly surprising. Friendly staff as well. Small and regional though it may be, worth a visit, and a walk.
Beautiful Japanese Garden, from every angle it looks like a painting. The work that has been put into it is astronomical.
Just outside the gallery were displayed art work by year 11 and year 12 students. It was so impressive and awe-inspiring. My children and I loved it, exspecially the doll house by Amber Davies made with muscial instruments and highly tactile materials. It was wild and my kids loved it. They used ever ounce of will power not to touch it. It defiantly has inspired me to make something similar with my kids. Would be amazing to buy from the artists, they were all amazing. Thank you to the lady at the centre help desk for sharing her feelings about each work and then giving a booklet about the exhibition. It was so nice to share the excitement of the works together.
Inside the gallery, there were some gory ceramic figurines. Any sensible person knows what it was depicting. It was an upsetting moment that didn't need to happen, especially since I had little children with me. A 'mature content warning' would have been appreciated. Please consider the age of your audience.
Besides that, I really enjoyed the Japanese garden, the feeding of the koi, and the awe-inspiring work of the year 11 and 12. Please continue the amazing work
The gardens are beautiful. The gallery is lovely. A nice place to spend an hour.
Loved feeding the koi and the cheeky ducks.
A shame about the rude staff in the Cafe who didn't acknowledge us waiting to be seated today.we left.
Lovely little gallery, spectacular Japanese garden and excellent community gallery adjoining.
It would be great if there was a tap and go donation option as in other galleries and gardens.
The gallery has a great exhibition space and the attached Japanese garden is great for a walk and to relax. The only downside is the Café. Seating and staff are nice but the food was below average. - Overpriced and underseasoned.
What a beautiful experience! The gallery is really wonderful to walk through. The gardens that lead out from it are absolutely amazing! An awesome world of Japanese gardening. Wildlife abounds.
Great place to take groups or for a fun day out. Great layout and friendly employees and volunteers. Top point Cafe has really good food.
A beautiful Japanese garden, yes the place is a bit small but still a relaxing treat! The art gallery is a must see as well!
A very serene artistic gjapanese garden to wander thru, then enjoyed a beaut luncheon at the restaurant there.
The walk around the Japanese Garden is beautiful especially in Spring and wisteria season. You can buy fish food to feed the carp and there a lovely area to sit and relax or join the many plein air artists.
Gosford Art Prize 2022 at Gosford Regional Art Gallery. Hosted in this modern building that is housing the art gallery exhibition. An amazing array of art in so many awesome styles. A cafe alongsidse is also open and airy and the whole area and art pieces well lit. Excellent staff on hand who welcome you and explain the artists work. If art isnt your cup of tea, there are the pleasant and compact Japanese Gardens through the back where kids can be mesmerised by the ducks and koi carp. When you hace had enough go back inside and enjoy the cafe. A great haven for a couple of hours blissful escape.
Lovely gallery, great space. Enjoyed the exhibitions, esp the variety showing in the Community Gallery. Next visit will be with pens and paper to draw in the gardens. Beaitiful
It's nice to go through the art. It has a Japanese garden in the back which is great to sit outside and watch the fish. Our little ones loved it here.
An excellent art gallery, has a very good exhibition from the Central Coast Water Colour Society for next 2 weeks.
Has a cafe with great coffee and snacks. Highly recommended
Great little space, interesting exhibitions changed regularly. Beautiful garden and attached Cafe.
