Bar none, the worst customer service experience I have ever received in a retail environment.

My experience seems to be matched by previous reviews, and I guarantee it’s the same employee - his name is Ali. Beware of this man’s aggression, arrogance and rudeness.

Went in to pick up a click and collect order on behalf of my incapacitated father (same surname and email confirmation authorizing me to collect). Produced my digital NSW drivers license and was told that wasn’t sufficient. I explained to this man that, it’s perfectly legal and serves as a suitable form of identification, and that if it’s good enough for the NSW police and service’s NSW that it would suffice to pick up a carpet cleaner at Godfrey’s.

Nope, Ali said, and I quote; ‘bro, don’t tell me about the law, I know more about the law than you do’.

I was shocked! After this man got on the phone to his manager and spoke in another language in front of me, he reluctantly agreed that this would suffice as his manager obviously told him it is in fact perfectly reasonable. He then threw my receipt on the floor in front of the counter and told me, and again I quote; ‘take your stuff and leave, don’t come back here’.

I’ve since spoken to their head office who have apologized and assured me this is not indicative of their company values, and whilst I have shopped with Godfrey’s before, I certainly will never visit this store and will advise everyone to do the same.

This man ‘Ali’ should not be in customer service. He has no interest in serving people, highlighted by the fact that he was watching a Bollywood movie on the store computer when I initially walked in.

It’s a shame I’ve had to leave this review and unfortunately, regardless of the outcome of the complaint with head office, it will stay up, as this is not a reflection on their products, but instead the staff that they employ. If I were a young woman or such, I would have feared for my safety being around this man. Disgusting behavior and I hope he doesn’t stay in a customer facing role much longer!

We started on mother's Day, searching for a carpet cleaner.
We called two other local Godfrey Stores much closer than Blacktown Megacenter store.
One store offered to call me back which to this day no phone call back, the other told me to go on Godfrey's website, which I was asking them about stock availability for pickup that day and was already on the website.

I decided to give Blacktown megacentre a call as I've always used Godfrey's for the past 20 years.
I was delighted that Garry answer the call, gave me the customer service that I deserve and was happy to phone stream a demonstration due to the distance to the store.
He was willing to go above and beyond to keep myself in the Godfrey's family.

At this point I decided to go instore about a 40 minute drive. After meeting Garry and him giving me outstanding customer service and the time of day I purchased the machine that was perfect for me.

I would highly recommend Garry at Godfrey's Blacktown Megacenter. He is a honest and genuine store owner. It's a credit to him and his team.

Looking forward to future purchases, will definitely be seeing Garry again.

Went with a disabled client today and was greeted by a massive yawn and the rudest and most arrogant man I have ever met.
If the product had been available at other stores then we would have gone elsewhere. The man tried to sell us a $500 vacuum which was the upgraded model of the one we were after, when we declined the prices dropped to $200, we asked for a discount on the vac we were buying as it was the floor model and last one, only to be told "Ive just given u a discount, without u asking on the other model" he then walked off as we declined. He literally threw the vac in a plastic bag and sent us packing. No box. Rude Rude Rude

The tore has a lot of products. Their customer service was brilliant and both the manager and employees are very friendly. I met the owner/manager of the store, Gary and one employee Fayz. Both of them helped me tremendously to pick a vacuum for my home. The owner gave me a pretty good deal on the vacuum and also a very long warranty on the product and also free servicing.

I recieved a Terrible product and customer service. Do not recommend this store at all. Purchased a commercial vaccuum cleaner her and 2 weeks of use it lost suction so I cleaned the filters and let them dry out for 2 days used again still no suction. Took in for repair. When I got it back it was the same. Called the store and told them about issue. I was told to bring in on weekend to get a replacement from the manager as he is only there weekendsthe person I spoke with said they would leave a note for replacement for me. I took it in and was told there is nothing they can do. So I am now stuck with a vaccuum that was used for 2 weeks and 1 day and doesn’t work. Not nice people either. I will Never go here again.

Beware, handed me an opened/used bottle of a cleaning solution purchase while distracting me to buy another product. Very dodgy, only found out after I got home. 2 gentleman of indian appearance working behind the counter.

Hopeless service. Indian who could barely understand what I was saying or even clarify if he had the item I was looking for. Long time Godfreys customer who won't be coming back. Such a pity.

I attended Godfreys to purchase the vac that was on sale as my Aunty has the exact vac and suction is very good and she’s had it for a while. When I walked into the shop the sales guy that worked there was very welcoming and nice and when I told him I would like the vac that was on sale he told me that it’s a cheap vac and it will break after a few weeks. The sales guy suggested I buy some German vac which cost over $400 and he kept showing me what the vac could do and saying how good it was but I repeated so many times I was not interested in the expensive vac and was only looking for the vac that was on sale but he ignored what I said and kept telling me about the german made vac anyway after 20mins of him telling me about it I told him I lived in a small unit I don’t need a big bulky vac and he then suggested another German made vac that was smaller yet it cost $349! And I told him I just want the vac that’s on sale but he did not budge but for the 10th time I explained what vac I wanted the sales guy got so angry and chucked the vac he had in his hand on the floor and told me problem solved go get the cheap vac! He walked behind the counter was so angry just starring at me and I honestly felt so uncomfortable I was shocked at the service! He was so nice at the start and because I didn’t want to buy the expensive German made vac he was so angry! I didn’t feel like purchasing the vac anymore because how the sales person was acting so I went to walk towards the door and he yells “WHERE ARE YOU GOING” ignored him and quickly walked to my car. Never again! Buy online guys

The manager of this store is very rude and doesn't listen to customer refuses to honour company 10 day guarantee instead argues the point that product has ever had a disatisfied Customer in past wich I find hard to believe. Do not buy from this store. They are the largest where as your smaller stores are not making as much and work hard for sale and this place refuses to refund would rather make the cash and you can send product back to a smaller store. Disgusting representation and attitude for godfreys.
