Glasshouse Port Macquarie reviews
58Went to see Elvis Roy Orbison and Jonny cash was fantastic thanks for great time I'll be back
Great staff and auditorium although the sound was not good from my seat at the extreme left and front?
Beautifully presented, the young performers, the music, the costumes and the scenes-very enjoyable.
Best ship in the universe and its the fastest ever built its combat ready it can travel through time its a Time machine
Went there for Luminosity Youth Summit, pretty cool area, nice staff, would rate 18 out of 19 Toyota Corollas.
Lovely venue. Wonderful staff. Only downfall to me was stairs to toilets downstairs was only access. Upstairs toilet had stairs and a lift.
Glasshouse hadLower north coast dance festival
Amazing experience for all involved children staff and audience
Great facilities
Glasshouse Port Macquarie is a very nice entertainment venue. Very clean and alway organised. The Staff at the Glasshouse are unbelievably so nice and happy to help with what ever they can.
Excellent venue. The exhibition of Big Day Out photos was a blast from the past & I am almost certain I saw the back of my head in one of the photos.my one & only claim to fame. Nice variety of items for sale in the gift shop & the kids enjoyed the free craft/art upstairs.
No car park for the venue is challenging if departing an evening event.
Seating in venue is crowded and challenging to manoeuvre past other seated attendees.
Photography/recording policy needs to be reviewed for private events.
Venue has potential but it's flaws require change and solutions.
We have just been (and left before the end) Toni Childs ramble on. One hour into the second half and we heard mainly diatribe and promotion/advertorial about Toni’s future. And possibly three songs, two on the video screen. What? !
We believed that, and paid for, we were going to her concert - which involves singing and listening to her absolutely amazing voice and lyrics. How wrong were we.
We aren’t the only ones to leave early.
And we want our money back. We went in good faith believing it was a concert.
Incredibly disappointing.
Huge shout out to the Glasshouse team who go above and beyond to create world class events for our youth in our region with the Luminosity Youth Summit
Loved the behind the scenes tour. It was very interesting especially if you always wanted to see the technical parts such as lighting, etc. The tour guide Lucy and other staff members such as Adam were a very friendly and accommodated all our questions.
First time at Glasshouse and was great. We were up the top but could still see everything that went on the stage. We went to see Human Nature, absolutely brilliant.
It was a funny night @ the international Melbourne international comedy festival roadshow. But it wasn't very Covid safe or alcohol free event. Where I was sitting, I felt like I was in a Covid hotspot.
BAR IS SLOW ON SERVICE:
It's faster to go to the pub over the road for a drink than wait in the queue at intermission. Otherwise hip flask from the bottle shop over the road is a good idea too.
The World of Musicals, Wednesday evening, was just a thoroughly enjoyable show. The performance enthusiastic and the costumes were lovely. The time between each performance was minimal. The efficiency of the performers was evident. Seven of us really had a wonderful night. The theatre is beautiful.
Amazing facility. Visited from Sydney and as well as a show, also did a tour. A modern highlight of design and architecture for the region. Highly recommend a visit.
Nice but small, really needed to be built on a bigger site somewhere else in town as we can't have the big shows due to its size and promoters don't want to send scaled down versions of the big shows here as they can't make a profit so yeah it's nice but a waste of space really.
Dreams Show was absolutely top class and fantastic.
Sound production was extremly clear, at the right level and spot on in the switch between vocal leads.
Lighting production was very bad.
Moving lights behind perfomers were consistently shone in the audience eyes making you look away.
They should have been elevated above eye line.
Spotlighting of the three frontline singers was poor and late in highlighting.
The guitarist was left in the dark consistently.
The show, sound production was exceptional, dreams band was awesome.
Lighting spoilt the experiance.
