Frenchy's Cafe reviews
79A very busy popular spot, good coffee with sandwiches, crepes, burgers and patisserie, separate breakfast and lunch menus.
One of our favourites! It’s a hidden gem. The coffee is superb and the food is reminiscent of sitting in Paris! I love the croque monsieur, soufflé and French onion soup. Service is generally quick and is so French it’s very authentic! Definitely worth a try and then have a walk around the art.
Beautiful place, very courteous staff. Good food but definitely on the pricey side. Friend ordered a baguette, found it wasn't filling at all. I had the pulled duck burger which was more substantial. Another friend found the pot pie very ordinary. I would definitely go back for the chai drinks, really enjoyed it.
A beautiful location on Middle Head, above Balmoral Beach. Light ‘french’ cuisine. Friendly service.
Love it! The coffee, the yummy French food, the ambiance, all is so good and the staff very friendly, so Frenchy!
Nice spot to catch up with friends. Outdoor seating available with plenty of space for your fur baby. Food is okay and coffee decent.
We just had breakfast which we really enjoyed till we found black mould on the toasts. The waitress did not care about it and just said 'oh sorry' and took the plates away. $20 for 2 Benedict's eggs, a piece of bacon and 3 toasts with black mould - not worth it.
Went to Frenchy's for lunch. Had an amazing quiche with salad with a beautiful pot of tea, the sweets for dessert were wonderful especialy the cream brulee. The staff are polite and the service was attentive.
Overrated and overpriced.
The lunch menu is half-hearted to read and even worse on the table. Breads were and sandwiches would have been done better by my 10yr old. Honestly, I'm trying hard to remember a place where I've had a worse meal.
Utterly utterly disappointed by this poor excuse for dining. On the plus side, the locale is great. Keep walking
Great place to go with friends. Very chilled and open. Perfect for people with kids. Food is always at a high standard. Great walks close by after with views of the harbor and Heads.
Loved this little hidden gem and so did my french husband. So tick of approvals all round! The walk there from balmoral beach was lovely and there were plenty of very good french options on the menu. Great for a long relaxed lunch over a few glasses of rosé.
Above average cafe food at above average prices. Lovely bush setting with views out the Heads to the Pacific Ocean. Ok service.
I need to find some crumby restaurants because this is just another great location to go for coffee, a light meal or breakfast. Delightful surroundings, easy parking and good quality food.
Simply superb. Really good coffee.
Make sure you go and look at the views of the harbour. Really worth the short walk.
While location and food is 'le magnifique' it can be too Frenchy (o, the irony!). So, don't expect too much smiling and great service. However, I go there whenever I can.
A tad disappointed with the place although the experience was great:) it's the person that counts! They are supposed to close at 5 but by 430, the kitchen is closed and everything is sold out: (so, no nice pictures of the place!
No many vegetarian/vegan options.
Goat cheese salad: 2 slices of tomatoes, 2slices of cheese and a bunch of leaves ($20) Friendly staff.overpriced
Great atmosphere makes you feel like you're in little piece of Paris. Excellent food and efficient staff with a focus on customer satisfaction.
