Warning to prospective purchasers - I placed a deposit for a new RAV-4 in February 2022. I was promised 5 months but it is now nearly 12 months and I have just been advised that production might be a further 5 months. During the 12 months the production has been pushed back 5 times. It has been necessary for me to attend the dealership in person at each due production date. I have not been contacted about the delays until I attended the dealership. I am disappointed in the customer service.

Have had a very disappointing experience with Toyota Hurstville. I signed a contract and ordered a car in March and was told it would be a 7 month wait for it to arrive. Booked it for the price of $31,200 and put a $1000 deposit.after patiently waiting for the whole 7 months for the car, weeks before the car arrives I am then told by Toyota Hurstville that the car’s price has risen by $4000. Am greatly disappointed that after waiting for more than 6months and signing a clear contract that Toyota increases the price and with very little notice. Would not recommend going here for purchasing a car.

I’ve sent my car for a 80,000km service, drama one after another. When I booking the service the price quoted is $590, while I’m hesitating whether I need it or not, the girl at the other end offered to reduce the price a bit, the price then reduced to $437. First lesson learned - always bargain with your service price. I never thought that way.

Although my service is for 80,000km, but the car only run 46,000km, while doing service I also asked for a pink slip. After few hours I received a call, stating out the problems of the car: 2 tyres need replacement, brake pads need to be replaced, brake disc need to be machined. All in all it’s very dangerous to drive the car as it is. And they can’t not issue the pink slip, instead of a white slip. I never heard of a white slip so asked what is that mean. The answer is they will charged $43 for the pink slip and if come back to fix the problem they mentioned within 10 days they will issue a pink slip to me without further charge. I requested not doing the pink slip, they said still has to charge me. I asked why, answer is because I did the check. I asked again isn’t these checks a routine work you should do for the service? By then they agreed to not charge the $43 pink slip fee.

So I asked to record all the faults on the receipt and leave to me to fix otherwise.

After I pick up the car I drive straight to a close by garage and asked to do a pink slip. Without doubt it’s passed. I write down the brake test result here, if anyone can under stand please let me know what my actual brake condition is.

Test Duration = 1.7 sec
Speed of test = 40km/h

If I take their advice to carry on the so called fix the fault, I will have to spend at least another thousand dollars.

So the best choice to me in not go there, do you agree?

After seeing your reply I went to the mechanic check the front brake pads and took a photo (attached below). From the photo I could see it’s more than 2mm left. The advice from mechanic is also plenty of pads left. I don’t know where is your 2mm left from. Would you explain to me please?

Bought a 2022 Fortuner Crusade from Ferguson Toyota Hurstville.
Ordered in December 2021 and delivered in May 2022 due to the chip shortage affecting all car manufacturers at this point in time and in no way the dealer's fault.
Chris offered a generous deal and kept us informed of the entire ordering and post delivery process along the way.
Staff make or break a business, and to their credit every staff I interacted with were professional and accommodating.
Our next Toyota will be from Ferguson's, too bad Toyotas just don't die.

By far the best service I’ve had. I would like to thank Vincent song for being the best salesman. He was so patient with me throughout the purchasing of the Toyota Prado. Although my case was complicated, he assured me throughout it would be fine and he made it happen. I had bad experience with other stores where the sales people gave up very quickly and also showed no interest. I would recommend all my family members and friends to go and ask specifically for Vincent song to help them out because his sales skills are on another level. I had the most pleasant experience purchasing a car here. The sales person Vincent is quite humorous and made us laugh everytime we met. He always provided responses to any queries without hesitation.
I would definitely recommend Fergusons Toyota and Vincent song in particular for anyone looking to purchase a car here.

Be very careful what they put into the contract. We were promised long tray and waited extra 2 months but it became a 1.5m tray. As they don’t put specs of the tray in the contract nor confirmed in writing, now they came back saying it is the standard nothing can be done. Very dodgy

I have called several times to book my vehicle in to get my tints diagnosed and fixed as it’s starting to bubble, the worst customer service spoke to Mario 3 weeks ago who said they couldn’t find my contract because the salesman who sold me the car no longer works at Toyota, he was going to call me back two weeks later still no call. I then called spoke to wade who said Mario was on leave! Why was my issue not passed on to the next service person why wait for Mario to come back. When I called again wade said Mario was on Lunch and will get back to me who still to this day week later still hasn’t called or replied to my email. I will be taking this up with fair trading if they not going to honour my life time tints warranty.

Maybe I walked in on the wrong day but it felt like there was a grey cloud inside and customer service was non-existent the point of being rude bought my first toyota from Fergusons in 2004 and have had many more since but looks like it will be my last.

Went in today to discuss purchasing a RAV4 for my wife. The salesman, Vincent Song, was disinterested and unhelpful. We were given a brochure and a driveaway price, both of which we could have got online. We weren't shown any cars, offered a test drive, or given options of other cars after finding out there is a 10 month wait. We were also told that even if we purchased today, there would be an additional cost if the car arrived after October. Waste of time, don't go to this dealership.

Unprofessional service attitude, once you raise an issue, they look unhappy and a little bit angry. They give you a feeling that they are reluctant to fix up any issues you mentioned, just give you a random excuse and kick you out of their office asap. I am not sure if most dealerships work in this unfreindly and unprofessional way, but at least this one is.

Air bag light came on in my wife's car so we decided to use ferguson's toyota to do the work as we wanted it done by toyota professionals on site. It took them one and a half days to run a diagnostic. I was then quoted $950 for the job plus $156 for the diagnostic. I went to pick up my car, as I was not proceeding with the work, only to be told the the car was at an Auto Electrician off site, (without my knowledge). So their idea of service is to take my car to someone else to do the work, and pocket the difference. I had my car repaired with a genuine toyota part at an Auto elecrician who charged me $635. I kept the $315 difference in my pocket. I unfortunately did not find them very honest and will NOT go back there again.

I had a positive experience at Fergusons Toyota. I was meant to service the car and had to replace my cracked windscreen, too.

They were happy to offer me a bundle deal on the two. Furthermore they were able to process the transaction through Fleetcard. Fergusons Toyota Service department coordinated everything, the part, bringing a third party in for the fitting etc. I just had to leave my car for the day, no hassle.

Recommended!

PS: You can never truly appreciate a seamless customer service, until you're faced with the opposite. Please read my review on Midland Toyota in Perth to get an idea of what is possible.

They got disgusting customer service. Specially the guy called Peter is rude and arrogant. He only talk himself without listening.no manner and respect to the customer at all. Wouldn't recommend to anyone never ever again.

Having only dealt with the parts department can happily say the guys are very knowledgeable, efficient and super friendly love going to this place.this is a great business these guys are absolutely good.
