Everglades Historic House and Gardens reviews
65 Small quaint park. Best to come mid April for the autumn leaves. Beautiful art deco style house run by kind volunteers. Well worth the trip to check it out.
A combination of the Mount Tomah botanical garden and large well managed garden.
It costs $15 per person, but it's worthy to spend for your "models' and/or your mindfullness. It's not very big but it has nice dynamic views. Recommend to see it once.
Fantastic setting and well maintained property. The gardens are a beautiful and the house very interesting. So much to see and all worth exploring.
Tucked away gem in Leura. There's an unforgettable 'window' which acts as a frame that overlooks the majestic Blue Mountains in the background.
Lovely gardens, well kept presented home. Small cafe was open.helpful staff. Reasonable entry price. Annoying using eventbrite. Eventbrire does permit selecting various times, just persevere. Easy parking. Visited Saturday.
Beautiful gardens. Yes the entry fees seem a bit steep. But we got in for free using the discovery vouchers, but even without it's worth a picture perfect visit. The toilets are actually clean too.
Spend some time in this garden and visit the house to feel the pleasure of rich life in mountains of the beginning of XX century. Especially beautiful in spring but Autumn has lots to show too
The Everglades garden is nice and have some unique key features. The views and landscapes are also beautiful. But the staff's behavior and the entry fees are simply not reasonable. The entry fee is absolutely overpriced. Entire premise has no access for the disabled i.e. Walkway, toilet, entry, carpark etc. I am not going to detail what I experienced from the staff in terms of behavior and attitudes, cause it will create unnecessary debate. But I simply do not feel like to visit again. Clearly repeating that the price of the entry just simply unjustified!
Stunning house and extensive gardens, well worth a visit. Easy to imagine Gatsby having a party here.
Garden created by Sørensen, an renowned Danish gardener, it has a beautifull ambience and is worth a visit. I went to see Jo Truman's exibition and noticed the ducks next to the pond were not the slightest scared of us when we walked past. Very friendly lady were most helpful at the entrance.
Went by this garden and it was crowded with many visitors. Take a stroll on the streets, and it's showing lots of autumn color too.
A lovely little diversion in Leura. Gorgeous gardens and house that shows how the lucky wealthy lived in the 1930s.
I was pleasantly surprised by the extensive grounds and meticulous care taken in tending to the gardens. A great show of what can be achieved when you give nature a helping hand without diminishing its natural beauty. My family and I spent a very peaceful morning at Everglades and would be very happy to visit again in future.
Absolutely amazing the views from the garden over the valley were beautiful and breathtaking its is a very beautiful place full of history and grand design work a must see when in the blue mountains
This would be a highlight of the Blue Mountains for anyone who loves gardens and architecture and history. Stunning vision is on display in many ways.
October is my favourite time to visit Leura because of the stunning cherry blossoms that are in full bloom. We visited on a week day where the gardens were quiet with hardly anyone around. The gardens are absolutely magical and a must see if you're visiting the Blue Mountains.
Stunning gardens! A great family trip. A truely MAGICAL sanctuary. Take your time walking through the gardens and lush green expansive lawns. One of my favourite places in the mountains.
Brilliant historic house and gardens. Awesome place that I have been visited. Huge landscape. I would like to recommend you to visit here once time if you have an opportunity to visit Leura Katoomba. Please come here for exploring the beautiful gardens. There are many interesting spots area such as pools, reflection pool, theatre garden, sculptures, bush, plants, historic house and gardens etc. I do love Everglades tea rooms as I like old historic house. Friendly staffs. Good services and look clean and green place. You will enjoy plants and trees outside. You will the mountain views. Great tea and nice hot chocolate.
A perfect place to explore beautiful gardens, to sit down and have a picnic, or g on short bushwalks. The house is quite a long walk from Leura and the train station, however it is quite cheap to get in and it features a small cafe adjacent to the house if your getting hungry.
