Diggies Cafe reviews
58Thank you to our lovely waitress Sophie, we had a lovely lunch fro my Nans birthday. All the family loved all their meals, they all came out at the same time and the service was over and above. Because we were in a large group we were put in the side room however it was a great spot for a large group as it was nice a private. Thanks for a lovely lunch.
The food and drinks were so delicious. However, I think the serve was not good in the beginning, because I did a booking in advance to prevent any inconvenient and in the booking I wrote clearly in the section for notes that we were carrying 2 little dogs, however the table was organized inside the restaurant without consider the comment made in the booking. And one of the waitress was a quite rude telling me that I did not write that in the booking, when I am 100% that I did. I understand that dogs are not allow inside, however if they know it previously, why the table was not organize in the outside area? I reckon for next booking, please check the comments in the booking.
The service here was absolutely lovely, however we found that the food here was quite average. The avocado toast I ordered was quite roughly put together, it was also very sour. It was a shame because many items on their menu were sold out by the time we arrived, would have loved to try the menu items.
Good selection of food on the menu which was delicious, staff were friendly and attentive, and environment was cosy with great beach views
I like Diggies but not worth 5 stars. Coffee is okay, food okay and service usually good. The location makes it feel a lot nicer.
Edit: Oct 2019. Food tends to be a bit disappointing lately. Salmon croquettes weren't great at all. Odd combination with poached eggs.
The Roasted beetroot salad was also disappointing. It was quite dry with no sign of the orange and mustard dressing.
Coffee was still top notch.
Old review:
Great spot for a beach lunch! Nice coffee and food. Great views.
We come here regularly (all the way from southern Sydney) for breakfast, lunch or coffee.great views, good and interesting food, lovely staff.
We had our rehearsal dinner here for our wedding. WOW, just incredible. The private room in the back is intimate and romantic and with the help from our florist it became absolutely stunning. The three dinner options were all incredible and the chef made a delicious special meal for my vegan mother in law. They were so professional and made our event flawless.
Yes it was busy, but waited 35 minutes for some very oily fish & very cold chips, high price for poor food and uncomfortable steel stool
Great cozy location with a beautiful beach view. Coffee is great, not too keen on the food. Quite expensive, not generously filled or otherwise impressive and very oily (I ordered the autumn bowl)
Cosy little cafe with an amazing view of North Wollongong beach and the lighthouse. Food was tasty and the coffee was amazing!
Absolutely Amazing location. The pricing for food is quite spectacular also. Very expensive for simple food. Kiost next door is just as good and half the price with the same, if not better views
Great location looking out on to North Beach and wollongong light house, good coffee and a reasonable bacon and egg roll but just go for the view
Superb location and friendly staff with nice welcoming smile. Food was cooked to perfection and served in time. We did have to wait for 5 minutes for an empty table and to be seated. They offered the kids menu with some drawings on the back and colors. Highly recommended for a nice sea view in Wollongong.
Menu can be a little deceptive at times, you think when you order something that everything listed below the title comes with the meal.apparently not, they are classed as extra, even the fish and chips didn't come with tartare sauce or a simple wedge of lemon, the staff are always friendly, but the food.average.
Everytime we travel from Sydney, we have breakfast or brunch here! My son never stops talking about his 'bowl of coffee' we had brunch here after my other son went skydiving for his 21st birthday!
Great job guys! We'll be back! (We're a family of 8 and they always find room for us)
Relaxed atmosphere, great views and location, good service and food was.not to heavy.not to light.just right.
