Crowne Plaza Terrigal Pacific reviews
65We have ordered food, waited more than half hour for the food, chips were cold, gravy was cold, salad with chicken was missing corn. Not impressed.
A very old hotel which has had a good lick of paint…. So it feels ok but with old finishes like terrible showers and a tired pool area.
Service is pretty poor in the bar area.
Bar snacks inedible including my sons cremated burger and chips.
Location is amazing for the beach and local restaurants. Expensive for what it is but still not expensive enough to deter the bogans sadly.
Just set expectations low, pay for the location and don’t eat here
Our room featured has an internal door connecting it to the adjacent room. While we suspected that the walls might be thin, allowing sound to travel, our neighbour did indeed hear our conversation and reported it to the reception desk. It is ok to let us know. But how they approach is very odd. The manager came to our door late at night instead of simply calling us to address the issue, which we found somewhat unusual and inconvenient.
Car park was $32 per day which could have been lower or included since we booked the room over $8XX per night with additional breakfast cost $40/ppl which did not meet our expectations in terms of value at all.
Despite booking for three adults, the room's amenities were only set up for two people, apart from the additional bed which is very small.
Overall for the price we paid was not worth the value and services we received. Very disappointing.
Came for the high tea and whilst the food was nice enough, I was not happy with the table they placed us at.it was low and awkward to eat, we were shoved to a side table and the air con was broken.
The worst hotel of IHG hotel chain ever!
.
Let me clarify one by one.
.
1.) No free parking for customers? How we need to get charged 32$/day for parking? Or at less half price for hotel’s customers?
.
2.) Unwell-prepared/inadequate amenities even “Water” complimentary in the room?
.
3.) Unprofessional behaviour of staffs, we got “noise complaint” at 1 am.that manager knocked our door’s room and told us that we kept opening and shutting the door but we didn’t. Instead, should they have called us by land line? Because it was very abusive for customers in terms of “courtesy services”. Repeatedly in the morning, i called the reception requesting late check out from 11 am.to 12 pm.because of daylight saving, time changing. This means that we have shorter time to take a rest and prepare ourselves. However, one of cleaning staff knocked the door again at 11 am.asking if were checking out? WHAT?
.
4.) Less food stalls and not worst it to pay 40$ additionally for breakfast package since you can find some better foods to have at “The Entrance”, one of the famous attractions nearby.
.
I have been one of brand loyalists to IHG group. Besides InterContinental hotel, i choose Holidays Inn for my short stay and this time because i trust in IHG standard quality, i choose Crowne Plaza Terrigal. Nevertheless, they literally disappoint my friends and i who recommend this hotel.

No more chances for the Crowne Plaza Terrigal, i would say.
Good food, incompeted staff. Blonde girl long hair very inefficient and full of self importance. When chipped about service of bar, it's not a line up! It's who's standing at the bar waiting for service. Good to be friendly but keep the conversations short please.
We recently enjoyed high tea at the Crowne Plaza Terrigal. Everything was perfect for our celebration, staff were very attentive too.
Awesome place for family and kids. Everything is so close by food drinks and entertainment you name it it’s all there yeah only bad thing.is that the most of the shops close at 9 pm.so if you wanted a yoghurt ice cream for the kids you gotta get in before 9 pm other than that it’s a great vacation holidays
Upgrade is fantastic
Food not so great
Ordered fish and chips for $25 absolute rip off 3 small size fish way to much batter chips and salad were fine but will not get it again way to expensive.
Bar service was sensational except for one who was picking up glasses and meal dishes before we were even finished did not even ask
Thank you
This place is in desperate need of a major overhaul. I wouldn't go back. The staff weren't to friendly either. It certainly wasn't worthy of the $800 room rate. One plus is the area it is located.
Visiting Terrigal for a basketball tournament soon and am staying here, heard it’s a great place
Crowne Plaza Terrigal Pacific is an excellent hotel, friendly accessible, and with all the amenities you would dream of.such as a fully equipped gym, spa, sauna, nice restaurants with breathtaking views, vending machines with an array of snacks, etc. The staff working at the Hotel are all superb! All extremely courteous, helpful, and kind. I love the Crowne Plaza Hotel, it is certainly my favorite place to stay with my family for a relaxed carefree holiday.
Got a great deal, Locals retreat package, upon checking in I was greeted by a beautiful lady named Denise, she was welcoming and friendly and asked what the occasion was I said anniversary before my husband and I could get to our room she had already sent up a complimentary bottle of wine. It’s the little details that made our stay wonderful
Staff were friendly (front desk and both bars we went to). Loved that Housekeeping would greet us in the halls as well, really made us feel welcome! Rooms are a bit dated but the views and proximity to cafes etc more than make up for it.
Wonderful experience.
Excellent facilities.
Very friendly staff.
GREAT location.ocean views spectacular.
Food cooked to perfection.
Cannot fault it overall.
We enjoyed an excellent stay over one night. Fantastic value seafood platter at The Beach house. Not so efficient service at the Lord Dudley lounge.
Nice room, great location. But you can't advertise a heated pool when it's freezing and not heated. That's a deal breaker.
Edit: In response to owner, that pool is not 26 degrees. The beach was cold and yet was still warmer then that ice cold pool. If a heated pool is a priority for families, book elsewhere. Otherwise, the place is quite nice. My one star is because a heated pool is our biggest priority.
Such a great getaway option. The hotel is lovely, old but fab. The food in Sea Salt is delicious. Miss the buffet option, it was changed to set options due to COVID.
A beautiful hotel in every way. Great location and luxurious room. Delicious dinner and breakfast in Seasalt restaurant and the staff are friendly and helpful. My favorite hotel stay by the beach.
An absolutely delicious and beautifully presented High Tea. Staff were exceptional, cocktail were amazing. A must try is the Strawberry Daiquiri. Gorgeous views and comfortable furnishings. Well Done Crowne Plaza Terrigal.
