Christine Cao's The business is handled very quickly, the service is also very good, and both Chinese and English can communicate fluently.
Go to Chatswood Chase Commonwealth Bank to open a new bank account and she is explaining everything about the new account. On top of that, she also explained to me what I would get if I converted my home loan and commercial banking to cba. She is a very professional business person.

Went in to confirm identity on a second account, after explaining clearly what I needed the gentleman went on and just try and “fix” my name on my first account and messed it up and spelt it wrong, didn’t even ask if it was okay and didn’t solve my first concern. I wasn’t able to realise this mistake until after I left and had to go to a different branch since now I had to fix my name on my first account and actually get my identity proven on the second one. So instead of helping me he just created another big problem.

If can give a minus star I would. Awful service, unprofessional, lack of knowledge for simple transactions, at Chatswood branch I was served by 4 people to do the most basic transaction, to add to the experience none of them could speak fluent.
What happened with the branches?
I don't need someone to speak in different language.

We had to do a school project here and everyone was very lovely, supportive and understanding.they were very helpful to us finding out information and how to start an account.i don't know how practical it is because i didn't actually bank anything but lovely customer service

Mixed experience:
Excellent service from a middle aged Asian lady with shoulder length hair at the counter. She was very helpful and courteous to her customers. I regret not remembering her name.
Due to a number ATM machines not working at the same time, I had to go to a different branch to deposit coins.

Awful service, teller wanted to charge a free for exchanging a few 10$ notes for fivers. In all my years, CBA has never had a fee for this. Note exchange something every bank and even woollies does for free without batting an eye.

Went to this ATM trying to put coins in there multiple times and yet every single time I go the coin machine isn't working. Don't think they care enough to fix it.

I rocked up just before closing to the branch and the staff at CBA Chatswood were more than accommodating. Spirna professionally and efficiently dealt with my transaction dispute. Despite the shutters going down while she was processing the dispute, I did not feel rushed at all. Thank you for the great service!

Customer service shocking. I have been a client of over 30years plus. Today i had the need to deposit loose coins. As the auto machine coin counter was out of action I was told to wait in line to be served to COUNT loose coins.

Waiting patiently in line for 15 min. Once at counter i was told that i was meant to count the coins myself and bag them, in a tone of authoritative and in degrading manner
Obviously the communication is not there.
When i expressed my dissatisfaction and mentioned why wasn't this message relayed to me in plain English as to "yes we can count the coins" or "no we can't not" i was accused of being racist.
Your staff needs educating.

Worst service ever! The branch manager is very very rude! Problem hasn’t been solved when the door is closed, he yelled at me to ‘take your money leave! Get out! ’. Something wrong with this one called David.

Always long queue, serve with this attitude!

The worst retail banking experience I have ever experienced in my time in Australia, in the last 18 years. I don't think they value their customers, and often they just don't know the process well enough, and tells you we don't know. Making some very simple things more complicated to be resolved.

Staff was rude I went for a booked appointment and showed her text from bank and her response was we are fully booked and asked me to bring document I wasn't told to bring over the phone when booking appointment

I have been a CBA account customer for over 45 years and have used this branch for the past 28 years. When you enter this bank, you are greeted by a friendly Chinese-speaking concierge who will inquire the nature of your business and direct you accordingly. This is a worthwhile service as many of the bank's valued clients are Chinese.
Although this branch of the Commonwealth Bank was the subject of a money laundering scheme investigation some years back, they still welcome transactions of small amounts. There are ATM's located on the outside and inside of the premise. Usually the bank encourages the use of the ATM's for the depositing and withdrawing of cash, as there's a fee associated with some teller over-the-counter transactions.
If you want to withdraw a couple of thousand dollars quickly and without fuss, then the far right ATM that's located inside, will accommodate this and dispense the cash in $100 note denominations, usually crisp new notes.
It should be noted that you can readily set up fee-free Foreign Currency Accounts with this branch. These accounts can be maintained in USD, Euro, Hong Kong dollars, Japanese Yen, etc. This is handy if you plan to transfer funds in a particular fiat currency to an off-shore account.

Need to improve their customer service. Had a bad experience with their staff when my debit card got hacked. Had to go thru so much hassle and they made it seem like it was my fault. Staff need better customer service training.

Large, busy main branch in Chatswood situated in the pedestrian walkway at the northern end of Victoria road not far from the train station, Lemon Grove mall and Westfields.

Plenty of ATMs at the entrance of the branch and lots of staff to assist.

I like the concept they practice here where some staff are actually floor walking and offering assistance as you enter the bank. They use little kiosk computer terminals scattered throughout when needed. No need to line up or wait to long to get served.

Top marks and excellent customer service.
