Coffs Harbour Butterfly House reviews
61 I would give 0 stars if this was a option. Over priced for what you see - a few butterflies in a small green house. Tacky would be our description of the entire ordeal. Our kids are between 7 and 12 and didn’t get anything from the visit. When you pay close to $80 for a family of 5 to visit you expect better value for money. I left feeling completely ripped off and our $80 could of been spent much better somewhere else. I would not recommend this butterfly
Park to anyone. Complete and utter disappointment and if I get a serving in response to this review from the owner that’s fine, I feel
Like I need to tell other people not to
Go and waste their hard earned money. Its disgusting that a family
Owned business think they can charge the prices for this place, than be so rude to people truthfully reviewing their so called park! Shame on you Coffs Butterfly Park!
Got bit by some kind of rabid butterfly and now my skin is swollen and red. Now i have one month to live. Wouldn't recommend.
The butterfly enclosure was amazing and the young gentleman at reception was also great.that’s where it ended for me.
I found the gift store a little underwhelming and the staff in the staff not terribly pleasant either. May have just caught people on a bad day. I know we have them.
It would be wonderful to have an option of paying a seperate fee if you’re just interested in seeing the butterflies. $25.00 is a lot of you’re not taking advantage of everything there.
Very pricey for a extremely anticlimactic experience. The butterfly house was super humid and the butterfly's were unfortunately not that interesting. The maze was just not fun or even hard, by the end of it the 'dinosaur' experience didn't even seem worth checking out. We stayed for about only 20minutes before leaving unsatisfied. I really d
on't recommend spending money on this place!
Good value for the money, staff were trying hard to make it an enjoyable experience.well done and worthwhile visit.
Great butterfly habitat, with many occupants. Magnificent butterfly display. The rest (dinosaur show) and maze, good for the kids. Although restaurant a bit pricey. Worth a look for all ages.
Fun outing for children and adults. Staff were friendly and informative. Beautiful gardens to explore. My little one really enjoyed it. Definitely be back.
Had a wonderfull morning at the butterfly house, me and my family had lots of fun. The staff where very welcoming and knowledgeable. And thanks to the lovely staff I found something of great value, thank you so much.
Quite expensive for what it is, but at the moment you can use Discover NSW vouchers, which makes the price more realistic.
The staff are lovely and really helpful.
The first Dinosaur show can be skipped, it's just a little dance party like thing, the second show is a bit better, and fun for young kids.
The dinosaur walk through is a bit more fun, also a little scary for little kids though, but it's a nice walk in the shade.
The butterfly house has a heap of butterflies, but it can get crowded as it's not very big. It's also very hot and humid in there. Just so you know what to expect.
The mirror maze is like the ones you find at carnivals, it's a bit of fun, but can get really hot and close in there, especially when you're wearing a face mask.
The wooden maze is better and has a few shaded areas. It's not an overly complicated maze, but also isn't incredibly easy, so it's worth going through.
Worth a visit when in the area, but not with building a trip around.
The butterfly house is so gorgeous and the staff are so welcoming and knowledgeable. They're very friendly and you can tell they put alot of love into it
It's a very sweet places for family's, solo travellers or people looking for creative inspiration.
Very affordable for the variety of butterflies, Dino entertainment and information available.
Great place to visit for both adults and children. Walk through Butterfly House, a cafe for refreshments and a separate Dinosaur Park with a Dinosaur Show for the little ones on the day we visited. Popular during School Holidays.
Not very large butterfly enclosure. Didn’t learn much about butterflies. The dinosaur walk was the best bit
Lovely place to take your family for the morning. Butterflies galore.
Fun mazes - 'Italian' maze and mirror maze! Dinosaur walk is very cool. Shows are fun (but for the younger set).
Great place to visit they did a temp check at the front door got too see lots of butterflies, highly recommend going to the butterfly house if you're in the area and love butterflies
Great family fun experience, good for money, the dinosaur show was slightly boring and not set out for all child ages, not a lot of sitting outside for the show either.
We had a wonderful time here.from the delightful and informative butterflys to the dinosaur show.with a fun maze to get list in, a fun mirror house to get lost in and slightly scared too.fairy grotto and lovely cafe gift shop.
The staff were A+with customer service helpful and friendly.
A must visit with or without the kids.we will be back.
I was wearing a mask just below my nose. I have a valid medical exemption and I was also wearing a badge to explain that I had a medical exemption and carrying my letter from my doctor. I was embarrassed to be told off by the owner for not wearing my mask over my nose. I explained that I have a medical exemption so I don't need to wear one but I am still doing my best to. The owner said that they don't accept exemptions there. We had gotten our 2 year old so excited on the drive so we still decided to go in, but the entire time I had my mask pulled up I was experiencing the effects of my medical condition. It was really hard to enjoy our time at this place.
Service NSW has clarified for me that a business cannot just choose not to accept a mask exemption as this goes against the Public Health Order and the Antidiscrimiation Act. Service NSW also advised me to seek legal action. I won't be, but I feel that this business needs to be aware so that they don't treat another customer the same way.
We had a great time here on our holiday! The two boys (5 & 3) enjoyed the butterfly house, dinosaur show and the mazes. The staff were awesome too.
Nothing special, not overly huge amount of butterflies. Finish the tour in 5 minutes.it's more of a merchandise shop than a butterfly sanctuary
Very cool, the butterflies are amazing.great place to visit with your family, the dinosaurs are cool. The maze was great also.great surprise when you get to the middle
