Burnt Orange reviews
68 Burnt Orange was the most amazing venue for our wedding. The setting, the staff and the organisation worked seemlessly for our perfect day.
The venue is beautiful in it’s own right, the setting feels secluded and intimate, the food was delicious and elegant and the venue was the perfect place for the best party we have ever been to.
Tabitha was the most amazing coordinator for the day and we have had so many compliments from our guests on how fun and beautiful our wedding was.
Food was good. Service was slow - waited nearly 50 mins for the food to arrive. Beautiful place but service could improve.
Amazing spot for our perfect wedding! Thank you Tabitha and the B. O team for the lost incredible day! We loved it as did all our guests
Met with a smile, seated by a window with stunning Middle Head Harbour views on their spacious balcony, protected from the elements. Staff were so lovely, quick, attentive & very competent. The Café itself was beautifully decorated, tasteful, homely & in keeping with its location.
We can’t wait to return for a dinner booking. May even consider this for my birthday dinner in a couple of weeks
Not a good experience, at around 2 pm, me and my husband went into the restaurant, there are many empty tables inside where is close to the ocean and good view, the lady waitress initial want to bring us inside, but was rejected by the man who looks like Indian or Lebanese waiter said no, you can’t sit inside, just sit outside where is opposite of the cashier counter, very windy and cold there. Their excuse was fully booked, however, it was nearly 2pm and when we can see so many empty seats inside so we just felt terrible and don’t want to go there again…food taste just so so but experience
Beautiful setting, staff are lovely, good service, but the food was not great at all - especially for the price. We ordered the pork belly and Caesar salad for mains. The pork was a small portion size for $40 main, that would have been fine if it was done really well. The skin was not crispy, it was flabby and came with a sprinkling of sea salt on top, which deceived me in thinking that I will get a great crackling. The flavours were good and it was well rendered. I wouldn’t order it again.
The Caesar salad was worse. For a classic salad, the dressing was underwhelming, tasted like just mayanoise. There were no croutons, instead were crostinis that were not crispy at all. The little pieces of ham/bacon were not crispy and weren’t pleasant in the dish. For a $30 + classic salad, they really missed the mark.
The chocolate mousse dessert was good. We have been here before and the food was fantastic. Unlikely to return/recommend.
Great little cafe, only criticism is that there could be more variety in the lunch menu, maybe a couple more salads
I went there with some colleagues for lunch. The location is great and the restaurant setting is pleasant, however it is annoying to have no option but to pay for parking. I ordered the Green Goddess Salad, which took a full hour to arrive. Well, if I was a chef, I would be embarrassed to sell this as a main course for $26! It was basically a bowl full of lettuce, a couple of sugar snap peas, two cubes of avocado, dressing and very few pumpkin seeds. How disappointing. I would not recommend this restaurant, it is a shame because the location is beautiful.
Great food and friendly staff. Service is so so. I was served a salad with a dessert fork, then the waiter took down my order for an orange juice and I had never received it. No dairy free options. My teacup came out dirty.
Lovely laid back atmosphere with a beautiful view of the harbour. Price is on the higher side but expected given the level of service and venue. Great for a special occasion lunch. Meals were all really good.
Friendly and efficient staff! Food is well prepared and delicious. A good place for a function.
High Tea was delicious and plentiful! Unlimited tea, coffee and hot chocolate included in $60pp which is great value compared to other places. Views are beautiful too! Pay parking available a short walk away, but you do need to go up a slight hill and then some steps.
Disappointing - not what it used to be. Our food came out only 5 minutes after we ordered, so it definitely wasn’t made fresh to order. Food was cold and average. We ordered large coffees & received small. Just felt like a pretty underwhelming breakfast & wasn't cheap!
Location and venue are beautiful, just great for Sunday breakfast. I would say food is 4/5, staff was great. Spent 100aud for 2 ppl for brekkie
Thank you so much Tabitha and Burnt Orange for hosting our wedding in April this year! We had 2 dates locked in and had to postpone due to Covid and Tabitha was so incredibly helpful and calming.
Tabitha, it was an absolute pleasure to work with you over that time. You went above and beyond for us and made our wedding planning so fun and stress free.
Our wedding couldn’t have gone more perfect. We ended up having to use our wet weather option, but it made our ceremony more intimate and special as we had just 40 guests.
We had our reception in the signal’s room with one long table and the attention to detail was outstanding and so beautiful. From the lights and decor to the delicious food it was everything we imagined and more. The staff were so accomodating and were so lovely.
Thank you again Tabitha and Burnt Orange. It was the most perfect day and still getting over it. We are very grateful.
Burnt Orange will always be close to our heart and we enjoy going there to relive our special day and also to eat your delicious food for breakfast and lunch!
An amazing place with stunning views. Our breakfast order was still entertained despite the fact that we got there 10 minutes before the kitchen closure.
We ordered Big vegetarian breakfast, Poached eggs with salmon and hollandaise sauce on Sourdough, and coffees. Everything was really good. The staff is lovely. It's definitely worth a visit.
Sydney, Middle Head/Mosman
Glorious views from the dining area. Had my usual bacon and eggs for breakfast. Eggs nicely fried. As usual everywhere, too much bread served with breakfast. Bacon was a little hard and dry. The two cherry tomatoes look a little lost
My nephew had his wedding reception here.it is an absolutely beautiful setting, fantastic food.staff were brilliant and friendly.highly recommended
Amazing place surrounded by beautiful views of the harbour. Seating is on a open covered verandah with great service. We ordered the coffee and it was perfect!
The food was overall amazing. The spanner crab eggs Benedict is a must try and was perfectly balanced. The Trout frocasia however was on the salty side and not very nice.
A picture is worth a thousand words, refer t the high tea photos and menu and you will know why! Classy setup for a classy you with family and friends.
