Disappointed about some rude useless member staff, who doesn't even know what items they have in stock in the shop.
Dropped in to get some paint and couldn't find anyone at the paint counter. Asked one if the staff and was told he was serving another customer but he was no where to be found for over 5 minutes. When he turned up he was less than enthusiastic to help. Where do Bunnings get their employees from?
Good but a lot smaller than most bunnings. Has gotten us out of tricky situations more than once.
Small store so sometimes not able to find what other Bunnings have, better call before if after a specific product. Customer service r best. Especially the guy name is 'Blade' from the paint section so helpful & he's recommendations always works well. If you do need help with your next project I suggest you to visit this store
Randwick shop is very small, lots of items are not available. Normal mess, as it any Bunnings. Tried to buy today a shower curtain, the location on the website, is not even close to the real one. Spent maybe 25 minutes to find what I am after.
Majority of staff was helpful.
Just found it a little difficult being small with so many levels
Extraordinarily bad parking situation, they don't have much of a variety as they are one of the smaller locations. Do seem to always have steam cleaners available.
If you need full range of products, you better go to full Bunnings store, because Randwick store is mini.
I went to the garden centre, only to find so many plants on display dead, many shelf labels with prices not there. 2 staff members just chatting, so much they could be doing
Scary lift!
Think of the "Are you being served! " Sitcom made before I was born!
Comedy show, where the lift is even older!
It only breaks down sometimes!
It like to drop a few inches just as it goes to close the lift doors! Your life flashes in an instant as to whether you will make it to the next floor!
Funny not funny! True story!
Go check it out for a thrill!
Update 4 years later! A big thank you to Julian for advising me re painting my back porch today. He was even spot on with the weather which is why I have time to write this review instead of finishing the painting! He even gave me a checklist of all the different things I needed so I walked away completely equipped to do the painting once the weather improves! Thanks Julian!
As a woman in a hardware store, I don’t like being talked down to. Here there was none of that - the painting staff were patient, very knowledgeable, did not oversell me too much paint and took the time to to understand my needs. I was advised on the best and lightest step ladder too by a lovely gentleman in the downstairs part. For DIY they were all great so I wrote a feedback form telling them so. I agree that the parking area is a bit cramped, so be careful of pedestrians particularly children! All the staff were lovely and helpful and one man offered to help me carry the ladder to the car. Today that level of service is very hard to find. Guys, you rock!:) :)
Great location if you are nearby. Saves trip to Alexandria. You need to know what exactly you are buying and from where. Unhelpful staff and looks overworked by crowd on weekends. When I asked can you help me in plumbing section, staff said right away not "not exactly". Another person gave me quite unuseful stuff which was a joke when I showed the people in Alexandria Bunnings. I still visit Randwick branch quite frequently due to its location. Wish more staff to help there.
Unfortunately, this is a very disorganised Bunnings store, with limited stock. Staff are not very helpful, and one gentleman was very cranky when I asked the price of a product which hadn't been clearly marked.
I recently visited the Mornington store in Tasmania, which is fabulously laid out, with very helpful staff.
Actually got a ridiculous deal on a plant when I went in for a lamp shade haha! What a treat of a store. And Kris was a legend as well. Thanks!
Located after 4-9 bus stops from Bondi Junction train station. The plants and gardening needs are situated at the top level. My effort and time was wasted as they only have limited choices of indoor plants. A few of them were actually dying.
The store has everything you need. It can be a bit hard to find things because of the layout of the store but staff are exceptionally kind to help you out.
Loved it! Everything you could possibly want except for cosmetics, jewelry and fashion clothes. It's an oasis for male shoppers.
This store has really improved. I recently moved back to the area after 2 years and was pleasantly surprised at the changes to this store. I had a written note from my husband for several types of timber and handed it to guys in the wood section and when I returned 30 minutes later, my order was ready to be collected. The only thing I feel could be improved about this store is the signage but the staff I dealt with were friendly and helpful and everything I needed to purchase was in stock. A+ service.
This Bunnings is ok but does not carry the variety of other bigger stores.
It is handy to have a Bunnings in this area but the parking can be difficult and the split level can make purchasing awkward.
