Wall Cracks for Double brick house
We have two walls to fix, one internal inside the bedroom, another external to the house (double brick).

The entire process was smooth and precise. From the first inspection to working on site, the guys were very professional. They explained to us what work is required and might be required to fix the wall crack in long term.

The technicians arrived on time and started by preparing the site. They placed lining all the way from the front door to the room required fixing. After installing the helical bar, they properly patched the wall with cement. The bars in the external wall were installed well as far as invisible (very straight now). They are also sealed very well.

We are very happy with the process and results. Their pricing is very reasonable as well. We will definitely go back to them if we have other issue (which I hope not).

This review relates to my experience when dealing with Buildfix as an organisation. Buildfix carried out work on my 110 year old federation home. Subsidence, structural crack repair, and cosmetic work was done over a 4 month period – engagement to completion.

The Structural Engineer who inspected the job was relatively new to the organisation however, was extremely informative, honest and open about what was achievable with the proposed work. Communication was fantastic, he was punctual and post-onsite questions / queries were responded to in a timely manner.

With the complexity of our scope, and unknowns that were discovered during the repair, our Project Coordinator was a pleasure to work with, scheduling in additional time for works to be completed and always really understanding and respectful when managing disruption to our day to day lives.

This company does not rush to get the job done, there is a real passion within the organisation in restoring homes. So if more work is required, and you can accommodate the additional time, they will exceed your expectations in terms of the quality of work.

The 3 phases of work were done by different teams. Each team thinks of the next; where the subsidence team did additional free injection work because they thought it would help with the next team. The structural guys put additional bars in for free to help ensure cosmetic work would not crack in future. All for the same fixed price quote.

The boys that work on site are unique; They are informative, always checking if we were happy, I heard no swearing, no loud music, they were respectful of our neighbours, and our home (which we occupied as they completed the work). We’ve had lots of restoration work done on this house in the past and other properties and I’ve never met an organisation with the professionalism, communication, quality of work and customer service to date.

Record keeping around warranties, and payment processes very streamlined. Buildfix come with my highest recommendation. Extremely happy with this experience.

Extremely professional - we had an underfloor fan fitted which is very quiet and works extremely well. The customer service throughout was exceptional. Thoroughly recommend.

Truly remarkable remediation. Our patio concrete slab had faulty footings and poor back filling, as a consequence the slab had fallen 150mm from being level. Buildfix were superb. From the initial site inspection and thorough explanation of the process, through to the technicians who carried out the works. The guys are perfectionists and obviously know their job extremely well. We couldn’t be happier with the results, plus the huge money savings compared to removing and replacing concrete and brickwork.

The guys from Buildfix were on time, professional, spoke in plain english and had a good attitude. Explained potential future problems and showed the video of our on grade car park slab rising back up to it's normal level, which had suffered from drying/shrinking clay underneath.

Cancelled on original date. Set new date and time for a 3hr window which were all happy with. Never got a call saying they were on their way despite being told we would and us providing 3 different contacy numbers and just showed up an hr after the scheduled window closed.

Update: told us one thing in person and told our landlords something different on the report

Not a helpful or pleasant experience at all. The brickfixers left alot of damage to our property and now after only a year their warranty doesn't seem worth the paper it's printed on for us. The issues remain afterwards as before except we are out of pocket all for nothing changing but the mess we have been left with on our home that other tradies don't want the liability of fixing. The guy who came to see our house gave really helpful suggestions on a water leak issue, presenting multiple options for a fix. He also ruled out a structural issue that a builder 'identified' which could of scammed thousands if 'fixed'.
