Broken Hill Visitor Information Centre reviews
62The staff were very willing to help and made booking for the Starview Primitive Campsite in the Living Desert State Park very easy.
This is the place to go to find out what to do and where to visit. Very helpful and friendly staff
All good here. Helpful and friendly staff. Got the information we needed
It's bigger than some other information centres we have been to, with cafe and artwork on display. All good. Jim
Restrictive opening hours are no help to visitors & a information package in a rack outside the door does not give a welcoming to OUR City.
A must stop to source accurate, updated information and brochures for Broken Hill.
Melissa was knowledgeable and full of suggestions for our 6 night stay.
The walking tour with a local is a great introduction to Broken Hill and its colourful history - Ray was our guide and he was a walking guru.
Always stop at visitor information centres during my travels. I stop at these locations to pick up paper maps of the local area. You never know when your GPS may stop working. My Garmin GPS has been working perfectly for years. Fingers crossed that itkeeps on going!
Easy booking and check in, nice house and neat clean room, bathroom included spa and was modern and comfortable but the bed was sinking in the middle and made for uncomfortable sleep.
Very helpful in assisting us to find portable toilet chemical. Sounds funny I know but we couldn't find any. The caravan supplies place, at the time, was closed (apparently awaiting the new owner's different location) and the outdoors shop that we'd used before had closed. Customer service girls were also very helpful with road closure info (flooding).
Modern, well located facility with extremely helpful and knowledgeable staff. If you are new to Broken Hill make it your 1st stop to ensure you get all the info needed to get the most from your visit.
Good selection of brochures and maps. Staff member provided lots of information. Opens at 10am.
Lovely big info centre and the lady who told us about the town was lovely and very informative.
Very helpful with extensive knowledge of city, surrounds and nearby regional attractions. Very organised crew!
Soulless, wasn't a place that I felt welcome. No meet and greet or recognition. Lacking in friendly atmosphere.
Terrific Hospitality from Officers place loaded with replays f information eg, books, toys maps, brochures, tour organise + city local historic tours
We had useful advice, starting with time zone which is central (SA/NT) for Broken Hill but not any other town nearby.
We stayed 3 days, one a day trip to Silverton and the rest was not enough, so much art, history, nature and minerals to see.
We were very lucky to arrive just after 9am and not many people seeking information. We were given excellent advice and information about the best things to see. Staying three night in BH essential to really get a feel for the place and enjoy at your leisure. Great advice. Thank you.
Helpful & efficient staff that provide all of the information anyone could require about the town, it's services and surrounds.
Really friendly and informative staff, the set out tells a story of the locally geology and then moves on to the mining history of Broken Hill, the displays are well placed and described, well done!
Would be handy if it was open. An available phone number if necessary on the day we were there. 9/2/20.
