BEST WESTERN PLUS Hovell Tree Inn reviews
65Very friendly staff who are very accommodating and always happy to help. The room was nice, clean, ready on arrival and the air con worked really well. Recommend 100%!
Had a lovely stay in Albury. Room was great (2 bed apartment) and perfect for our needs. Restaurant was nice with great service. Clean comfy beds. Central location. Everything was perfect.
Such a great place to stay in Albury. Jenna and the team do an amazing job.
Highly recommended
We stayed at Best Western Plus Hovell Tree Inn Albury during Easter 2023. Our experience was enjoyable and positive. So much so, that we would like to stay there again when in Albury next.
We checked in on Good Friday. It was seamless and Lara was very courteous and polite. Note to Lara, Geelong FC plays AFL and not cricket.
The room (#46) blew us away. It was the largest hotel room we have ever stayed at. It was clean and airy. The bathroom was super clean too. Housekeeping team had left all the usual items in place for us to use. The beds were comfortable. The only minor issue we had is the door stopper which is placed in the middle of the floor. My wife stubbed her toe on the stopper which was not pleasant.
We had dinner at the Bar & Grill on Saturday night. The service was fantastic. The ambiance was really good. The food was also great. We had a small issue which was fixed quick smart and at no cost to us. Now that is what I call service.
The location is brilliant. Across the road from the great Murray River and the Botanical Garden, the hotel is also a short easy walk to the town centre (for shopping and other eateries). I highly recommend BBB Bakery (1 minute walk, next to the Ampol servo) and Nord Bakery (about 10 minute walk in Ebden St) as places to visit. Great pastries and coffee at both places.
Overall, our family enjoyed our stay at Best Western Plus Hovell Tree Inn Albury and as mentioned above, we will most definitely stay there again. And I will whole heartedly recommend to anyone wishing to spend a relaxing and comfortable stay in Albury.
Thank you team and see you again.
Clean & comfortable accomodation in great location, with modern facilities (incl.pool, bar & restaurant), and undercover parking. Staff friendly and helpful. Recommended accommodation.
Great place to stay for a stop over on a long drive. Great value for money. Clean, modern, restaurant on site had great food.
We have stayed a couple of times now and bith times the service and the rooms have been excellent, highly recommend.
Stayed in 2 room service apartment for a passing through. Just enough for 5 of us. Well equiped. Reasonable price. Clean and new.
This hotel was just fantastic. Such friendly staff, great amenities and access from the car park. The rooms were exceptionally clean and modern with a very comfortable bed. The restaurant and bar/lounge area were really lovely as was the gym, pool, spa and sauna facilities. Easy walk into the town centre. Highly recommend
Clean, friendly and professional staff. Handy location with nice walks 8n park across the road.
Inside spa pool was only just warm. And back jets didn't work.
Foamed up way too much.
I won't stay there again.
Couldn't turn hot tap of Shower in spa area.
Staff were very helpful in helping ensure we were able to check in well after hours. The room was very comfortable, the staff were excellent and the location was ideal after a long drive.
The reception lady working the evening of 15th September between 9pm-10pm was not pleasant. I had forgotten to bring my physical credit card and ID (100% my bad), however the reception lady was rude and dismissive to me and not helpful AT ALL. Not really the best treatment, considering she works front of house for a 4 star hotel.
Other than the rude lady, everything else was great, so kudos to everyone else except her.
Spacious, clean, quiet, well equipped rooms. Excellent bar and restaurant. Excellent service. Walk to local parks, shops and cafes.
Everything was great except that it has advertised a gym, sauna and pool. All were closed for maintenance! Might be a good idea to advertise this given all are shut at the moment.
Paid extra for spa room, spa didn’t work front desk admitted there was a problem with it “it’s temperamental, you needed to have called reception we know how to fix it when it glitches like that. No apology or offer to in any way fix the fact that it had not worked, except that we should have called reception to get them up, like I want reception in my room when I’m naked in a spa, trying to relax, not an acceptable solution at all, very intrusive suggestion, unprofessional to say the least. Admission of knowledge there’s a problem and still renting the room out at a higher rate without fixing it is not ok. Wouldn’t recommend at all with the attitude of reception check in staff. Experience is everything and I’m afraid you got it so so wrong on this one.
Very dissappointing not what is mafeout be.certainly not 4 star. Our conditionerdidnot work and we had to ask for another room which we got the next day
But got the cold shoulder after that. Ordered our meal to the room and it was the wrong thing e asked for. No butter on tray for break fast will never go back or reccomend
Tried too book the restaurant and was clearly told twice that it will not be open tonight 3rd January
Asked the barman at 4.45pm when bar opened and he reiterated with an added comment that this is not a place for kids to dine that it would not be open but walked past 30 minutes later and there was people in there and walked past again at 7: 20pm and the restaurant was nearly full
Clearly this is not a place that wants children or caters for children
Also has an horrendous smell in the hallways and the lift
Don't know if the staff realised that they once, were children.
We stayed at the Best Western for 1 night whilst driving through, the rooms were clean, fresh & modern with everything you need for a short stay. The pool & spa area were lovely, perfectly located with lots of sunshine. We had dinner at the restaurant, our meals were delicious & the service was great! Our only complaint is the random ringing noise that went off every 10 to 20 minutes throughout the night which kept us awake, couldn’t pinpoint where it was covering from!? ! Apart from that - a perfect stay!
The comfiest beds! We had a family room with queen bed & 2 single beds & they were all super comfy. We slept soundly. The room was super spacious with a table. Good smart TV too. Thank you for making our overnight stay restful.
