Absolutely divine hotel. Smallish rooms but full of charm. Possibly the best hospitality staff I have encountered in a long time. Especially Kyra, Georgia, Erin and Andrew.
Great bars and restaurants. Delicious food and well stocked cellar.
Will definitely return to this reasonably priced boutique hotel.

Appalling service. Can't believe the level of rudeness displayed by staff. Stay away from this hotel.

Overall ok stay. The swimming pool, sauna and jacuzzi need some work, it's very dirty.

The king size room is tiny. I'd recommend booking a suite and nothing less as you won't be able to move in your room otherwise.

Drinks were good. However, the food was not amazing, recommend going out instead.

The mushroom soup was sensational! The whiskey bar is super moody and the perfect place to finish up an awesome evening in the Highlands!

I have not visited the Berida for sometime but I needed to book a Saturday night dinner in Bowral the night before.
My wife and I were very impressed with the restaurant and bar as it now exists.
The decor, staff and menu were impressive and I would certainly recommend it to guests and visitors.

I have been living part time and visiting the Southern Highlands for over 20 years but I was not familiar with this hotel. It has recently undergone an extensive and elegant renovation. My photos will tell you more than my words but I do highly recommend this place. I loved the opulent Victorian vibe, particularly the wall paper. I like a hotel that offers hot tubs, gyms and swimming pools. This one has it all. Hotel staff were lovely. Room service menu was good and breakfast was excellent. Eggs Benny with house made REAL hollandaise sauce. (too many cheat on this)
I am not interested in writing scathing or negative reviews. If I don't like a place or a meal I won't review it. I do however offer kind recommendations. In this case I noticed the sauna needed repair. Some of the wooden slats had come loose on the benches.
I was under the impression that the renovations had not reached the sauna.
The gym and equipment were 5 star.

Gorgeous and thoughtful interior decor in a stunning building. The room was small but this wasn't an impediment on our enjoyment.
Oddly, there are a number of attractive features to the hotel advertised on the website which are not running due to COVID - this is totally understandable, but why not take these off the website? The two receptionists we spoke to about this misinformation were not only unapologetic but dismissive of the suggestion a COVID caveat be added to the website to prevent incorrect advertising?

Wifi was strong, pool and gym were of great quality.

As in another review, our room's bathroom curtrains were visibily very dirty - the pool bathrooms were stunning, however!

We also visited Sculptress spa which was absolutely lovely.

The hotel whiskey bar was gorgeous but impeded by an extremely surly and sarcastic bartender staffing the otherwise empty bar. The experience was marred by his bizarrely hostile comments, looks and choice of music volume.

All in all, this venue was a great experience. Would definitely be back if visiting Highlands, armed with the caveats above!

Food was great! Service rude, staff sarcastic. Pity. Spoiled an otherwise great
afternoon.

My friend and I loved our stay here - we had a family room but made up as two king rooms which was perfect for us. We enjoyed the game room, which has a chess board in front of the open fire and super cosy! The hotel itself is so cute and we would come back here. Easy 7 min walk in to town.

We had a wonderful stay at the Berida Hotel. The hotel is nicely fixed up, with rooms for sitting down for a chat or to read a book.

We stayed in a Deluxe King room. VERY comfy bed, perfect set up.

Room comes with a bath which, although a little small, did the job nicely. Only down side of the stay was that the shower’s hot water pressure was a little lower than I’d like.

Bistro Sociale produced a wonderful dinner and breakfast. Steak was perfectly cooked and the pappardelle was amazing.

Look forward to staying again!

On arriving we checked in, receptionist was nice and friendly. The entrance looked wonderfull as the rest of the building had that old world charm.
We asked the receptionist if it was possible to have a meal but they were full, but call back later and as for Ben and there might be cancellation. Which we did but Ben i think was in charge of the dinning room stated that they were full so he sat us down and gave us the drink menu, but never came back. After 40 minutes with no one taking our drink order we left.we past the dinning room supervisor and he asked why we left and we said no one came back to take our order. He apologised and stated he would look after us better the next night.
So the next night Ben sat us down took forever to get us a drink, then we went to the dinning room at the booking time and we were told by Ben we would have to wait, not sure why as there were plenty of empty tables the legal distance apart and also a couple after us got straight into the dinning room.
We are very disappointed by the incompetent restaurant manager as he ruined ower dinning experience. But the rest of the staff were helpfull and very friendly.

My partner and I went to the bistro Sociale to try out their amazing gin selection and we certainly weren’t disappointed! Without a doubt the loveliest gin bar we’ve been to. If you’re looking for some great gin pairings or are new to gin Vincent at the bar is your man, he was absolutely phenomenal plus the nibbles we got were terrific! We’ll definitely be coming back!

The Room was smaller but really nice considering the low price ($130)
Which is much cheaper than anywhere else in bowral.
The food was exceptional.
I can’t wait to bring my partner back to have dinner here again!

Thank you very much for a lovely stay while we were evacuated from the fires. The relaxing atmosphere of the Berida Hotel was perfect. Reception staff were lovely, kind and compassionate.

Calling this place faulty towers is an insult to faulty towers!
Room was dark and small for the price of what I paid (+$260). Air conditioning and TV weren’t working. Receptionist ‘Sharon’ was extremely rude, unhelpful, condescending and incompetent. She basically said that I should fix the issues myself or put up with it. I was able to get my money back for the deplorable inconvenience this caused me but I will be taking this up with the manager. Avoid and spend your money elsewhere in the highlands.

This grand dame was upgraded since my last visit 7 years ago and the bedroom was cozy, quiet and oh so comfortable.easy parking and so many interesting (&yummy) places within walking distance. Driving on the back roads to Robertson was like a throwback to days when cars were few, air was sweet and clean, greenery everywhere you wouldn’t think Sydney was suffering from lack of rain!

The Berida Hotel is the worst value hotel we have ever stayed in. First of all, our room was a shoe box, with absolutely no room to even walk around the bed without having to turn sideways.

Secondly, there is not even a wardrobe, nor ironing facilities to use, and the staff were very unhelpful with trying to locate one.

Thirdly, I left a piece of lost property in the room. When I asked if they could post it to me, the lady on reception was very happy to, at my cost. However when the item arrived it had been broken as it was insufficiently packaged. When I called to query this, the receptionist told me that it was not their responsibility, and then promptly hung up on me.

It seems this hotel is stuck squarely in last century, from both a customer service point of view as well as from the standard of hotel you would expect for over $200 per night.

Avoid at all costs, I suggest checking in to Biota across the road.
