We stayed in a king room with a sofa bed for one night, 2 adults and 2 kids. Room would be a decent size without the sofa bed made up. It’s a gorgeous heritage hotel, great for couples I think. Beautiful aesthetics, old work charm. Our room was under the stairs, ground level. Not much privacy at all of you want to open the blockout curtains as the room faced foot traffic areas. Also the bathroom door was a sliding door which left a sizeable gap between wall and door, so everyone in room is able to clearly see in the bathroom. Since we had kids, and there is a smart tv, we tried to log into Netflix but there was a network issue hotel wide with Netflix, not really their fault. Excellent location and service. Would stay again.

Restaurant was great with very good service and a good menu.
Service both in the restaurant and at the front desk was excellent.

We were happy with our stay at Berida. The staff were incredibly welcoming and friendly. As we were celebrating our first wedding anniversary, they organised a complimentary wine bottle for our room. The room itself felt dated, not as luxurious as the photos, and could do with some upgrades, eg. USB powerpoints, larger TV. We felt like we were stowed away as our room was on the ground floor underneath the stairs, however, it did have an air conditioning system and the bathroom was clean. The food at the restaurant was delicious and I would recommend it.

I've given this hotel 5 stars based upon its consistently high standards of customer service and excellent food. Without being obsequious, staff are friendly, helpful and prompt in their attention and always make you feel valued. Food and beverages (always reliably good coffee) are of a high standard and you can dine safely trusting you'll enjoy the menu choices.

Whatever the occasion, we have experienced a consistently good menu selection, the dishes are well cooked and tasty and they have a good wine list. Good value for money.

The hotel exudes the comfortable charm of bygone days and the bar and restaurant are convivial spots whether you're flying solo or with family or friends. The hotel is quiet and guests are very friendly. It also caters well for children.

However, the last time I visited the hotel, the room didn't have adequate wardrobe or cupboard space and the air conditioning wasn't heating (I was freezing in my room). Whilst the receptionist was very prompt in helping to reset the temperature, it didn't heat. I gained the impression that this was not an isolated incident because she told me that many guests requested room heaters. I think this is important to address, especially as the outdoor temperatures were below freezing!

Investment needs to be made to the landscaping. There are multiple aspects that look out onto messy dumping grounds. Garden improvements could add so much aesthetic pleasure for guests, who may be encouraged to delight in sitting outside for snacks and drinks.

Having said all this, it's a favourite spot to dine and stay in the Southern Highlands. Highly recommend.

From the minute I booked to the time I left, the staff were just incredible! Molly, in the restaurant went over and above to assist me in trying to book and that was before I checked in. The staff were always smiling and very helpful, housekeeping were so friendly and so good. The staff everywhere in the hotel just made our stay perfect. The place is so clean and warm and relaxing. My 6yr old daughter felt like she was at home. Thank you to everyone at Berida Hotel and if there were more stars I would continue adding them on:)

This hotel is good choice in my travel experience, you nearly can have everything in here for holiday! I am very happy their service in room dinner, because I forgot to book the table in their restaurant in advance and it is fully book at the 7pm dinner time, but their still can offer us the good food to eat in the room!

We had a fantastic stay at Berida. The room was clean, beautifully decorated and felt homely. But most importantly the staff were so accommodating and gracious! Will definitely be recommending to friends and family, and visiting again.

The restaurant, bar and staff were 5 star, but the room was 2 star at best. We had a beautiful dinner with great attention to detail, and enjoyed a Sunday morning cuppa in the sun filled whiskey bar. We were gifted the stay two years ago and had a great time. But the room was disappointing for the price ($790 for 2 nights). Small room, one old sash window with average view, small TV and thin walls with lots of noise from other guests. The bathroom was tiny with a mini shower stall jammed into the corner, no soap, cheap vanity. I would definitely go back for dinner but probably overnight somewhere else. Hope this helps your expectations.

Hotel is beautifully styled and has a great atmosphere. The room was spacious and very warm and the beds were super comfortable. The gin an whiskey bars are so cute and a lovely place to sit and relax.

My only criticism was that they put us next to a bridal party who was staying in the grand suite and we had a very early 6am wakeup with them being extremely loud with people constantly coming and going from the room slamming the door behind them. The walls are very thin so we heard everything and were forced to be awake from 6am. They were also very loud until 11.30pm the night before.
Poor planning on the hotels behalf, if they knew a bridal party was staying there they shouldn't have put people near them or at least informed us so we could have changed rooms.

Otherwise a lovely stay and would definitely stay again.

The first thing we did after departing, was work out an excuse to get back to this treasure. We understand Berida is owned by a local family. They must love their staff team, because the service is perfectly friendly and caring. We went to the day spa.after finishing a 90min treatment from Sarah, the only word I had was "outrageous! " - that was the best and most complimentary word I could find. My wife's reaction to her 2-hour treatment was the same. And did we mention the restaurant? It is equally classy, and extremely good value for money. It's only a 5 hr drive back to Berida, maybe next week?

For the purpose of our stay, to attend a wedding it was an ideal location. If only we had more time to utilise the exceptional facilities it had to offer. Staff were friendly and knowledgeable. The double room was small and our ground floor location meant the traffic noise of other guests was heard. The 2nd room allocation for the rest of my family located on the other side of the hotel with bigger beds was more than acceptable. Pricing is not ideal for families requiring two rooms. Great boutique hotel with lots to discover.

Stayed here for 2 nights recently as part of a work conference.
Alocated a lovely room in ground floor opposite the games room. Quiet location, well appointed rooms, lovely bathroom amenities, well stocked mini bar.
Had evening drinks in the Aspinalls Bar & Lounge, lovely room, blazing fire, great fixtures and furnishings.
Breakfast is buffet and eggs/coffee to order, delicious and tasty treats to choose from as well as hot food.
Great place to stay when visiting Bowral.
