Bennetts Head Lookout reviews
54Spectacular views. Met a whale watcher, it looks over main highway for whales going up and down the coast. Really beautiful.
Beautiful lookout over the ocean, with white beaches and mountains fading into the distance.
Today was a wonderful day, we saw around 10 whales in an over view from this lookout point, it's a sunny day and a great view, for nature and whales.
These humpback whales are with their small calves which were flapping their fins and tail, also splashing their bodies on the surface.
Dolphins and turtles just below the lookout and so many whales putting on a show. Breaching and tail slapping plus rolling and waving their lateral fins. So many whales it didn't matter what direction you looked in you saw so many.
The lookout is amazing and there's a very nice walk to a beautiful beach right next to it.
Great view bit windy on the day but great took elderly uncle there he didn't want to leave
Three vantage points to view the crystal clear waters. Easy access and the path is not too steep. At the end accesses the sand dune at 1 mile Beach.
We were extremely lucky to be there as some whales were heading south. What a buzz. Great views of the Forster Tuncurry coastline too.
The location of the premises is fantastic. There is a long walk along the beach which is also fantastic. The town is close by, walking distance.
The pros and cons of the property
What we liked: - The internal of the house was very clean and one could view the ocean from their rooms. The utensils provided was sufficient for normal cooking.
What we didn't like: - No Air conditioner for heating. 2 oil heaters were provided for the whole home upstairs and down stairs. We did feel the cold with the heaters on to the maximum. The furniture, all the chairs, tables and beds are made of iron and as oldies found it difficult to move the chairs around.
Recommendation: - The house is more suitable for the younger generation who could move the chairs and not for the seniors. It will be a plus point if all the furnishers are replaced.
Awesome cliff top views and beautiful sand dunes and surf beach (One Mile Beach) on the south end
Not much parking available as this place is very busy during weekends.absolutely breathtaking view!
One of the best little lookouts in Forster with an relatively easy bushwalk along the headland taking in other vantage points
I have been there for family trip. We watched 20 dolphins. It was awesome!
Nice view & dolphins!
One of best attractions in Forster.
Fantastic views across the walk to 1 Mile Beach. Problem is Council has not maintained the walkways. The overgrowth of undesirable bushes spoils the area.
We did this walk with a pram.there is only say 12 steps right at the start otherwise.it’s all quiet pram friendly.we just carried it up.you can go on the road but cars do fly up the hill. The lookout half way up is also quite beautiful
A Great place to warch the angry waves of an increased swell pattern of the ocean. Absolutely stupendous to watch.
This is one of the best lookouts we’ve ever been to. It’s so special that you can see down to the coastline, with dolphins playing around the rocks and above the sand. Be sure to take the walk to the sand dunes on the other side.
Nice lookout with great views. Easy walk to one mile beach. Flat walk with a dozen of steps. Pretty good.
Good views over Forster. Walk all the way over to the other side of the headland. Plenty of nice lookouts.
