Belgrave Cartel reviews
60Belgrave Cartel is a traditional family owned Italian restaurant. The menu is basic and simple with reasonable prices. There’s an extensive drinks and cocktail menu. The space is cosy and intimate with quirky objects throughout.
Feels great eating here or having coffee.
Happy switched on staff, sweet chilled music and cosy place, which feels like you are at home straight away.
Coffee was strong and lovely flavour.
Breakfast was bang on, bacon and soft poached eggs the way I like it.
Locals have a hip one here in Manly.
Great food, coffee and service. Had breakfast and dinner the same day with family who loved it! Try the lasagne!
Great little local haunt. Whether you are there for coffee in the morning or espresso martini’s at night this place has the authentic vibes of times past. The last of the true locals of Manly. Keep up the good work!?
Hands down best brekkie around and coffee is on point. The Italian way runs deep here which can be tasted in the produce they use!
It’s been years since I have been here and I can see why their doors are still open.
Owner and staff are friendly and make you feel right at home.
Perfectly cooked eggs and the Jaffles are epic! Can’t wait to try the rest of the menu now that I’m back in Manly.
Thanks heaps
Dave
Very nice gals working there made a great mocha and introduced me to me first jaffle. Thank you!
Enjoyable, plenty of food and drink choices, interesting decor, but like so many places, much much too loud for a comfortable conversation.
Good coffee service and location. Breakfast disappointing, tasteless and oily corn fritters, bland ham and cheese jaffle. Forget Belgrave and run to Fika, nearby!
The lasagne is the best ever. Such incredibly great atmosphere, wonderful service, beautiful food. Eat here.
The place has it all!
Ambience, great service, food, great cocktails, selection of rums and interesting wine list.
My new favourite dinner spot
Visiting Manly and this place came recommended to us. The food, booze, tunes, service and vibe were 11/10. Will make a point of coming back again.
Sadly I would not recommend this place. We cancelled due to COVID exposure, did the right thing contacted by phone and cancelled online and was charged 50.00. I emailed to request a refund and was advised regardless of COVID no refund. Notice of cancellation was provided by two methods and time to release the table.
Lovely service but food is average, very surprising given the reviews.
We had the ricotta (bland), zucchini flowers (original flavours and delicious), pork cotoletta (tough but still flavoursome), cos salad (pretty much just cos cut in half and whacked on a plate).
The temperanillo was like port with sediment at the bottom. Server offered to replace it but I felt bad so will take the blame for that.
Review based on food, not on service.
Been here numerous times and never had a bad meal, awesome menu, great cocktails and fantastic atmosphere. Staff are attentive and helpful. Beef ragu pasta was one if the best I've had
Eight years ago I blacklisted this resto because they mucked up my vegemite on toast. Tonight I went back for the first time and realised what I’ve missed all these years. Food excellent. Service excellent (thanks Tom). Highly recommend. My new favourite Manly resto.
Owned by 3 brothers, Mick, Joe and Drew, you'll find the atmosphere to be at home. They're are really friendly, like as the rest of the Cartel's team.
Breakfast and dinner are lovely. Good prices!
We came for 8pm dinner on a Friday and the atmosphere was buzzing and full of laughs. Mix of reservations and fitting in parties off the street. We enjoyed olives and 2 mains- both fresh and artichoke/oxtail melting in our mouths. We had to sit it silence for a bit just appreciating how delicious it was.
Highly recommend for any occasion really.catch up with friends, family or a special occasion. You will be taken care of. Thank you Belgrave!
Our family group had expectations of the food descriptions and price to be really good, sadly this wasn't the case and I would rate it as pub quality fare. Sadly two of us who ordered the same main became very ill with food poisoning very shortly after the meal. Luckily our 18 month old didnt eat this dish. Very disappointingly when we informed the restaurant of our experience we were met with an arrogant flat denial and refusal to accept some responsibility.
The food is amazing, I like that old timey building, it has a certain atmosphere that I love. I simply can't describe it.
We had a cocktail class flowed by dinner for a hens party.
The team work with me to tailor the event to suit our needs and went way over and above all my expectations. Staff were friendly and seemed to actually love what they’re doing. The cocktails were great and the food was so delicious.
I can’t rave enough about how good this place is. The night was so special because of this amazing venue and staff.
