Had an excellent experience with Before You Bid and was impressed with their prompt service. Considering Xmas holidays are approaching they have turned around the report in less than a day. Hats off to them.

Before You Bid are so easy to use. It was seamless getting the strata report and was sent though in a timely manner! Fantastic service!

Charged extra cost because of getting the property.
Hidden cost not mentioned clearly when I bough the strata report.
The main thing is they kept your card info and they can deduct any amount with out any notice.

The services provided by Before You Bid are criticial to any property buyer. Their reports are an essential part of our due dilligence before every transaction, and I highly recommend their professional and prompt customer service.

Concept is great but a very disappointing service - the service does not have an adequate processes in place to deal with strata buildings that also contain a Building Management Committee.

In my situation, the report did not give a full picture of the apartment being purchased. There was no disclosure at the time of purchase the report was limited just to the strata component of the apartment I am in and it would not include the Building Management Committee report, even though Before You Bid has access to this information prior to selling access to the report (as the report includes that information) that the apartment also has a Building Management Committee.

Before You Bid claims it is an edge case and they are just the middle man in the situation. It is something they want to improve in the future.

My expectation is Before You Bid would have more adequate messaging and disclosure for apartments that have a Building Management Committee. As I am sure in a lot of mixed-use apartment complexes - this Committee spends the bulk of the funds collected by strata and is arguably more important than the individual strata reports.

By the time I was aware of this limitation of the service - it was too late to even acquire a Building Management Committee report.

The customer service provided after the event wasn't helpful in resolving this critical issue.

Their website and system to order reports is quick and easy to use, and their team are very responsive and helpful, especially Suzana! Would highly recommend.

I would like to recommend Before You Bid and staff, particularly a lovely lady named Lisa who really went out of her way to help me with a problem with as associated company. She would not stop until I was satisfied. If you want a genuine company you can trust to help you, go to Before You Bid and I know you will be satisfied.

Before you bid is a huge benefit to agents, sellers and buyers. It's definitely a must have when you sell your home. Lisa Quealy was a huge help to me personally. Thanks for your amazing assistance Lisa.

Begore you bid are popular with agents. They do not look after the purchaser as BYB has pushed many agent to sign up with them and have a preferred inspector. This is for a reason! They will use the inspector that find almost no issues with a cheap report and the sale proceeds leaving the home owner high and dry.

Paid $250 for a strata report that I had to beg to get on time. Didn't proceed with purchase and got a random email a few weeks later saying $100 refund processed. No refund received, emails with them and they insist they've paid it and what do you know — weeks later, still no refund. If you at all can, definitely one to avoid.

Our real estate agent recommended Before You Bid to prepare Strata Report for the property we were selling. BYD were prompt & professional, preparing a thorough report which assisted us in the sale. Would certainly use again and would recommend to anyone else too.

As a Real Estate Sales professional i highly recommend using BYB to organise pre sale strata or pest & building reports. Arming purchasers with the right information allows them to transact quicker and efficiently. It really is a no brainer for any agent or vendor selling a home. Reports are unbiased third party & their distribution system is flawless and easy to use.

Disappointing. I found this company as technically proficient as others I have used but totally let down by disorganisation and indifferent customer service. Not recommended when there are others trying hard to earn your business.

3 stars since 3 months after moving in, I started getting SMS/text messages advertising other services which would help to "ensure the lights are on when you move in".

2 stars because I can't opt out of this advertising - the number doesn't accept reply messages or calls.

1 star because they keep using the word Movologist as if it exists and sounds cool! (Nah, just kidding, I don't really care about that - the 1 star came from the things above.)

Highly recommended. The before You Bid report saved the potential buyer time and expense in assessing the condition of the property. My inspector Leon Carnevale was very efficient and professional. Best advice from my real estate agent.

We bought our house site unseen due to Covid however the comprehensive in depth report done by Robert Graham was the comfort we needed. Without such a thoroughly professional report we may not have purchased. Thanks heaps Robert. We highly recommend before you bid to any prospective buyers.

I wish i read the reviews before i engaged this company! They are so unprofessional and do not care about their customers! Instead of resolving their customers concerns they just copy/paste template responses justifying their bad business practices: (

I highly recommend Before You Bid both as a seller, and a buyer. All charges were explained upfront. The reports that we ordered were comprehensive and invaluable. It really helped to make life easier at what was a emotional and stressful time!

Recently been making offers on houses and requesting building reports. All the other building inspectors were more than happy to have a chat on the phone regarding the reports, unfortunately Mr Andrew Chalkley did not have the time nor patience, and asked why I needed to speak to him as the report was available to read. The report might read pretty straight forward to someone with knowledge in building and construction, but as an average guy I think it's not too much to ask for him to spare 10,15 min on the phone with a client.
