Bang Bang Byron Bay

Believe the hype! When I got to Byron Bay, the first thing people told me was to book a meal at this place back in December when were staying in the area.

Unreal tasty food, great drinks and super friendly staff! If you’re reading this whist the pork belly dish is on the menu, please do yourself a favour and order this. One of the best meals I’ve had all over the globe.

I was too busy eating and talking to remember to take photos of the food! However, everything we ate was spectacular, and the cocktails were delicious and went down a little too easy! Some highlights were the sticky pork belly, salt and pepper calamari and massaman curry.

The atmosphere was bustling and full of life! The waiter was attentive but never felt like we were being rushed, which is often a tough juggle in a busy restaurant. Food came out quickly. On the more expensive side but worth the price tag, in my opinion. I would recommend booking during peak season.

Me and my boyfriend both agreed that our meals were some of the best we have had in our lives. Book ahead it’s amazing. I had the duck curry, my boyfriend had the Pork. Wow.

Amazing experience. Food, drinks and service were on point. Got the whole fried snapper which was cooked perfectly throughout. The sticky pork belly was to die for, crispy and sticky on the outside while melting in your mouth. Highly recommend their house barrel aged negroni to drink, which came out on liquid dry ice. This place is Lightyears on steroids.

Not well organized.food was alright but we waited like 1.5 hours.there are better and cheaper places to go in byron.

The food and friendly service were exceptional. This restaurant was a highlight for the trip. Great setting too. I look forward to returning and highly recommend the Massaman curry and butter chicken. The roti was really good. One of those rare restaurants where you want everything on the menu.

I am a returning customer for a few years now. Every time it is such a pleasure. The quality is constant, and Addo bring a level of customer service that I haven’t found anywhere else in Byron Bay. He goes above and beyond with his recommendations and attention to details. With drinks pairing as well as little pause in between plates.
The vibe is always pleasant with a dj playing great selection of music. Nice dim lights and candles.
A must when visiting town.

Fantastic food, but long wait times when it's busy which is understandable.

We had the larger banquet in a group setting and it was well worth the money.

We ate here Saturday 4th February 2023. Our meal was not just the best meal we had in Byron (and we did Lightyears which is exceptional) but it was one the very best meals we have ever had. I include in that NYC, Paris, London etc. I think Bang Bang is just astoundingly great; the ambience, drinks and certainly the service.
But mainly the food.
The pork belly, the beef rendang, the kingfish…everything.
It’s bloody hard to get into Bang Bang. But keep trying. It is one of our very best.

I recently dined at this Asian restaurant and was blown away by the flavors and quality of the food. From the succulent starters to the perfectly seasoned stir fry, every dish was a culinary masterpiece. The service was also top-notch, with friendly and attentive staff. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for authentic Asian cuisine. 5 stars!

Disappointed all round. Booked 2mths in advance, we were given the dark corner. Staff seemed disengaged & not interested, oysters/prawn toast were very nice, remaining food very ordinary… wouldn’t bother going back.

I had dinner with 2 friends last night and the food and customer service at bang bang were incredible! Great selection of vegetarian options, and amazing cocktails too!
The service was excellent, they took care of us at all times. I'll come back again for sure.

We had dinner there, and it was amazing! The burata was great, as was the noodles, tofu, rice and just about everything else!

Great spot in central Byron, excellent food and service. Try the coral trout in coconut broth. It's to die for.

Wow what a great dining experience! Our waiter Laroe was fantastic, offered superb suggestions and very attentive. We had the bang-quet and omg what a feast! Great food…. Great service…great fit out and atmosphere 10/10!

I went to bang bang to celebrate my friends birthday. We got our table 20 mins later from the time we reserved it. Then the waitress was pushing us to get the bang quet. Even if we wanted to order individual dishes, this really stressed the bday girl cause it's hard to decided when you have a large group. And then (cherry on top I got a massive stone in my food.
I NEVER write bad reviews but I really feel to write about this experience since this is one of the top places in Byron.
They gave me a free drink for the "stone situation" (I almost break my molar and I couldn't finish my food).
