We’re a building company who called AOL to arrange a site measure for outdoor blinds on a project we are finishing. Lady I spoke with insisted on all owners being present. I advised this is restrictive and not likely possible. She made it out like it was not negotiable. I assured her that we built the house and have authority to deal with contractors on the owners behalf. Wasn't good enough for her. Disappointing experience on first contact. Just reading some of the other reviews here, looks like we dodged a bullet. Phew!)

I had a rep come out to my place on the 02/07/2022 to quote me for new artificial turf in my backyard. The young lady that came out was on time and went through all the specifics. I was very transparent from the start when I stated this was going through my insurer and advised that I needed the quote emailed to me.

I have made about 7 phone calls in the last two weeks since she came out pretty much begging for the quote to be emailed to me. I have been advised on a number of occasions that someone will call me back or they will have the quote emailed to me. Still to this day nothing at all.

Looks like I will be looking for another company to come out and do the work. The hardest thing for me to digest is the complete lack of communication and poor customer service.

We recently installed the outdoor blinds and couple years back the artificial grass with AOL. Been happy with their service & the products from start to finish. Our family can enjoy spending time in our backyard all year round

Great job by Australian Outdoor Living in completing the synthetic grass installation on my front yard. They provided competitive pricing, regular updates on the installation timeframes though there were some delays due to continuous rain, installation was done on the promised date, also followed up with skip bin company who caused some delays in the bin removal. Overall, I’m really happy with the service provided, especially great job by Katherine from AOL production team.

The 1 star is for getting my deposit back.

Booked a job for artificial lawn and paid deposit in April. I had to regularly follow up to see when job would get booked in.

The quote was stuffed up and the sales team had to call me back to advise they under quoted.

I didn't know the final price and had to chase the sales team for the revised quote.

Then received an email to advise me job was delayed a further 10 weeks.

Since then I have gone with a better organisation, much more organised excellent customer service and would not recommend AOL.

Placed an enquiry highlighting the area and where we are looking at building an outdoor kitchen. To then be told, they will only come out if both you and your wife are home. I ask if my wife is inadequate to make a decision on behalf of our family as we've built many homes before to then be told that "if we're coming that far out, we will only come out if both of you are home".

Needless to say I won't be going ahead with even a quote from a company whom must be living in the 1980's where one person in the house is less valued than the other!

Must have far too much business and don't need the work, there are plenty who operate in a much more inclusive way and are only to happy to work in with working families.

Kitty called us to book an appointment for the new deck and pergola. She was adamant that during the appointment “all home owners” need to be present. I told her that it will be either my wife or myself but she kept insisting that it will have to be all home owners, otherwise they cannot book the appointment. I found this really weird. Whilst she wasn’t rude, she wasn’t polite either - I am glad we ended the conversation with AOL before even booking the appointment.

Have used this company for other projects at our house in the past (outdoor blinds) but was recently disappointed with an artificial turf project. Sales person did not explain that they would install the turf on a gradient for drainage reasons. This was only explained after installation when it became obvious. Gaps at the edges have have also been filled with sand which are ugly. Company response has been ambivalent on the technical issues and more focussed on collecting money. Beware that they take photos on certain angles before the project starts that they then use to argue with you

Had artificial turf laid. Good product and competitive pricing. The communication from the office was great and kept me informed from beginning to end.

Could not be happier with the whole experience of having our new deck installed. From the initial sales visit to final clean up these guys were amazing to deal with and the finished product is fantastic.

Bad experience in terms of the installation job, telling consumer prerequisites/pre-installation things to keep in mind and most worst part was dealing with them on phone. The lady is absolute nightmare to deal with and absolutely disrespectful in understanding consumers.

We recently had a visit and quote from Peter Lewis from Aust Outdoor Living he was so polite and professional we highly recommend Peter if you are considering top quality outdoor blinds, they are the best

We love our blinds. The patio is transformed and they give a look of elegance. Australian made was also important. Friendly and prompt service.

The quality is unbelievable I've used you guys 5 times it's an addiction I don't think I'll stop cheers

We had a great experience with AOL. We are very happy with our pergola and decking in our backyard. They did an amazing job.
We are definitely recomending AOL to our friends and family.

Extremely poor experience. The salesperson comes out does the measurement, quotes and pushes to sign the contract on the day as the stock is low (typical). 3 weeks later, calls to inform me that they made an error on the price and I have to pay about 50% more than the initial quote or they'll cancel the contract. I don't understand how it took 3 weeks to find such a critical mistake and very disappointing that the business does not own its mistake.

The team at AOL are knowledgeable, dedicated to their jobs and diligent in their work.

It was a pleasure to deal with everyone in the team. They were professional, yet friendly and took pride in the outcome of their work. I was extremely happy with their service and would highly recommend this company to anyone.

Very professional company to deal with. Excellent service and delivery. Slightly expensive though but the experience was great. Highly recommended.
