Jewel of India reviews
66 Chicken has not been cooked properly, all gravy dishes have same gravy even if it's prawn, chicken or vegetarian.
Very bad customer service.not even a smile on any employee face.
And the worst indian food taste I ever tasted in Australia.
I bought my Saturday night dinner from this Restaurant. I was so disappointed with the food. The meat Was old enough to stink even though the curry was smelling good. Such old meat is not only bad to sel but for health as well, it can be too bad. It was quite evident frim the meat as it had turned black. Worst experience ever! Waste of money!
Food is not worth the price. Can be considered as an average food. However the service is great.
Ordered food via Doordash and staff were happy to make adjustments. I really appreciate the special considerations and the most important part, the food was really yumm and I would say “Best Indian Food in Canberra”. It really made my day. Thanks again wholeheartedly to all staff for everything. Would highly recommend if you’re looking for true Indian flavours.
Jewel of India is a best Indian restaurant’s. They have a great variety of food as well as they listen what we want and they really fulfil the need of the customer. I am really happy with the taste, quality, customer service and everything. Specially if you’re looking for traditional Indian foods you can keep it as a great option. Absolutely delicious food.
Awesome food with great customer service. I would love to go again and again to this place. Best Restaurant in Canberra
Best Chicken Tikka ever. I love their Fish Mehti Masala. This place is fantastic for Home Delivery. It's lovely and casual for dine in too.
10/10. Absolutely amazing. The saag chicken is easily one of the best dishes I’ve ever had. I’ll be back.
Very friendly booking, meal was delicious and good value for money. Would highly recommend choosing these guys over the mediocre options on menulog/ubereats in Canberra. These guys seems to be most consistently the best
If you think it’s how Indian food tastes, you are wrong. It tastes way way wayyyy better than this. Their idea of biriyani is mixing rice with chicken curry. So disappointed! It’s certainly not a ‘jewel’.
Food and service were excellent. Decor needs to be refreshed. The Coke fridge near the entrance spoils the decor. The music volume needs to be reduced. Need to provide salad plates. All the best to the operators.
I am really very thankful to Jewel of India for tasty food. I ordered Biryani through uber last night. No one from uber came to deliver the food. Kaustuv from Jewel of India waited for some time. Since no uber driver picked the order he delivered it to my home. I am so thankful for the sincerity of kaustuv. And the food was really yummy. Thanks to Jewel of India.
Great food and service. But no air conditioning, made it very uncomfortable. They had A/C but opened the windows on a night with no air. Probably look for somewhere else for our next Indian which is a shame.
An enjoyable meal. Good service. Reasonable prices. BYO. A little difficult to find as it is on the first floor (not ground floor) of a small shopping mall.
The food is certainly great. Beef vindaloo as spicy as it should be. Paratas are made in house and certainly good.
Portions are a bit small to share though. Could have had a bigger pot for tea similar to some restaurants. Jamoons were perfect portion, Jamoons were served extremely hot instead of being warm. Once at the right temperature, the Jamoon was a great taste.
Customer service is good.just one suggestion, staff could avoid standing and chatting in front of customers.
Great ambience and lovely table setting.
Highly recommend this place. We had a large group, including small children and all were happily accommodated. The food was excellent, very tasty and we were all absolutely full at the end with leftovers to spare. The manager Shonan couldn't have been kinder or more helpful. Thanks again for making a birthday celebration special.
Really nice place to come here for a birthday or a small gathering. The atmosphere and vibe is super nice and comfortable. The staff are very friendly. The food is well-priced and tasty.
Are you serious? I paid $49 dollars for a small tub of curry and a small meal sized tub of biryani. Oh, $10 of which were for 2 pitiful sized servings of naan.
Do you attempt to extort Uber eats customers by providing just enough food to feed one person? Is it easier to take money from these clients because they’re not likely to complain as easily? No rice was even included with the curry. Value for money? Forget it. Quality of food was OK. Would not recommend.
A curry for $19 should have offered more generous sizing, if not more food, at least include rice.
I will not be buying again.
Nice ambience, good serving staff, and 8/10 food. The only thing which is not just limited to this restaurant is giving more priority to Uber Eats orders than the customers who are dining in. The wait between entrees and mains was more than 45 mins. Just because there were many Uber Eats pick ups which took more priority over diners.
Terrible service but great food. Took 90 minutes for entrees to arrive but they kept offering us more and more wine! Nearly 2 hours from ordering to get mains. Not a good experience.
