The wines are lovely. The mocktail we had was lovely. The location is amazing. The food today, probably the most disappointing restaurant meal we have ever had. The best dish was the heirloom tomato, which was under seasoned. Maybe just the day, but today's meals, were average to say the least.

I think Mr or Mrs Wise needs to refresh this place. We have just left there. Lunch was hit and miss. I was let down as the menu online differed from the one offered. It was only missing the rump steak, but I was really keen on this. But the gnocchi was very good. Not sure why you need to pair onions with fish.
The duck was a bit dry.
The croquettes, and the rillette was very good. The biscotti served with the creme brulee, was a bit like stale bread, not a biscuit. So it gave us an insight into what they can do. Service was very excellent. Our waiter dealt with a food allergy very well. I do feel sorry for restaurants now days. It seems everyone has some drama with eating.
The room was very hot. I feel the heat, but my family feel the cold and even they were disrobing as the 17 degree outside was a lot different to inside. The tired old windows and mechanisms that operates the barn windows look like they worked years ago. The wood work that you look through to view the stunning scenery is hampered by the lack of maintenance and old floppy canvas, impedes the natural beauty. I looked out the windows and saw old tables and mess. This is what i am used to seeing at less salubrious venues.
We paid $99.00 for the Wise Cab Sav. A nice bottle but the region does produce better wines for less. (Check out Snake and Herring Cab Sav) the Rosè was very good and the Sav Blanc was great as well.
Sorry to pick on Wise a bit, but in a area that's generally above expectations this was lacking.

I have visited Wise wines a few times. I would happily recommend a lot of their wines. It is set with stunning views so is well worth a visit. The food was slightly less impressive unfortunately. My friends and I ordered the Beef Fillet. We asked for it to be cooked medium rare, and the waiter slightly patronisingly told us that it only comes medium rare. It was then served medium-well done to all of us.

Tasted a few wines, love the pinot gris. Ordered the gnocchi and the duck dishes. Both were 1st rate. From 1 chef to another l say good job chef.

We popped in there for a late lunch yesterday, 4 adults and 4 kids. The food was good but we have never seen such small kids serves. All of the children complained about still being hungry after their meals so we had to order bread to tide them over.

It was fully booked out but the staff was very accommodating and fitted us in the open area with an amazing view. The friendly staff was excellent and made great food and drink suggestions. Gin tasting was also on the agenda after the very delightful lunch. We will definitely be back again.

I got to say for this type of establishment you would expect 5 star food, not this time. We love seafood and we ordered panko prawns and octopus and our prawns were super deep fried and the octopus was uncooked! It was disappointing even though they took one of the meals off the bill. Staff were great, view was great but the seafood was another story. I couldn’t recommend it.

Beautiful setting, lovely wines, disappointing food. $42 for seafood Tagliatelle was an overpriced shocker. Pasta was overcooked, maybe reheated as it was stuck together, sauce was lacking in flavour, and it was topped with three mussels, two small strips of cuttlefish, and a miniscule (approx 3cm square) piece of white fish. My companions had steak which was cooked well, but shoestring chips could have come from a burger shop, and that wad $52 each. We will be back for wine, but recommend elsewhere for food.

We enjoyed breakfast here last weekend, and my gosh what a view you take in from where the winery is located.

The corn & zucchini fritters is probably one of the best breakfast dishes I’ve had in a long time! The coffee was exceptional also. Highly recommend and will be back again

Amazing views and really friendly staff! The house made focaccia and confit duck are a must try! A little disappointed with the prawn tagliatelle but great selection of wines. Definitely worth a visit!

We had a booking for wine tasting, but had to wait 20 mins when got there, which is not that bad except they were quite ungracious about it. When we did get squeezed in there were not enough stools, when we asked for more the guy just shrugged then pointed to the back of the room and said there is one over there you can grab for yourself (and we needed 3). Eventually another staff member found us some, when we asked again.
It was 20 mins between each tasting, Each time he bothered to come back to our group he asked if we would like to taste some wine.ummm yes that's what we were there for! He did not explain any of the wines. We gave up after 4 tastings as it was taking so long and the service was terrible. We went to many wineries in the region and this was the only one with such poor service. I hope they were just having a bad day as it was a beautiful place.

FUN! Great atmos, banter, laughs, ocean views and delicious Wines, Pisco & Gin. You won’t regret a visit if you’re looking for casual, non-pretentious and easy going winery! We went back two days in a row. Thanks for the fun times! John, Denys & Greg are legends. PS try the Nessco Sour

BREAKFAST.
They ran out of bread so our eggs on toast breakfast meals had to have 2 pieces of a 1/3 toast per plate. Extra Avocado for 5$ which you would think is normal until you see that you only getting 1/4 of a tiny avo! Of course no discount for less food on the plate.
Then after all that they come and ask you if you liked your breakfast. I took the vow of silence to that question

WINE TASTING
quite good.

Fantastic place to visit and eat. Wine is Devine. Service was extremely good. We ordered a dozen bottles but had a little issue with 2 incorrect bottles delivered. A quick email explaining the issue was promptly corrected with the correct 2 bottles delivered. We'll be ordering again.

Booo to paying for tastings! I find at least one bottle of wine to buy in 9 out of 10 wineries I visit. I don’t really like the idea of paying for tastings up front. I get it’s something for free, especially if you don’t end up buying, but that’s what makes trips to Margie’s so special. The service can also be a bit snooty, however the views here are spectacular.

We loved the venue. Didn’t have food here, just wine tasting but the service was very friendly and we liked the wine.
