Wise Wine

We have done the gin and wine tasting twice now, always a great time and leave with multiple bottles. This time we were helped by the lovely German lady (gutted we didn’t get her name) and she absolutely made our day. Keep her at all costs! Such a nice place.

I recently visited Wise for a stop of a group wine tour and was beyond impressed. Wise was very accomodating to our group, and the location and venue itself was beautiful. The stand out of our visit was the gin tasting led by John who was fun, friendly and very knowledgable on all things wine and gin. Thank you John and Wise for a very memorable day!

Wow wow wow. One of the best meals we have had for a while. Some great wines, the staff were brilliant, the setting/views were fantastic. We have been living down here for 2 years, been coming down since the mid 90s and this was our first visit, can’t believe we haven’t been here before.

Awesome time here! Easy parking, dog friendly. The staff were top shelf customer service, food was good with the truffle on the side. Recommend if your in the area!

If you are one of the many travellers happily seeking in the Margaret River Region the best cellar-door and restaurant-in-a-vineyard dining experience, then here is a time saving hint for you … drive to Wise Wineries for their total 360-degree winery/dining experience and make this your benchmark standard … I doubt that you will subsequently find better.
I know, from fortuitous circumstance when just embarked in Yallingup on such a voyage of discovery. At the outset of our pilgrimage, we were invited for a long overdue reunion at Wise Wines at the invitation of dear friends in the know; then came quickly back, within days, for a much-longed for but oft-delayed birthday celebration now to be made perfect at Wise Wines; only to return within a week, as if now addicted, simply because we had not found anywhere we’d rather be for delicious steak and frites with a glass of sumptuous red.
The Margaret River Region is full of such opportunity, however only one, Wise Winery, to my new-found knowledge, comes with the fundamentals of wonderful wines enjoyed as part of a delicious dining experience: which, in their case, is catered by staff likely to be your new-found friend (s) within moments of saying hello, from a table-top panoramic view across their hectares of prolific vines toward the rolling deep of the nearby Indian Ocean. A view that is uniquely theirs atop Cape Naturaliste: making it the best of all worlds at a necessarily sublime moment in your time.

Rating is for lunch: sadly a 3/5

Food was hit and miss. Partner asked for his steak medium-rare but it was served very medium. Sadly quite chewy and tough. We wondered if it might have been confused with the order at the table next to ours (who we heard order a medium steak after us, but got their order before us) but couldn’t find anyone to speak to so just ate it (hungry!). The truffle potatoes were also a tad overwhelming and gloopy. Golden snapper was cooked well and yummy!

Service was quite avoidant and slow, but friendly when they did appear. They offered to get us dessert menus happily but then the same person was found chilling out inside when we gave up on waiting and went to pay instead. And it was quite difficult to try and get some tap water.

Really wanted to like it because it came recommended by a friend and the views are 11/10! Unfortunately did not meet expectations.

Exquisite moment out of time!

First wow moment is certainly driven by the view but it was closely followed by a amazing property with an impressive deck, and a delightful terrace in the shadow of chestnut tree …

If you had the chance to stop here for lunch, you would enjoy a really delicious cuisine including great treats like the crème brûlée I took.

Add to that a next level staff - literally knowing your dog by it’s name when offering her a treat?

… well I would almost forget to tell you the most important, the wines are amazing even for my picky French palet

Lovely spot overlooking the ocean and vineyard. We had their fancy Chardonnay which was lovely. The beef cheeks were pure comfort food on a rainy day.

Had lunch here. The food is amazing and there is no disappointment in our party. Highly recommended.

We had an amazing experience here and were lucky enough to have the very lovely Cath to go through the tastings with us. She is amazing, funny and extremely knowledgeable. The gins are
delicious and our kids loved the wines. We will be back.

We experienced great service and wonderful food. Couldn't fault the seafood chowder, it was velvety and complex but light and so delicious. The lamb was melt in your mouth amazing and my son enjoyed his generous serve of kid's fish and chips. The shiraz gin was so yummy we went back for a second as our dessert. Yum!

Absolutely love this place. The views, the gin, the wine, the food, the staff, could not fault a thing. Took my mum here for lunch for her birthday and they even put a candle in mums dessert for her? They are all so friendly and the whole atmosphere is just so relaxing and beautiful. Thank you!

The restaurant grounds are just delightful. Perfect for photos and just surreal to look out to whilst having lunch.

The waiter was not very engaging or friendly but was efficient.

The food was fabulous and the gnocchi was perfect!

We had a spirits tasting session and we're warmly greeted and sat down on the tasting table. We tried their Outback Gin, Shiraz Wine Gin, Pink Gin, Mandarin Liqueur and Cafe Pisco Liqueur.

Enjoyed the Outback Gin very much. Apparently it's a result of trial from combination of a few WA native plants. Wonderful floral notes and smooth to the palette.

We had the most friendly service here and the mains and wines were just delicious. In addition, the views were so breathtaking, they really takes you into another world. The only star deduction was for the dessert menu and not letting us sit closer to such beautiful views when there were so many free tables ahead of us.

My mum and I went along for lunch and it was absolutely perfect. Superb food! We had mains and desert and everything was spot on. The honey crème brûlée was a standout! As always stunning views and atmosphere. The wait staff were so friendly - really great service. Highly recommend to anyone - there is nothing like Wise in the South West it’s truly special.

An impressive venue with a combined food and drink experience. There is also a distillery here producing Gin! The spirit is produced from the wine and infused with locally sourced botanicals. $10 gets you 4 x spirit samples and you can take your favorite home in 700 mL bottles. John explained the whole process and the origin of the ingredients and left no questions unanswered. Highly recommend for a visit.

Couldn’t recommend this place more. Amazing gin and even better wine, amazing service by the veteran John. He is as good as it gets in hospitality. Incredible staff culture that is so visible.
