West End Deli reviews
62The Manager is fantastic bloke, always friendly and polite, took the time to learn my name. The coffee served is fantastic and the food I have had there has always been of great standard and tastes great.
I did the high tea today with 3 friends.
The food was really tasty with lots of savoury options. I found it good value and would recommend to others.
Awesome, thanks Mickael and team - highly recommend. Great drinks, great food, great vibe, great hospitality
5 star if I had to base it purely on taste. Unfortunately I was rather disappointed with portions size of the egg benedict.
Lovely experience visiting for High Tea. We've tried high tea in various locations around Perth & it wasn't the most amazing we have eaten - the overall experience with wonderful customer service and attentive staff makes it a place we will be visiting again & again.
Amazing food and great atmosphere. Staff couldn’t be more helpful and thoroughly enjoyed our bottomless brunch. That’s heaps to the friendly staff for an experience that I will not forget for a long time.
Over the years this has been a pretty busy place. Service is hit and miss, today they seemed disinterested in providing table service for example.
Food ranges from sublime down to mediocre at best. The pancakes I had for brunch today had amazing ingredients, would have been lovely served hot, or warm even. As it was, they were cold by the time they got to my table.
On the other hand, the toasted banana bread was lovely.
This isn't an isolated incident, it's been happening for years. Every so often I come back to see if anything has changed.
Not this time, unfortunately. I really want to like this place, but perhaps next time.
Concrete floors cause the sound levels to be high, street parking is often limited, pricing is in my opinion a tad steep for the experience.
Check it out, but perhaps not for an important occasion.
Staff are very friendly and go above and beyond to create a returning-customer experience. The French Barista is particularly special.
Four of us went there for High Tea on Sunday 27th June @ 2pm. We new when we walked in it would be good as the place was buzz and packed out, thank goodness we had a booking. The Service, the staff, the food, the ambience was all superb and yes we will be going again. I personally came up from Waikiki (near Rockingham) as I had heard this was a very nice place to eat, and what I had heard was right. Try it, you will not be disappointed

Fabulous location, service, coffee.and fresh juice! Personally would have liked a few more 'lighter' options, was intending to try the Mushroom tagine but it was off the menu, my Halloumi Salad was pretty delightful tho! Shall return.
This was a difficult one to review. Overall I'd give it 2 stars, but the coffee was 5/5 so rather than bring down their average rating let's just say 5 stars if you're getting a takeaway coffee.
5/5 coffee - among one of the best coffees in Perth
3/5 chocolate danish - it was a bit stale, not fresh and flakey as you would expect
3/5 mushroom soup - Get this if you're craving a French onion soup, but it didn't taste like mushroom soup and was quite acidic
1/5 chilli crab linguine - Linguine was perfectly cooked, but the flavours were unbalanced with the overwhelming flavour being a very sour tomato paste that overpowered everything. Disappointing at $29.3/5 service - staff were quite friendly when you managed to catch one, but seemed confused and disorganised and our experience wasn't good overall
2/5 bathrooms - obvious effort has gone into decorating the bathrooms and they could be so nice, but the lighting was so dim it was almost pitch dark. Toilet seat has not been properly installed so the rim is exposed. Additional rolls are located in a separate "room" so are out of reach when you need them. Finally, to reach the bathroom you need to squeeze through a rather small gap between two large tables of other customers, which isn't pleasant for anyone.
Overall I wouldn't dine here for brunch again, but would pick up a takeaway coffee if we're in the area.
Other tables seemed to greatly enjoy their high tea towers so that might be worth a go!
Amazing High Tea!
The service was quick, the food was delicious. The high tea portion was big enough to leave everyone full. The pictured platter is shared between two.
Parking is easy in this location, plenty of street parking is available.
Enjoyed High Tea today, great coffee and friendly staff. The savouries were the highlight all had great flavours, loved them all. The Scones were flat and a bit hard today not at all like the picture (bit like when I try to make them, a fail) the house made Berry Jam was nice. We only had one Rose water meringues, rose water cream on the stand between the two of us not sure if there was supposed to be two, was a bit hard to share off one plate as the cream had melted, had a great flavour. The Coconut chia pudding, banana berry frozen yoghurt was interesting the Berry added a nice a bit of sweetness. The Brownie was tasty maybe a little dryer than it should have been, could have been slightly bigger, Overall it was very good high tea for savoury lovers maybe a little more refining for the sweets with one perhaps providing a good sugar blast for the sweet lovers Would definitely recommend and return myself.
Nice lemon lime and bitters but the crab linguine was very over priced and an entree size for a $28 main
Awesome experience. I was there this morning (the 7th of feb at about 9.30 ish) for brekkie and coffee. The coffee was fantastic, and the service was great too. Props to barristas, wait staff and the chef!
Used to be one of our favorites but last two times it's been quite disappointing. 40 minute wait for food for two people. Food was okay but not worth the wait.
Lovely breakfast with family and friends this morning after 5 days lockdown at west end!
Probably the best egg Benedict in town, great coffee and friendly service.
Always good to have easy free parking in front of caffe.
Definitely our favourite family weekend casual place in Leederville.
I came back here after a long time, and everything is changed. It used to be one of my family's favourite cafes, but all the classic dishes that made it special are gone as it's under new management. I ordered poached eggs on ciabatta, the eggs were lovely but the 2 small pieces of ciabatta were burnt and too hard to eat. Probably won't be returning as all the special dishes which I've never seen at any other cafe are gone.
On the positive side, the service is still good and the coffee is still really nice.
Wow! What a perfect find! Tucked on the corner of the no where particularly prominent, the food and service here was outstanding. The bread is baked fresh in house and on a nice day you can sit outside. If it's not peak time, it isn't too noisy on the road. The inside was also beautifully designed
Awesome service, great food and amazing coffee, def recommend chicken waffle, full of flavor, fresh chilli great addition to the dish.
