Very happy with the training and care our dog received during her 5 week stay here. The trainers tackled a lot of her behavioural issues and she is so much more obedient and calm since her time there. All trainers we dealt with at our follow up lessons were more than helpful and informative and have really changed our life with our dog for the better. Thank you

Service has visible and invisible aspects. When the visible service has very low quality, how we can trust the invisible side. The reception was not friendly. I contacted them through facebook and asked them to share photos of my dog. Even they shared some posts after my request but replied my message one day later and said we will share but never shared. Highest price in the WA market and lowest quality.

Offers a good range of extras such as walks/playtime. Nice feedback on your pets stay when you pick them up.

West coast provided a very personal experience for our young husky x GSD girl when we needed a board and dog training. They built a good repore with her and Monique the trainer was fantastic as she worked her through various drills and de-sensitising to certain situations. She came back a much calmer dog which we are very grateful for. The photos added each week of our girl training was a nice touch while we were away.

Excellent facilities, dog training a must and recomment. Took my blue english staffy there for puppy trainjng and then dog training, the best money spent, and she is so good and obedient.

Dog got sick. Didn't get walked like we paid for. Dog was weird for days. Im sure he was carried for but not to the level I expected my boy to get.

Questionable training methods that were not disclosed.
My parents recently booked in their dog for a 2 weeks stay while they were away and requested additional training. They discussed what behaviours to focus on and were informed on the type of treats that would be used during training for positive reinforcement. At no stage were they informed of the other methods later discovered upon collecting their dog, which was highly stressed and exhausted. My parents were informed that their dog was only responding to treats and the trainers wanted to discourage the use. To do this they used a metal pronged collar and loop lead, which both cause pain and discomfort to the dog due to the pinching and constriction of the neck. No dog should be forced to do things under the duress of pain and fear and I find it extremely unprofessional that they were not transparent about these methods.

Attended 4 week puppy class with pup however whilst there for help, on week 3 he was referred to as behaving like a “spastic”. Never went back. Pretty poor in this day and age that such ignorance is still around. Wonder how that trainer would feel, if they had a special needs family member.

My dog recently stayed at the facility for 5 days and when my partner picked her up she seemed happy and well looked after. Would have loved to have some updates and photos of her sent to me though during her stay. Although I really appreciated the dog pickup and drop off from my local vet around the corner- made things a lot easier! The price was reasonable too.

My two dog's have just spent 3 week's at the kennel's + my Bull Terrier had training. A new dog emerged I can't believe the difference. Will definitely send my dog's again.

I've done the 5 week board and train as well as just boarding and my dog has never been treated better. All the staff are knowledgeable, friendly and take the utmost care. I will always recommend this place to anyone who wants to help their dog get better skills and manners.

I can't recommend West Coast Pet Care for dog training services highly enough. Trainer was sincerely good, hardworking and passionate about dogs.

My dogs have always loved going to stay at west coast. Really impressed by the level of care and kindness. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this place. And it’s so clean. Even the cat likes going there.
