Vines Cafe And Bar

Very, very disappointing lunch. Four of us ordered two seafood platters. The squid was tough, the Fremantle octopus was tough, the prawns were the best bit but more batter than prawn, the fish was in a thick not fully cooked batter and was extremely dry and not edibke. The platter came with a whole load of smoked salmon, that was just way too much. The chips were good
For $55 each we were totally ripped off.
It is such a shame as we recently moved into ot the area and thought it would a good local spot but we will be finding another local!
Must say the waiter we had was very good but the one that cleared the table didnt even think to ask why there was so much food left! We definitely won't be returning

Sunday special was good though slightly undercooked in the middle (not good for chicken). Outdoor furniture was not cleaned down after previous diners! But overall goog.

Had late lunch on a Thursday and order chicken burger. The burger was huge and satisfying very yummy, the edge was burnt and bitter, I cut them off. Went there the day before too and notice their menu is always wet. How come? I saw a cashier placed a glass of beer spilling out on the menu, hence wet-and-smell-of-bear menu. Yuk.

Unfortunately not a good experience for our first visit here. Ordered food at 12: 35. At 13: 15 we still did not have our food and others who ordered after us were being served their food. Asked where ours was, informed it was next. Other meals came out, not ours. The lovely young male waiter then informed us there was a problem sourcing one of the ingredients for the seafood linguine? ! Why were we not told this earlier? Food arrived at 13: 27 Barramundi was nice. However, linguine was very disappointing. On a positive note very friendly staff

Waiting for our food as we speak. Its been over 50 mins. Can't comment on the food as it hasn't arrived yet.

New Years 2022 in The Vines was nothing but a dissapoitment for our family of 4. It was our first time at the Vines venue and we won't be returning!
Just Giving it a 1star because it won't let me post!

The event was 2.5h long but the wait I the queue was 30min - only one person at the check in point.

I don't mind paying $50 for an adult and $35 for a 5-12yo if the food is nice and there is a fruit or some kind of dessert and as I was told when booking soft drinks included- unfortunately non of that happened there wasn't even soft drink for kids or adults included.

I called the Vines on the day of the event before we went there double checking dietary requirements and if soft drinks are included in price and I was told YES THEY ARE but when we got there we were told we need to pay for everything separately.

In quick points what you get for $50adult and $35 for 5-12yo price:
-Entry
-Rice and curry
-Green Salad
-Nice view

There wasn't drinks or desserts NOT even for kids.
You needed to pay $4.50 for soft drink and $5 for an ice cream on top of your $50 or $35.

My son can't have dairy and there was a slushy machine in the background of the Bar that my husband wanted to buy for him but the bartender lady said "NO! BECAUSE IF I GIVE TO ONE THEN ALL THE KIDS WILL WANT ONE" - it's a New Year celebration let them have one anyway - so my 8yo son who I payed for $35 had curry with rice for dinner and a juice that I payed for on top of it because nothing else was available.

At 8.29 the DJ called all of the kids to the dance floor for the count down and this was the worst experience eveeeeer!
He pretty much counted down from 10-1 shut down his DJ station and was just standing there waiting for everyone to leave.
We all were expecting a last song or some kind of celebration music at the end but it was all shut down including the disco lights.

Kids and adults were standing in the middle of the dance floor looking at each other in confusion- very unpleasant to experience.

Then we all had to pack up and leave the venue with a very sour after-taste.

It was a superhero dress up party and the best dressed was meant to win a prize. Nothing was announced and no one got a prize.

What a rip off!

Very relaxing place for a pint and a bite to eat. Well staffed who were very helpful and friendly.

Really Over price, low quality food, I hope you will fix your price and food quality in the future because you have beautiful location

Beautiful family place. Gym, mini golf course, swimming pool, bar and restaurant, live music, lots of parking etc. Nice place to visit. Above all staff was amazing, good customer service, well mannered staff. Unfortunately the food, we ordered a combo tasting plate was very deep fried and fatty. Very ordinary they need to improve in cafe. Maybe muscats is the go.

This place is amazing exceptional service outstanding food I will recommend them to everyone

The Cafe food was disappointing, My daughters chicken was pink and when we queried it and took it back. We were told it was fine. The waitress brought it back still pink, put my 12 year old on the spot and asked her to taste test it while hovering over her. My friends liguinis prawns were over cooked and not fresh, my other friends vegetarian mealspumpkin was undercooked. An average experience.

Came here for easter it's a nice place, service was good food was tasty but average, good menu.

Lovely location and atmosphere but the food was a little disappointing especially the share platters they need some work especially for the price. Overall the drinks and company were good so we had a good day there especially if you are a big group with children.

Enjoyed a good time today. Massive improvement on what was previously offered.

Great new menu. Good food and good value. Fish and Chips, delicious. Pork was cooked really well and allround tasty plate of food. Recommend you give it a try. Much improved from previous menu and chef.

It's such a lovely green place. We went during the week so was quite but what we saw we liked. Lovely outdoor area, has a small playground too as part of the cafe. The food was YAM (had chicken stuffed with sun dried tomatos) we will be back for sure. Also staff was friendly.

Booked a Christmas Lunch for 16 people here, confirmed they were open for Christmas and call a couple of times to secure numbers. When we rocked up to the BAR they denied serving any alcohol as it was reserved for Hotel guests only on Christmas day! We were outraged! The staff never informed me of this when booking as I would have definalty not booked our Christmas lunch here! The staff never even compensated our table at all for this huge inconvenience. There was no where else to go on Xmas day so we had our lunch, which was also very average and the chips were overcooked and stale! Management clearly don't care about their customers as this restaurant was a disgrace!

Very friendly and polite staff, reasonable prices for a resort. Had a chicken burger. There could be a little improvement on the burger as it was all chicken on one side but nothing on the other. Chips and garlic aioli was absolutely beautiful.

I went there yesterday, Sunday afternoon noon, I ordered a coffee. They had one person taking orders and serving. Approx 10 people in the line. Four other people behind the counter, not sure what they where doing. Waited 32 mins asked where my coffee was and the lady went off to check. Never came back. Waited another 18 mins then went to the counter and asked for my money back. Wont be returning.
