Vasse Felix reviews
81Beautiful winery. Can only comment on the cellar door but service and knowledge was outstanding, informative and their attention to detail was inspiring.
The food was incredible amazing, from the kangaroo, beef and fish. Everything done very well. The wine collection was nice as well.
Superb lunch with family and friends at Vasse Felix. Welcomed at the door, passed on the wine tasting and headed up stairs to the restaurant. Fabulous views over the vines and countryside. Watched a heron fishing for his lunch in the nearby brook. Chose the a la carte menu and while it's not huge in choice all the dishes served were delicious. Wishing we could lick the plates. Between us we covered entree, main, dessert and cheese board and not one complaint. Excellent choice of wines too. Service was friendly and not too in your face. Will definitely be back. Only drawback is there's no lift, stairs only.
The best wine tasting experience in Margaret River! Special shout-out to Evan who was so friendly, knowledgeable and welcoming. He talked us through Vasse Felix’s amazing wines, starting with sparkling, on to white and finally the reds. The idee fixe sparkling and Cabernet Sauvignon are must tastes! Thanks once again!
Excellent food with spectacular views, attentive and friendly service. Expensive and a bit out of the way, but worth the visit.
What an outstanding place to dine. Vasse Felix is a beautiful property. The food is exceptional and truely world class. Chef Brendan is a master of creating flavours which are fine, delicate, smooth, beautifully intergrated and some are elegalantly intense. Please don't eat quickly, savour every mouthfull, it's worth it. All the staff are great. They are professional yet relaxed, friendly and are attentive when you need them to be.
We have been many times, sometimes just for a entree and a glass of wine and sometimes for something more. The degustation is worth doing of you're hungry.
The dining experience is consistanly very good, despite the tough times the hospitality is going through.
Thanks for spoiling us.
Disappointing. Were looking forward to visiting and doing a wine tasting. Checked in by writing in the tracing book.
Were advised by nale staff member of restaurant, wine tasting, wine and nibbles. He asked where we had traveled from and if we flew direct. He then said ok well the restaurant is fully booked. So we decided to buy some wine and leave. While decing on our wine the next group were offered restaurant facilities, and were NOT booked.
We were discriminated against. This happened Saturday 26th June 2021 well before the temporary bubble closure.
Shame on you Vasse Felix.
We are actually here visiting family who are local business owners.
Where good service meets good wine. Never a disappointing experience at Vasse Felix. Be sure to try the Cane Cut sweet wine as well as the Tom Cullity
Wine tasting with Sadie was amazing. Her knowledge and humour were amazing. She said she hasn't been there to long but she was phenomenal. The restraunt and meals were amazing. Everything was on point
Staff were lovely and found a table for us even though we had not booked. Food was amazing and well priced! So good I didn't even stop to think of taking a photo!
Great location and grounds. Good service and quality of food and wine.
Big black mark for lack of amenity for disabled patrons. In 2021 not good enough!
Visited here yesterday. Lots of staff working but seemed more interested in polishing glasses and chatting to each other. Waiting over 5 minutes between tastings so walked out. Pretentious
Stunning location + food & wine as good and possibly better than anywhere in the world.
Can't wait to revisit.

Booked in for a tour and tasting for my parents who were visiting West Australia and travelling around the Margaret River region. The whole experience received at Vasse Felix was incredible and they really put a huge amount of effort into everything they do. We were looked after by Evan and he was extremely knowledgeable about the wine, the production, the history and the area itself. He was very thorough in explaining everything and made the day very special. I would highly highly recommend a visit to Vasse Felix and doing a tasting/tour as I can't imagine receiving the same level of treatment at another vineyard. We also ate upstairs and the food was top class.try it for yourself! Special mentions to Tim and Chef Brendan for their time too
Beautiful property and nice wine. But unfortunately very snobbish place. Just wanted to enjoy a nice glass of wine and were frowned upon by a) being walk-ins (even though there was plenty of space) and b) not wanting to eat more than a starter. Felt very uncomfortable. Guess we'll leave our money elsewhere in the future.
Very nice winery!
Clean & well-maintained location! The wine tasting was $10 at the time of our visit and extra $ for some of their best wines. The staff was very friendly!
Tastings were well portioned and the worker that served us was quite knowledgeable and she made our visit more enjoyable.
We arrived for the Original Tour and were greeted by our friendly, bubbly and knowledgeable guide Eva. The tour was fantastic, we got to see and learn the finite details of wine making and it truly made the tasting at the end a much more personal experience knowing the effort taken to produce it. Eva was able to answer every question we had with excellent detail and she made the tour a great experience! The Chardonnay and Tom Cullity wine are perfection.
Very welcoming and good service.offers tours of their cellar.wines are highly priced.but this is the oldest winery in SW australia. The specialty is clearly the Cabernet
One of the biggest and nicest Vineyards. Fancy and quiet pricey, but absolutely worth it to eat the amazing food with this view! The kangaroo is recommended!
This place is the premier winery of the region, and the equal of the best that Napa Valley has to offer. Outstanding wines, excellent views, a world class restaurant and a piece of Margaret River history. Make this a central part of your visit to this beautiful part of the world!
