Varsity Nedlands

Really enjoyed, we went in not busy time so we could enjoy a varsity lager with double cheese deluxe burger and a superbowl, there was no dressing in the salad but still good. After some exercise we refuel energy in the best way possible. We will go back someday. Customer service was good. Thank you!

Went to watch the footy as they had 20 odd screens. Called up first. They put our game on the smallest screen despite nobody watching anything except us. Wouldn't play the sound until last 6 minutes of the game. Ended up being 20 people watching the same game and nobody watching the other games. Cheese burger was ok. Pretty pricey for its size was nice though. Has pool tables which is good.

Waiter was not friendly at all, I had been waiting for 30 mins and didn’t even get a “sorry”. Food was okay.

I feel like I go here way to often, but like if foods good then it sort of warrants it.
As a uni student you can't go wrong with the 10 dollar student special.

Great food, good pricing for the burgers. The house cider is perfect. And i would recommend the soul burger with the addition of tobacco onions.

Good, delicious food. Large portions. Decent pricing. Good Sports atmosphere.

Other a burger, and as beer, get a jug and watch the game on the TVs around the place. Stay for another and eat some more.

Two-star for the BBQ pizza. This place serves good stuff, but yesterday, the pizza was exceptionally eccentric; it looked like it had a bath in BBQ sauce, and the dough was so chewy. It was a whole commutative of my 32 teeth to bite and chew that piece of chewing gum. Stay away from their BBQ pizza.

Great menu and enormous door portions, beer is expensive outside of happy hour, good atmosphere and lots of TVs for sports. Young and friendly crowd. Knocking off a star for the price of a pint.

Me and a mate got a little lost trying to find this joint for takeaway, but thankfully the staff was kind and didn't mind the extreme lateness of our arrival. Varsity's burgers were worth the wait.:)

UPDATE (10/05/2020) : Varsity messed up my order when I ordered via UberEATS. I specifically requested 2x burgers BOTH WITH GLUTEN FREE BUNS, and they only sent one with the other with the normal bun. This is not their first time making an order stuff up. The previous time when I ordered they put a chip in the centre, knowing its not gluten free. I discarded it immediately, but this time round was a massive stuff up.

Sooo.very disappointed by Varsity Bar Nedlands, my first time going to it I was so let down that I left empty handed. I took the attached photo this Sunday at Varsity Bar Nedlands with the plan of stopping in for a feed while moving house. When I arrived (the first Wednesday since photo was taken) they had changed the sign to say after 5pm only (time was 4: 04pm) and even though I showed them this photo, explained my situation to a manager, and informed them that the sign was up after the last Wednesday and no other Wednesdays had passed since taking the photo, I was still told no. This is supposed to be an “American” restaurant and with that they should probably provide half decent service especially when I’m not to blame for when they change their signs. Hope there’s some retraining of stuff soon.

Burgers are always a 10/10, never had a bad one in 4 years. Shout out Claire for having excellent customer service

Oh, Varsity, such a good feed. Burgers are always well cooked and full fo flavour, beers are reasonably priced. Great spot.

Have done the Superbowl here the last couple years. Not a bad experience but the place fills up quickly and lining up starts very early. Good beers and great burgers that I have ordered through Uber regularly. Very accommodating of the United crowd. Though word to the wise I cannot advise enough to avoid the devil hot wings, those things will mess up your day and almost certainly make your hole weak.

Varsity is always a winner! They have delicious salad options on the menu if you don't feel like their heavy but delicious American style burgers. I was a fan of the pickled spring onions and two types of beetroot. Great atmosphere as well with friendly staff.

Meals are huge, don't worry about ordering sides! If two people are going the typical meal can feed two. Considering the size of the meals i think the prices are pretty good. An easily accessible pub with a food focus. A good spot for lunch.

Been great with food. But they made a mistake through an order but told me to deal with it with uber.

Staff basically told me to piss off and deal with it myself.

Burger just didn't taste the same anymore.

I guess customer service is everything. Sadly they lack on that.

A more popular and atmospheric college bar than the one on campus. No small feat considering how lazy students can be

Nice and cosy little bar close to UWA, definitely a very nice place where to go after a day of studying! Cheap prices and nice staff
