Love the new Valley Social (formally Elmars) staff are friendly and food was great. We’ll definitely be back.
If you can, make the time to go, we had the special mushroom pizza, cauliflower and buttermilk chicken and shared it.

I don't usually put in reviews for restaurants but my friend tonight told me that the reviews were average. Anyway, we tried the food and it was wholesomely delicious. Our favorites were the nachos, fried butter chicken and chicken snitzel. There was a generous amount in every dish, so it was also great value. The waitstaff were very friendly and it was a nice place to relax and enjoy the food and company. Overall, this place is underrated and so I decided to put in a good review.

Ordered pork ribs twice cooked. Took over an hour to arrive. Chips were cold and under cooked, pork ribs also cold.

Took to counter, guy with pony tail served me. Explained the issue. TOUCHED my food to check heat, I asked for re-fire, he agreed. I asked if they were going to microwave it. He said no.

Came out 5 min later, fresh hot chips but same meat that he touched. Unacceptable behaviour that any venue should know about.

Other issues,

No management of their ordering system. It’s a free for all. All this waiting staff that can’t take your order and work with the kitchen to get food out on time. No delayed ordering just walk up to counter and have a crack. Absolutely hilarious for a venue this size with the staff onsite.

Several meals served 30-40min before others on our tables, plates were cleared before others were served. Again unacceptable.

Several meals on our table were cold.

Caesar salad was dry and chicken overcooked.

Whoever manages this has lied on their resume.

I was given a free pint for my troubles and a cash refund on my meal (definitely not standard procedure for a payment made on card). Food was given back

Overall the name change doesn’t seem to have made a difference management wise. Similar issues on previous visits.

Finally had enough for what should be a perfect wining/dining experience.

Would not recommend valley social based off of their conduct and service standards. Plenty of other great places on west swan road to take your business.

What a shame for a beautiful place in the middle of the swan valley. A waste of a money as well as your time to eat here. Save yourself and go somewhere else. Food below average. Just disappointing to spend money on food that is below average. And when there’s food left on my families plates, that is a huge sign.

Had some of the best cocktails and staff very accommodating for cocktail that aren't on menu, had an awesome mocktail that was on menu definitely the place in the valley if you're after amazing cocktails

We arrived at 12: 30 for lunch, we didnt get our food until after 3, when we did get our food it was not brought out together, one of our meals came out 10 minutes before the rest which is completely unacceptable. On service alone I'd give it one star, but the food is just as bad, our food came out cold and calling the taste mediocre would be generous. Personally I would have preferred if we never got our food in the first place.

Having to pay almost $30 for each dish is just salt in the wound.

Staff were amazing.
Went out of their way to assist in a predicament for a special occasion. Absolutely brilliant, food and drinks were also very good.

Terrible experience. We waited 1 hour and 20 minutes for our meal. The beef burger and Childs chicken burger came out cold. Husbands Caesar salad arrived 12 minutes after ours. The staff seemed friendly enough. We were offered free drinks which we rejected as we preferred maybe some bread as we were starving at this point so the surpriser brought out salted cashews. She also said we should have been told it was an hour wait but she was the frontline one seating customers? We were told the wait time was due to an event but reading through the reviews it seems like a common theme. The chips were also cold and burnt. We would not recommend this place!

Beer paddle was flat, tasteless and poored unevenly. 3 of their beer choices were not available. Wine past their date.i did not even get a glass after an awkward tasting.my husband left his paddle almost full.bar staff did not know what they were pouring nor knew about their product. Vibe outside totally off and off putting.we are not fancy at all yet wanted to leave after 3 minutes.such a shame for a venue this beautiful. Oh and the music is very bad! I can only assume the target is for a very young crowd with low expectations. Sorry not for us, our friends or families.

The lovely front of house staff squeezed us in just ahead of their busy lunch period - and we were so pleased they did!

This was our second visit and both times I’ve been impressed by the food quality and service.

Last time I had the chicken schnitzel which came with slaw and it was delicious, today I had the margarita pizza and it was the best pizza I’ve had in ages. Fresh, cheesy, great base. Loved it. Partner had the brisket sandwich today and was happy too!

Thanks for making space for us guys, we’ll be back.

To be honest, I thought the restaurant and venue were excellent. Unfortunately, after our experience last Sunday, 18 September 2022, I feel that the restaurant management was totally incompetent. Although some of the front-line service staff were under pressure due to customer complaints regarding late service, I appreciate how they handled the embarrassing situation well. In my opinion, it appears that this restaurant lack a properly functioning management team and chefs, since neither approached anyone to explain the situation, and they just kept us to continue following up with the front-line staff regarding our orders.

As embarrassing as it is to tell friends and colleagues that we've waited more than two hours for our food to be served in a restaurant, I feel that I still have to warn them to stay away from the Valley Social Restaurant until the current management is replaced - but who knows who these people are?
