Starting my Diploma of Counselling. So far everyone has been so kind and professional. They make sure you feel comfortable and have as much information as possible to make your journey exciting. I look forward to the next 12 months and then into my new career!

From woe to go Trainsmart have been relatively amazing. There’s a few minor system related things I personally feel in need of adjustment. I love love love my Trainer Megan she’s fantastic and when I made initial enquiry I had the best help and advice from Gary in-which he then helped with all things for enrolment. All staff I’ve had dealings with have been great, nothing but helpful friendly & professional

I have recently started an IT course through Trainsmart. I am finding them to be very organised, prompt and the staff have been encouraging and helpful!

I have been studying with TrainSmart for a couple of years now and they have been very flexible especially when I have needed to defer due to life!
Trainers are fantastic and motivating and always set time aside if you need their help.
I will be continuing on with other study for 2023.

My trainer Lorraine was such an amazing support. She helped me get back on track after I was ready to give up. The trainsmart portal was super easy to use as well. Would definitely study with them again!

Trainsmart Australia are really supportive as you work through your course, as I am doing my studies online, they send me out monthly progress reports of how I am going in the course so far and if you need any help they are just a call away, or if you email them they will return you call as soon as they can, overall the training organization is fabulous and I would totally recommend it if you are considering to study.

Avoid TrainSmart at all costs.

I did a cert IV in mental health peer work where I did have some good involvement with highly experienced trainers.

The curriculum and trainers themselves were of good quality but that's where the quality ends at Trainsmart.

I was given no assistance at all to find work placement for the required 80 hours.

On my own accord I established three of my own placements as follows:
disability support worker (Workpower)
aged care support (Lifeline)
bipolar support group facilitator (Even Keel)

I was then told that none of these roles were suitable for supervision and would not count toward prac hours.

A year later after dealing with several changeover staff (and having to start from scratch with each one) I was finally placed in two very good facilities being Fremantle Mind (Fremantle) and The Matrix Program (West Perth).

This experience was very good and although the trainsmart staff again changed several times during these placements I ended up with a very capable coordinator called Dominique Jacobs.

She walked me through every step of the final placement and assessment process. I was very excited to finally finish the Cert IV Mental Health Peer Work course after three years of blood, sweat and tears. Or at least I thought I had finished.

A long time after "completion" of the course I had an email requesting I finish the remaining assessments. I explained that I had already gone through the detailed finishing process with my coordinator and completed all requied assessments. This was 2020.

For two years I have had new staff after new staff email me requesting I finish the course. After getting tired of explaining myself I simply stopped responding.

I was happy that I had completed the cert IV that I had to set out to acheive in 2018. I wasn't going to bother with the amateur harassment that I had gotten used to from Trainsmart.

Today I received a threatening letter from Trainsmart saying if I don't withdraw from the course that my course would be cancelled and interested parties notified.

I have spoken to many a disgruntled party who have also had the misfortune of dealing with Trainsmart's complete inability to run a professional service.

My partner in particular has had to endure a complete nightmare with them.

She had enrolled in an online youth work diploma and completed five units (that were never marked).

Upon discovering how frustratingly amateur Trainsmart was she decided to withdraw from her course early in order to avoid the full course fee.

She called multiple times to withdraw and sent email after email but there was no response. The debt for the full course eventually arrived and after contacting VET it was too late.

VET told her to speak to consumer protection. Consumer Protection claimed that the trainsmart person that my partner was referred to never existed.

She now has an 11 grand debt she has to pay out of her work cheque every fortnight and there's nothing she can do about it.

In summary, avoid Trainsmart at all costs.

From what I hear you will have a much better experience with Tafe.

TrainSmart was the best choice I've made. They are supportive, set out the course intelligently to make it as easy to follow as possible and I feel genuinely cared for! Highly recommended.

So good to be doing a qualification thats just down the road from home. The staff are very friendly and quick acting. Enrollment was super easy

The courses are set out so easy to understand. Many ways to pay fees. Trainers are amazing and so helpful. Would definitely recommend TrainSmart Australia to everyone!

I am studying an advanced diploma in business online and I am loving it. My trainer is great, he doesn't overcrowd me unless I need a gentle nudge.

Student support and the trainers from TrainSmart are all so friendly, supportive and available to help out. Even when I deferred for an entire year, they were patient and understanding. They are very involved, and encourage getting to know other students.

I've attempted to study both a Diploma of Business Admin and Diploma of Community Services at Trainsmart. The business diploma was a great experience, the diploma of community services, not so much.

Paid course fees upfront, was granted one year to complete Diploma of Community Services online (12/11/2020-12/11/2021).
I have completed university level counselling units hence I needed RPL for some units. I was waiting on these to make progress as I was not sure which units I would have leftover. I called and e-mailed them multiple times requesting RPL kits - as per their procedure, I needed to fill and sign paperwork to gain RPL. Each time I would call (over multiple months), I would have to re-explain the situation despite having e-mailed and called multiple times. I was repeatedly told there was no record of my enquiry. I was also told on multiple occasions that someone would get back to me within the week and then received no response.
Now, my course is expired and I no longer have access to the portal. I attempted to request an extension, again with the same problems. A representative told me they would get back to me within a week and did not do so. I am now fed up and would prefer a refund. My argument is that they did not provide the services and support that I paid for. With unmet educational support needs, I was unable to proceed with my qualification in due course.
I lodged an internal complaint on the 19th of November. I got an e-mail back saying they would respond to me within 14 business days on the 22nd November. I have still not received a response, hence I have had to go to the National Training Complaints Hotline.
Most recently, they told me they would get back to me by the 13th December. Yet again, I didn't receive a response as promised. I think TrainSmart has a potential to be a great RTO but they take on too many students for the amount of resources they have, leading to high turnover and lack of support for the students. I'd recommend to anyone intending to study here to only do so on campus, as it is easy to be forgotten about as an online student.

Disorganised training institute - requires mandatory classes but transferred half of them to zoom without informing students and had to email multiple times to find out when in person classes would be attended. Majority of the work is self directed learning so you have to be committed as you will get minimal assistance from trainer. To contact them regarding enquiries takes a long time and sometimes you will have to email persistently. I chose this training institute as their were minimum age requirements at other RTO's and the cost of the course was covered my government subsidies.

It has been going good so far, there could be a few improvements done in terms of student support getting back to student when a question is been asked. Other than that the lectures has been good.

My lecturer Lorraine has made a impact on my views and has provided me with amazing help to complete the assessments. She is a fantastic teacher and highly approachable. The subjects are interesting and involve a lot of real world application. I've found the content to be helpful in all lines of industry and has helped me to connect my real world experience with knowledge to better my career. The subject matter has helped me to improve my performance in my current role and will help me to progress with the company with future leadership roles. TrainSmart has been helpful with making the course flexible to work in with my lifestyle and everyone has gone to a lot of effort to support me.

At times where it gets hard, or you get stuck on a question, you kinda leave it all for a little while. The team @ Trainsmart contact you and guide you through happily. Very supportive, friendly and they are always happy to help! Would recommend to anyone, thanks guys:)

I studied the Diploma of Beauty Therapy with Trainsmart Australia, Maria Lynch went above and beyond helping me through it and continuously checking in to see If I was doing okay with my course. I would recommend this course for anyone wanting to study Beauty Therapy.
