I would not recommend this RTO to anyone, to do a Diploma Counselling, I cannot review any other course, they over charged me the tutition fee and have emailed many times and still no refund of the over charged amount, some assessments took 3 months to be marked, there were a bunch of different people marking who seem to have a different interpretation of the answers, the student portal and format of assessments was not user friendly, I lost work multiple times using this, the assessments were repititous, lengthy and reading material didnt always match the assessment questions. Practicals were done with 10 or so people and 1 trainer so you might get 10-15 mins of practical time. I was really excited to do this diploma, but was really disappointed by this RTO.

I am midway through a Diploma of Mental Health. It is a lot of information but in a clear and well presented manner. I had a great experience when enrolling with plenty of support from staff. It's been a very positive experience so far. I can't wait to be qualified and for my work placement which I'm sure will get me the skills I need to obtain the job I want. I highly recommend this course and Trainsmart.

Trainsmart doesn't even deserve this one star. It's a waste of your time. You can't achieve anything here.

TrainSmart has been a relatively easy website to navigate. On top of this, it has provided access to a work-life balance despite the full-time workload, because of the self-guided nature of the course. Some of the assessments can be a little confusing at times, and lack clarity, however most of the time, trainers are able to clarify any confusing aspects. Though TrainSmart is not the best online learning experience I have had, it is okay, and simple enough to navigate.

When wanting to learn about your own trauma's so you are able to to help others, TrainSmart is the way to go. Friendly, open communication and very well worth your time. Pass the word round.

Avoid this place. I tried to do Cert IV mental health. Told I had PRL for parts, only to be told the opposite later on and needed to redo them. Told it was on-campus, suddenly they reschedule multiple classes to zoom. Trainers were swapped out and changing constantly. The admin side of things was atrocious, they tell you one thing, then either it turns out to be wrong or the rules change and they don’t bother informing you. They don’t seem to communicate with each other at all either, or reply in good time to enquiries. The assessment questions were often nonsensical, ambiguous and/or repeated for no reason in one test.
They also somehow thought it was appropriate to ask us to get to Fremantle for 8am, in the middle of the holiday period, and pay $50 to hear some “Uncle” give a talk, outside, at Wireless Hill instead of having him come to the class, and not want extra money. He would have been paid a ridiculously huge amount by us over course fees if anyone had gone to it.
By the time I pulled out of the mess of a course, there were only 6 of us left out of almost 30 students.

Susan talks my ear off without understanding what I need or want to know about. Spoke by herself for 25 minutes, I felt like I had my time stolen as I had to listen to someone that didn’t take a break to listen to me.

I am currently student for Diploma of business with TrainSmart. I am highly impressed by their way of providing training and support by their staff.
My trainer is Lorraine Schaefer and she's very professional and supportive.

I'd rather rate this as zero. I enrolled in counselling and due to loosing my brother to suicide and suffering from depression I withdrew and cancelled only to be charged $6500 for not even starting my course because of some census thing I was not even aware of how to do it or whatever it is. I have sent multiple emails trying to get my vsl erased and cannot even get a return email. Don't go through this company!

You would think with a training provider offering training in counselling they would reach out and ask why I'm not participating or submitting or making contact wouldn't you
. So what exactly am I paying $6500 for!

Quite the late review I must say.

I completed a Diploma of Business Administration through Train Smart back in 2020.

Doing this course allowed me to apply critical thinking practices along with providing myself with self confidence. In a summary, I owe it all to my OLA Lorraine S. Lorraine is a rarity of teachers in the modern world I find as she's 100% committed to her students success and will help them every step of the way to the finish line.

Safe to say, Lorraine gave me the tools and the confidence to peruse further education at a university.

It was a hard but fair 12 months but it was absolutely worth every second from the experience I had with Train Smart and Lorraine:)

I completed the diploma of counselling online. I had the support of my trainer Peter Grimes who was awesome. Online meant I could go at my own pace and I got practical experience with our zoom practical assessments. This course would have been better for me to do on campus and face to face though, because now I need 25 hours supervised to join ACA, which online does not give.

Was so happy with the service the first time around that i am back for my second diploma with these guys!

Can't recommend studying here enough! I used to study at one of the big Unis here in Perth and, even finishing my degree with them, had an overall unpleasant experience. Already Trainsmart has been like Night and Day! Quick enrolment, such a steady and consistent basis of support, and they make study loads work for you when life happens (I've had major surgery during my enrolment and haven't skipped a beat with study!)

Seriously can't recommend them enough!

I should say it is a good place to study. Staff is supportive and trainers have a good knowledge about their topics.

Working full time and mother of two kids. I am so glad to share my experience that i am student of Train smart. All the teachers are very cooperative, helpful and understandable. Through the journey of my student life with train smart I never feel pressured. They called student time to time if we are behind with assignments and always support and offer extra help to students. So amazing. If anyone wants to do diploma of mental health or other studies. Feel free to join

So far so good, I'm almost halfway through my Diploma of Counselling and the online system works so well for me. The teachers are always there if you need them, and they are all super helpful and friendly.

Great experience with TrainSmart. Well constructed courses. Great support. Love that it is self paced. 10/10

I have been doing diploma of remedial massage for a few months now and I am enjoying the practical aspects of the course. At times it seems like the content is still being prepared as it is being taught, which I think is a result of this diploma being new to Trainsmart. The instructors I have had so far have been really nice and compassionate people.

Its a wonderful cse to study.coming from a divorce of 30yrs ive been able to learn so much about myself and my own needs.
To learn self care, patients and how to better communicate with others including my adult children is invaluable. I look forward to completing my cse and going back into the workforce with my new career. After not working for 20yrs, its now a new adventure for me. At 57 for the last 3 yrs I feel confident i can make a difference to others.
