The Windsor Hotel reviews
57Lunch deal: bacon cheese wagyu burger, really well cooked, bacon crispy, very tasty with fries, plus pint of lovely locally brewed pale ale just $25 - fantastic value! Bar staff friendly nice place, will be back.
The management told me that if I got a vaccine they would give me free beer. I do not think an establishment such as this should in any way be persuading people to take part in a medical procedure.
Great atmosphere, mixed demographic and brilliant music. Life music is exceptionally good. Best place to spend a Sunday afternoon
Nice pub, pizza's out the back are hit n miss.food service not great.ordered 2 pizza's and a side.the side came out followed by the pizza ten minutes later, and it was not busy.
Enjoyed a couple of drinks mid week. Quick friendly service, moody. Toilets clean. Visited again during the week for food and then realised that if you want table and chairs you have to sit outside, inside its mostly bar stools and tables. Standard pub food menu.
Fantastic food, we had the Chicken Burger which was huge and super tasty and a lovely warming soup. Friendly helpful staff and great craft beer selection.
Usually my reviews are positive. Security excluded a member of our party unnecessarily. I asked for the reason and was immediately excluded.although it wasn't followed up. I left under my own volition. I was asked whether or not I was Australian before being excluded. I am. Imagine if I wasn't
Went for after work drinks on Friday night and was again pleased by the service and speed of the food delivered to our table.
The only fault i have is the amount of tables.
Great drinks list & the beef and guinness pie was lovely! My friend had fish and chips and the homemade tartare sauce was next level delicious!
We enjoyed a delicious meal at the Charthouse Restaurant at the Windsor Hotel. Food & service was impeccable. Enjoyed a charcuterie board & also coconut prawns for entree. Main course we enjoyed local Crayfish chips & salad, Gold Band Snapper with amazing parsnip puree & polenta & pork cutlet with sauteed Savoy cabbage, mash & jus. Everything was perfect. Highly recommended. We look forward to trying more of the amazing dishes on the menu.
I came here for a reunion and I was delighted with the outdoor decor and setting, it was gorgeous. We were in a room for our reunion and served delicious finger food. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. I look forward to returning to enjoy a sit down menu next time.
Had a great time in the pub.
Absolutely soured by the local council stinging us for a fine on Easter Sunday parking in an empty car park. F.wads
Atmosphere was great, I went to the beer garden section. I wasn't a big fan off the food however others I was with were satisfied.
We had to wait nearly 2 hours for food on a Monday night. It wasn’t even a full restaurant. The staff were inattentive and had to be called over to take our order after being ignored for 30 minutes. Cocktail was lackluster and over priced. Food was basic like an average country pub.
Great place to meet with friends and enjoy a live music with splendid selection of beers on tap.
Dance floor is a nice bonus. Friendly staff and semi-matured crowd with spontaneous romantic possibilities.
Excellent restaurant, fabulous period bar. The home brews are excellent. All beautifully refurbished. Very friendly and professional staff.
Food okay, we ordered calzone and burger, no drinks or alcohol. We were however disappointed, when we went to order, our entertainment card discount of 25% off was rejected. The response from the waitress/barstaff girl was we could not get the discount because we were ordering at the bar, but this was the only place to order food! The restaurant side was closed and under renovation, so there was no option to order there. They also stated that they would not be using the card in the restaurant anyway when they would re-open. There were no disclaimers on menus or EPA rules saying we could not use it. My problem is, why be part of the entertainment book and lure customers to your business and not intend to give the discount?
Everything seems to be an effort for the staff, they make you feel like an inconvenience for being there. Items got forgotten off our order, was told to go back to the bar to order again, no attempt to rectify the situation. Beer garden has music and water features which mean you can’t hear your dining companions. Nice area, but generally a miss.
This is really a GREAT Place. The music is perfect, right and correct volume. I like to have a conversation with my wife but also love music in the background. The atmosphere is special, one of a kind. The colours are vibrant but not in your face, soft on the eye. The food is of a high standard and tasty, my wife think the veggies was perfect, fresh. I tested there homemade beer, WINNER. The mens toilet is clean. The staff is friendly and helpful.
In short I recommend this, so do yourself a favour and come and relax and recharge.
