The Windsor Hotel reviews
57Sat with three people the place was not busy both my friends got food said it was great, I have no idea how the food was as I waited 1 hour for no food to have come and staff confused as to what was going on. Would never visit again. What would I recommend? Going anywhere else if you want something to eat.
Pretty average place for service and food. Went on a Sunday and had a Parmi and the Burger of week. Parmigiana was soft and mushy like it had been cooked earlier and then topped and browned. Burger was bland, tastless and made me feel heavy and bloated after eating 3/4 of it.
Service was also below average with a staff member clearing our table of the previous patrons plates but never coming back to wipe our table down. I had to go to the bar and ask for the table to be cleaned. Staff took a long time to take our half empty plates away and never asked us if we enjoyed the food, which clearly we didn't as we left half.
Pretty disappointing from a hotel that used to be great
Ordered the Sunday roast. Beef was lovely and came with a generous amount of potatoes and gravy. Only small negative was the table service was quite slow. Will be back in future though.
Worst roast dinner of my life- no chicken left, the only option was lamb, 3 tiny roast potatoes which weren’t even crispy, Yorkshire pudding was burnt and cold, not to mention there was hardly any gravy.
The restaurant staff were efficient, calm and kind and couldn't do enough for my guests and myself. We had a wonderful, memorable evening and I am tremendously grateful to the staff at the Windsor.
Delicious food that was well priced.
The Oysters were so fresh and creamy.
Good cocktails that were also well priced.
The Hotel had a magician they hired to do table-side entertainment. Which was amazing!
There was also a drumming troup that did a traditional drum march.
I will definitely be back!
Dined in the Charthouse Restaurant. Food excellent in both quantity and value. Staff friendly and helpful. Service within reasonable time and coordinated so no one was left waiting for their meal. Free parking in public carpark upon request a bonus. Wandering magician nice touch.
Only complaint was level of voices in adjacent bar being distracting and at times annoying as drinking went on and alcohol took effect.
Restaurant itself deserved 5 stars but adjacent bar deducts 1.
A great place for a pint and a meal, particularly after a long hot day. I tried a selection of the meals here during my visit to Perth (the parmy, salami pizza and steak) and found the quality to be consistent and delicious, but definitely take advantage of the daily deal on offer. The prices here are reasonable, staff are great for a chat and the pints are icy cold. Overall a definite recommendation if you're in the area, I'll be visiting again when I next find myself in Perth.
Come often for work lunches on a Friday.
The food quality is 90% always dreadful.
Had a chicken parmy today and I could not eat it. And another worker sent their food back as it was raw. So my understanding of food it was cooked from frozen which is a major health hazard.
The previous week other work members ordered the Charlotte what ever it is food board and half the stuff was off and slimy.
We had an interesting experience at this beautiful place. They asked us what water we wanted, yet never brought it to the table.
We shared a Steak Sandwich and one half was absolutely beautiful, the other half was tough and grizzly. And it took a very, very long time for our steak sandwich to arrive.
Great atmosphere but unfortunately a bit noisy where we were seated so we asked to be moved which wasn't a problem, good value large servings and great service with a smile. I can highly recommend this establishment with confidence.
Restaurant staff are attentive engaging and knowledgeable about he menu. Amazing food and wines
Very friendly service. Music a bit loud outside so we choose to sit inside so we could talk. Dad had the steak sandwich and chips which he thoroughly enjoyed. Husband had the seafood pasta which he said was delicious and too much to finish. I had the mushroom risotto which was a great vegan option. Fill of vegetables, couldn't finish the large serving. The staff were wonderful. I would highly recommend.
Rude staff members. They often ignore me when I go to the counter to order something. I won't be coming back here. The pubs in Vic Park are much better, as I get served by nice people who are not stuck up or snobby.
Good pub-grub for a lunch out with the team from work.
Excellent atmosphere, and reasonable prices.
I was at your venue with a friend on Friday the 20th Aug 2021, she approached the bar and was greeted by really lovely staff, upon her trying to order a drink she was refused due to having face tattoos, although the staff were pleasant in explaining it was the owners strict rule I find it completely backwards and discriminatory. It is literally like saying to someone wearing bright red lipstick that they cannot be served, these days tattoos are more of a cosmetic thing…. Like make up or hair die….
It’s really disappointing as it was both of our first visit to your venue, safe to say it will be our last.
Nice, location great, near Sth Perth jetty.
Good food, great beer selection including in house brewery. Comparable food price to other venues.
I am the support worker for a client of mine who is very disabled with no communication techniques, and he has a wheelchair that resembles a seemingly trailer.
Honestly finding a good restaurant that’s open with appropriate food in New York on a Monday night is fairly hard, so if a pub in south Perth couldn't, I would have understood.
I didn't need to worry at all.
The duty manager gave the me kids menu options because of my clients chronic Dysphagia. They charged fairly but they could have done the opposite. Great customer service and empathy.
We dined at the Charthouse and both ordered the Eye Fillet. Hers was PERFECT, mine was only the tiniest bit overdone.
The atmosphere is simply gorgeous. Nautical and unpretentious, with many pieces of decorative eye candy. Learn your signal flag alphabet and read the writing on the walls. A fun little mental exercise.
The wait staff were friendly and efficient. They were appropriately cheeky and the experience was fun as well as delicious.
My coffee was late coming with dessert, but they happily took it off of the bill.
I left my bag and they actually phoned me and left a message to remind me to come back and retrieve it. Very grateful.
We will definitely return periodically. Top notch all the way around.
Superb Sunday roast at Charthouse restaurant. Generous portions and every item on the plate was delicious. Great service and helpful staff. Couldn't resist the apple and rhubarb crumble and it was one of the best I have ever had. Look forward to going back again!
