The Vault Restaurant

Beautiful place for Italian food. We come here for dinner at the last minute decision. My husband and I ordered a gluten free pizza. It was very flavoursome, only fault was the base was still a bit soft. The service was great and the staff really lovely. If we lived closer we'd definitely go back.

Thought the service was really good. The staff were very welcoming and polite and prices are very reasonable.
The atmosphere was ok and the way they had decked out the old vault was a nice touch.
Table for 3 which included 2 x fish of the day, sweet potato chips, seafood platter and 3 drinks. Fish was cooked nicely and presentation was great. Seafood platter was nice although the chilli mussel sauce was watery, had no chilli and was a little lack lustre. Scallops and squid were just a tad overcooked but still very nice.
Overall it is a nice venue and well worth the visit.

Great restaurant in the heart of Kalamunda. Received excellent service from Maddison, who was an absolute delight. Maddison was incredibly upbeat and friendly.
The chilli mussels here were delicious! The crime brûlée was a 10/10 as well.

A big thank you to Angelo, Vani and the team at The Vault Restaurant! We just held our third function upstairs in the function room for over 70 guests and just like our two previous functions, we couldn’t fault The Vault! The 3 course Italian-style menu (which Angelo designed to suit our requirements) was absolutely delicious and the service was impeccable. Our guests were all seated comfortably in the spacious function room, and the staff were extremely attentive and accommodating. The amazing in-house pastry chef also made the most delicious and stunning cake for dessert. Our guests had an excellent time and were full of compliments. There was so much food that nobody needed dinner! Highly recommend The Vault Restaurant for your next function! Thanks again to all the team!

Had a party of 17 for my wife's 50th. Lovely place and accommodated fit us well. Great food and drinks.

If I could give 10 stars I would. Absolutely delicious everytime we visit. Had lunch on Sunday, and wow! Happy tummies and tasetbuds.

We love this place, everytime me and my daughter are in Kalamunda we come here. We especially love their authentic Italian pizza, they even do a kids size pizza. We also love the fresh desserts they have daily. The new rooftop bar is such a cool spot to sit too. Super friendly service. Definitely recommend this place.

Just dined here for dinner. Food, I must say would hands down be one of the best meals I have ever enjoyed in Perth. Kudos to the chef - absolutely amazing and worth the higher price tag. However, service was really lacking and makes it hard to justify the price of dining out. Staff are very inattentive, slow, lacking initiative, and there were plenty of FOH staff on, they just did not have any interest to be there it seemed. FOH staff seemed majority juniors, only 2-3 over 18, which is a shame too for alcohol orders, but 2-3 is still plenty to assist. Only one round of drinks the whole night, as no one bothered to ask or avoided when you tried to get their attention. Easily missed out on $$$$$ as there were 2 of us and were planning to celebrate the night with cocktails. No check ins during meals, and no desserts offered either.

Have been twice now, both times were not overly busy for dinner service. A real shame as the venue could do much better and could really maximise the spend per head like we would've liked to.

Totally arrogant front of house staff - issues with reservation - opinionated and disinterested young desk attendant - manager was aggressive and we left without being seated - we WERE long term fans of the vault and indeed recommended it to friends - but we will not return to or recommend this restaurant ever!

UPDATE:

Loved the response from the Vault - i guess treating long term returning customers with respect and courtesy involves a manager getting up in your personal space and a accusing you of being aggressive, when you have not even raised your voice - let alone sworn. (I wish I did though).

The manager then basically would not leave us alone as we were trying to leave the restaurant, which by looking at all the empty tables without reserved signs, was far from fully booked.

Bullying behaviour is not acceptable at any level - let alone in a family style venue. It is a shame when a customer that is making a legitimate and rational complaint, is then hit with a barrage of aggressive behaviour and gas lighted.

As a point of reference = my wife made an online reservation mid morning for 6 pm - we arrived at the restaurant at 6 pm only to be told fairly abrasively that there was no reservation. The restaurant was basically empty and not a single effort was made to seat us. Around 9 pm the restaurant probably realised their mistake after they looked at the their system and emailed us saying that the booking could not be made. A little late one would say, given that we were there 3 hours previous. Fairly obvious that the restaurant dropped the ball here and was trying to cover their tracks.

Got a real laugh when I read their response as they couldn’t even spell the word courtesy correctly - LOL

Went for dinner last night, I'm 64 and had the best pizza I've ever had. The staff where really friendly and helpful.thankyou ️

Thank you Omar and the entire Vault team for a fantastic afternoon on the deck, Sunday, a great place to celebrate my birthday. Bill Chidgzey's excellent guitar set off the location that feels like you are in the trees. We ordered pizzas for the table they were delicious, the Gamberi was a standout. Bar staff were friendly and efficient. 5 stars all round. I will be back.

Had lunch at the Vault restaurant. The pizza was ok, but wasn’t a fan of the cold prosciutto layered over the pizza. Would have preferred it was cooked on the pizza. Also had the chicken almond tortellini, and was one of the best pasta dishes I’ve eaten in my life. Was delicious. Overall a really nice place, would definitely return.

Great Italian restaurant with good quality food and excellent service. Their mushroom arancini were a great starter to share and the capretto was a generous serving as were the side of garlic and rosemary potatoes. Fish of the day was well cooked and the cauliflower mash went well with it. Service was good and attentive. With a lot of people, the venue became quite noisy however and some sound dampening would be worthwhile.

Staff are a but new and under trained but always very polite. Manager is a bit too intense and needs to calm down.

I am sorry to say my visit was not good, i ordered a pizza which took 1/2 hour to arrive and it was only warm and the side plate was as cold as though it was just taken out of the freezer, not a good visit
