The Shorehouse reviews
76Beautiful setting. Attended a sitting down event on the terrace. The view of the ocean and the sunset was breathtaking. The food - whilst delicious - took a long time to arrive. It was very busy though. I’ll give it the benefit of the doubt and look forward to coming back with the family for brunch on a warm summer Sunday.
Delectable. I had ‘the Beggy’, I don’t think I’ve ever had such a beautiful brunch. I devoured that in under 5 lol. Wonderful view as well. Friendly staff.
We loved this place. Not only was the food great but the service was 10 out of 10. Thanks so much to Mari. Nothing was too much trouble and she made us feel very welcome. She didn't put niceness on she was just lovely. A little bit pricey but worth it considering the service, food, view and venue. Thanks again Mari
Delicious food and great ambiance/set up. The cocktails are a stand out for sure!
Great dining as a coeliac as they could make 95% of their menu gluten free which was lovely! The head waitress was very attentive and reassuring that the kitchen was taking care of cross contamination - however, we were accidentally given the wrong desert which had gluten in it. The staff were extremely apologetic and took the item off the bill.
Mistakes happen! Overall was a great experience.
Waited half an hour to order drinks and food, so when we got up to grab someone the staff told us to sit down as its table service.
Very condescending staff.
Though the drinks menu is 74 pages long so maybe that's why they wait half an hour to come and ask if you'd like a drink.
I had a really great food experience a few nights ago, the dishes were amazing and the produce top quality. Being grown up on seafood, the chefs really knew how to turn these dishes into mouth watering meals. The service was great and the wines delicious. If only I could sit in the copper bath tub and relax with a cocktail in hand! Well done team)
Amazing views. Delicious food. Great service. A beautiful place to visit for a casual lunch with friends and have a vino whilst enjoying the cool breeze off the turquoise ocean. The octopus was particularly delish!
Good food but very average service, friendly but slow and most of the staff members don’t know what they are doing.
Food and location are great, and staff were excellent too. But the place was unbearably loud. Even the bathrooms are unbearably loud. They have their own unbearably loud loudspeakers. I couldn't hear the people next to me speak, and they weren't soft-spoken.
Lovely views by the beachside. Their Spritz is delicious! Sunset and drinks - whats not to love?
Excellent restaurant and atmosphere. When we paid the bill we thought it was a bit low, turned out they forgot to charge us for the 5 course meals. We are honest people and went straight back in and told them the error and paid the difference. Such a lovely place and wonderful food, looking forward to going back next week.
Nice food could be generous with the helpings
Service was a bit slow and hit and miss.
We could have been offered an inside table when the temp dropped there where plenty available at the time
Came for a quiet breakfast on a Thursday morning, stayed for the comforting sounds of smooth jazz and the waves on the shore. Service was extremely professional and the food was delicious. Would recommend booking on weekend and for groups/parties, will certainly be returning myself.
Great spot, went for brunch and really enjoyed our meal! Staff were attentive and friendly. There was a slight mix up with our order but they were very apologetic. Parking is a bit of a nightmare if you go during peak times. Worth it though!
Always interesting, well executed food & switched on fun staff. Couldn’t ask for more out for dinner.
Disappointing breakfast this morning. The unbuttered sourdough toast was tough to cut and the poached eggs (x2) were small. Didn't feel like I got my $15 worth.
I have been to the Shorehouse twice - once for a Sunday lunch with a couple girlfriends, and then took mum there for a belated Mother's day lunch - and both times were excellent! Stunning views from the booths, amazing food and great service. The gnocchi is just about the best gnocchi I ever had, and the eggplant is also to die for! It's also quite reasonably priced for the quality that you get. And I have never seen a drinks menu over 70 pages long like this haha. Recommended for a special occasion as well as just a casual lunch - just go there!:)
Super friendly staff and a beautiful venue overlooking the beach Unfortunately the group of elderly ladies I was with found the menu very pricey and not suitable for their palates
Lovely Sunday lunch with family, service was impeccable, atmosphere fantastic - felt like l was in italy highly recommend.
WOW. I am absolutely amazed!
Had a delicious dinner with such a beautiful view to the sea and sunset. I think I’ve just had the best gnocchis in my life… each bite was a dream. Enjoyed it soooo much. Why didn’t I discovered the Shorehouse earlier!? Would give 10 stars if possible!
It is a bit pricey but definitely worth it. Would come again! Thank you!?
