The Park Hive IGA

This is my local IGA.everyone that works there is absolutely outstanding. Apart from the boy on this morning 10.28pm 29 Jan. Never sounds happy, he never smiles at his customers. He doesn't pack bags but will ask you over and over if you want a bag then makes you pack it. Last time I checked cashiers pack the bags, they started conversations, they ask how your day is. He is very unprofessional, very rude and such a downer to such an amazing store.

The convenience of the shopping centre is, sadly, no longer a reason for me to shop here.

Over 8 years of shopping here, the IGA has gotten worse and worse. It’s quite a shame.

I know my rating is pretty bad, but my reasons are as follows:
1. The loyalty shopper/earn points and redeem for dollar value card was discontinued. Now it can only be used to get a few cents off certain items.
2. The prices are quite high for normal groceries.
3. Navigating the aisles is a nightmare, as there are always trollies or boxes blocking the path and instead of staff stocking shelves at night, after hours, they seem to be doing it no matter what time you get there.
4. Food is regularly past it’s sell by date or best before date. This is a serious health and safety issue. I have to double check every item before buying it to make sure.
5. Reusable plastic bags are no longer available. They have cardboard / paper bags that fall apart on the first use. They don’t offer or seem to have more durable bags like the Woolworths canvas bags.
6. The personal hygiene of some of the shelf stackers is disgusting. I have had to hold my breath on many occasions to simply walk down an aisle. I have reported this many times.
7. Prices of items like soft drinks, go up and down, with no obvious reason than when demand goes up, the price goes up.

The only redeeming features of the store are that most of the checkout staff are very friendly and lovely to talk to, and the convenience.

It’s a real shame, but after years of giving second chances, I’m going to the bigger chains like Coles, where I at least know that they are all about the money. I liked supporting my local community IGA, but enough is enough.

To management, please take my honest feedback seriously, as my disappointment is beyond belief. You can, and have done better.

Last week I got blamed for picking up a box of ice-cream on deal but was not, paid full came back to the checkout the operator said customer change the price. Very rude

The opening hours are convenient, but whenever they do a 2-for-$2 special or something similar, it always goes through the checkout at full price, and of course you never realize until you get home: (

Great store! Prices are good and the produce is always fresh! It is open very late which is very convenient but I wish that it would open earlier. The staff are also very friendly. I highly recommend!

Triple shot latte from coffee bean was fantastic, the instant wake me up. I also appreciated the thick cushioned seating.

These guys are awesome. Super polite and nice. I have been shopping here for years, always a thing or two that was missed from the weekly shopping tho, but prices are very good, specials as well. Fresh meat and fruit & vegetables.

Extremely poor customer service. Check out pig girl was rude and arrogant, must be racist towards aboriginal people

My favourite shop. Best fruit and veg and huge variety. Friendly staff and help on hand. Love my local IGA.

Hands down the most beautifully shelved supermarket I have ever seen in my life. I honestly wish I could post photos of it because I took so many just to show people I know. My friend and I probably looked like we were high while we were walking around in absolute awe of how stunning it is

Great Place to shop. I love that they have an assortment of food that is different from the larger super market chains. The friendly staff are always quick to help and the operating times are a bonus. Thanks IGA

Always happy with my shopping experience, here at the Hammond Park IGA.
The fresh fruit section is always stocked well, the quality is excellent, and I particularly like the range of pre cut, fruit salad options.

There's a good range of ready made meals for one, and pre made family meals for those time poor nights for dinner.

Staff are helpful, and even later at night, there are sufficient team members rostered on to keep line wait times short.

A very well run store, one I drive past others to get to.

Well laid out small shopping centre. Plenty of parking. IGA supermarket, chemist, Doctor's Centre, coffee shop, beauty salon.

Quick and easy on my way home from work. A tad up market for deli and bakery items. Excellent staff and no issues for me after 5 years. Thanks all.

My local, plenty of parking and also walkable from home. Queues are never too long. Fruit and vegetables are always fresh and there's a pharmacy next door.

Fresh food and a good variety of ready to go meals. Also supporting local businesses which is very 2020

Friendly staff that are CoVID trained
Well stocked shelves with a wide range of products despite its smaller size
Widely accessible opening hours (7am to 11pm)
Prices reflect being a smaller shop, but are still affordable
Parking is tightly spaced, but never completely filled up
This place looked after me during the past 3 months when the bigger chains didn't, so I've got an even softer spot for it.

A really great IGA. Longer opening hours which is always good. The staff are lovely and they stock a really great range of products. I visit at least a few times a week and it’s always been a good experience. Parking isn’t amazing but understandable for such a small shopping centre.

One of the most complete IGA, really neat and noce product display.
Wide variety of fresh ingredients.

Convenient and the staff are friendly. I don't think their milk fridges are cold enough as the milk bought there goes off fast and sometimes has an odd taste. They also often have bread items at or over the best before dates.
