The Packing Shed @ Lawnbrook reviews
39Food was outstanding, such a beautiful location for a lazy Sunday! Amazing service, will always be my go to in the hills!
Such a fantastic location, food, service and wine. These places do exist and we have found one. Food was not pretentious or over priced but it WAS honest, simple and just beautiful- complimented the wine nicely. Making a regular visit - please stay away so we can get a table when we want one.
Enjoyed a beautiful day at The Packing Shed. Lovely glass of Bubbly, and a wonderful Cheese and Meat Platter with local apples and persimmon in season. Fab way to spend a Saturday afternoon.
I'm sitting here eating the zucchini fritters again. I really love the crisp skin and the soft, savoury delight inside. It is served very prettily and I hesitate to eat it, but once I've made the first cut I can't stop myself.
Had a fabulous lunch whilst enjoying the best views in the valley. Gnocchi was sensational as was the wine. Would highly recommend a visit.
After a nice hike to Victoria dam. We stopped here for something light to eat to be told at 13.50/ kitchen closes at 1500. Nothing was going through the kitchen and we could only sit inside. So basically we could not eat or sit outside. Whilst there were some beautiful looking sausage rolls in the cabinet that just needed heating up. Was still told nothing was going through the kitchen. Hence we left and found a decent pub. Not impressed at all.
We had breakfast at the packing shed on Saturday. What a lovely location, friendly staff, great service and brilliant food. We are looking forward to coming back to try the lunch. Highly recommended.
We called in for lunch only to be told that we have wait to be served because they was another croud coming in and they would be served before us. Even though we were there before this croud. It made us feel like second class citizens, it was like, just sit in the corner until we are ready to serve you.therefore The Packing Shed can shove it where it fits. Stay away
Great location with beautiful views, but the food was quite average. Small portions and mean with the sauces. We paid the bill early, but when we did walk out the lady spotted us, quickly checked the books and said "Yes, all clear". Not very subtle, but a little comical. "Phew. We got the all clear! ")
Good coffee, setting and service but the food just didn't match. Woody tomatoes on the bruschetta with the stem/core left in the mix, more omelette-than-scrambled eggs and pedestrian bread. The sausage roll was the highlight, worth the visit for that alone and the brownies and cakes on display looked awesome. Check it out but could be great with a bit more attention.
Good bunch here. There was diversity on the menu and the staff delivered in one of the best settings in Perth.
Best homemade sausage roll we have ever eaten - pork and fennel. Just devine. Slow cooked pork knuckle was sensational. Honest well done food. Staff were friendly but did seem busy. Atmosphere was ok, although we went when cold and rainy and the outdoor area wasn’t being used. Would imagine it to be lovely when weather is better.
We went here for mother’s day just gone and it was such a wonderful experience. The food was amazing, particularly the pancakes! To die for! Very reasonably priced as well. The young girls serving us were so polite and professional. And the grounds were so well kept, open fields with a gorgeous view great for taking young kids or baby for a walk while you wait for food. We will absolutley be back. Thankyou for such a nice experience x
Had a simple but enjoyable brunch on the verandah and although a little chilly on arrival that problem was quickly solved with the use of a blanket provided by the restaurant. A nice way to spend a Sunday.
Just returned from my second visit to this great little venue. The owner and her staff always make you so welcome, the food is fabulous and as I found out today, their wine is too! Don’t change a thing guys, you’ve hit the nail on the head!
Perfect setting! More than adequate menu.had brunch! Definitely go for lunch! Pancakes were apparently great and extremely filling! Really loved this place. Rebekah and Bruce are the owners and are delightful. Looking forward to going again.
Fantastic venue and the food is always delicious. Bruce and Rebekah are lovely people with lovely staff. @melscottyy
Took the family here over the weekend and will definately be back. Food was great and well priced. Really nice outdoor area with grassed area and trees. They provide picnic rugs if you would like to sit on the grass.
