The Neighbourhood Kitchen & Coffee reviews
39The Neighbourhood is such a fantastic little spot. Been living in the area for around 2 years now and these guys always have consistently great coffee, food and service from the team!
Two complaints:
All the tables are sticky, really annoying. Sand ‘em down and coat with a Matt epoxy.
No byo or license, but the owner knows only too well about that. Crazy Lic.laws considering it is located in a bottle shop that specialises in some very high quality and interesting wines. We can buy them but not drink them there. Food service and everything else is brilliant.
Atmosphere 10/10 walk in and feel at home. Service was incredible young girl behind the counter had a very friendly smile and attitude. The food was immaculate. I hope to see that beef brisket quesadilla in the window more often!
We arrived 30 - 40 mins before closing for coffee, maybe some light food (toastie, counter food) and smoothies. My wife, sister in law and daughter.
It was a nice day with a couple of people sitting on benches outside, I asked the waitress if I could put some of the benches that were now on the table down to enjoy the shade outside, a stern no We are closing. I would happily of put them back up after we sat to enjoy our drinks.
We asked about food and was advised it was just what was in the counter, which as it turned out was already empty.
We sat inside and the table tops were sticky, the atmosphere wasn't great so we took our drinks and left.
Overall didn't feel welcome and wouldn't go back, felt like they were more interested in closing 30mins early than embracing customers.
Nestled in the heart of Attadale, the Neighbourhood kitchen is a fantastic spot for a coffee catch up or a hearty breakfast to kick off your day. The staff are great and always friendly, the menu is decent with everything you would expect. (Highly recommend the Chilli crab scrambled eggs paired with a green smoothie) there is plenty of parking around and there is also outside dining.
Quality range of wine, beer, cider etc at different price points, with expert advice. Tastings on Friday are very sociable
Great little bottle shop. Staff is knowledgeable and recommends some great stuff you won’t find at the majors.
I recently visited this coffee shop and I must say, I was thoroughly impressed. From the moment I walked in, the cozy atmosphere and friendly staff made me feel right at home.
At times I have been served breakfast food from the kitchen that has just been reheated instead of freshly made for the order. The music could be turned down as well. It makes it hard to hear inside. Apart from this, still worth meeting for coffee.
We called in here for coffee, which was very nice, as was the person taking the orders. My only gripe is that I ordered a baby chino for my grandson, which came with half a strawberry instead of a marshmallow! You should have seen his disappointed little face! I totally understand and respect that some parents choose no sweets for their kids, but for my grandson, strawberries are an every day food and marshmallows are a treat he gets occasionally with Nana. At least you could give people a choice, rather than dictate what they can have. I wouldn't return for that reason alone. Didn't order any food, so can't comment on that.
Cute cafe in the burbs. Breakfast looked and tasted good. Loved the green smoothie. Friends take on the coffee wasn’t that great, tasted like dirty water and very bitter.
Terrible food on all all 3 occasions. Disappointing as other dishes looked okay. Eg roast veg dish was just pumpkin and lots lettucr. Bfast eaten later in day was stale and greasy. Bean dish very basic too.
Always busy but rarely disappoints. Consistently good food, nice coffee and lots of interesting options. Today the service was excellent, very efficient and friendly.
Upon initial impression it had a good vibe to it, down to earth, friendly and bustling with energy. It was everything after that that spoiled what could have become a regular cafe for me.
When approaching the counter they asked me if I was dining in and that they had table service. What A Joke. If table service is waiting 10 minutes at a table when all I wanted was something from the display case, then yes I would agree. Instead I get up, go to the counter and decide I'm too fed up to eat here and so got the wrap to take away.
When hearing the options for chicken or vegetarian it turned out that the chicken one in the window was inaccurate, that with allergies I have to be careful to have the chicken wrap I received not be the one listed is a gross oversight.
I don't suggest going
Great staff and food selection. Really nice place to relax and catch up on business quotes. Thanks guys
Delicious brunch this morning at Neighbourhood Kitchen. First time I’ve been and will definitely be back. Really warm inviting place & fantastic food and coffee. Top marks!
Service = amazing
All day menu = a thing of beauty
Coffee = spot on
Ambience = well designed and comfortable
Well done team of The Neighbourhood Cafe, you’ve got my 5 stars!
Absolutely love weekend brunches with delish food, great coffee and fab people. The owners are wonderful humans and have created a brilliant spot in the burbs. Whilst the original zucchini and corn fritters simply can’t be beaten (could genuinely eat them every day of the week!) the newly updated menu has some great dishes - the quesadillas and newly refreshed fritters come a close second. Really grateful to have such a brilliant spot to enjoy weekends
The Neighbourhood is amazing! Friendly staff, delicious food & great location! Highly recommend for both breakfast & lunch or even just a take away coffee
Go here for the decent coffee and salmon bagel, the dog comes here for the biscuits and the free petting from complete strangers, also sells wine but did not see price labels so can't comment on that. Excellent local cafe. Good staff.
