Great little place, lovely staff, was a busy night and they were understaffed but the workers still gave it their best running around and being polite

This place needs to close down. I can’t say I’ve ever had a worse experience at a restaurant.

The food - looked nothing like the photos on the menu, was half the size in proportion and was genuinely disgusting. I can’t say a single good thing about the food.

The service - No one is happy in the place, which is very obvious. The service is as bad as the food. No one cared when we mentioned we had issues with the food, how are customers meant to help if no one wants to listen?

Not only was there a ‘eftpos only’ sign, we were then told we HAD to pay cash, which resulted in needing to find an atm and being charged to use it.

The restaurant in general had a very bad smell to it, and was very hot and uncomfortable.

Reevaluate what’s happening in this place, because it needs major work.

I’d be happy to hear back in regards to a refund of our $70, thanks.

Owners do not pay their suppliers. Be warned do not deal with this company. Google The Local Shack and see what comes up in the results. Do not pay staff - do not pay suppliers. The Local Shack is a prime example of what is wrong with the world today. No morals. No ethics. Really bad people who lie over and over again. From my point of view the worst business I have ever come across. Shame Shame Shame

Was out raged on the prices of alcohol and food.

When the food came out the staff couldn't tell what burgers were what,
But will say the food was great

My wife got myself a dark and storm cocktail which came to $18

I'm usually not that picky for a good burger which again was really nice but $60 something dollars for two peoples lunch is a little on the expensive not included drinks

We came in here for a drink and the first thing we noticed was the 'sheep shed' smell, which I'm sure would put a lot of people off, hence the mostly empty restaurant. We were then told to grab a table and our order would be taken but by 'taken' he meant calling out from behind the bar to ask what we wanted. When our drinks were ready, he called out again and we had to go get them from the bar. My strawberry daiquiri contained little, if any, alcohol. Then, just to top off our experience, I went to pay with cash and was told that they don't accept cash. Needless to say, won't be back

Food took over an hour and the waitress walked around like a zombie, she clearly didn’t want to be there any more than we did

Terrible dining experience!

My husband and i went for breakfast with our daughter. We order the hulk smash, eggs Benedict and the kids meal (egg, bacon & fried egg) & two coffees.

We received the hulk smash and kids meal plus two coffee (which weren’t the correct coffees but we let it slide). My mother in law just arrived as our food came out and made an order (approximately 20mins after week ordered).

My daughter and I had just about finished my meal so I went to ask where my husbands meal was. The wait staff told me it was a few minutes away. They then proceeded to bring out my mother in laws meal (before my husbands who had now been waiting for 40minutes).

He then proceeded to speak with the man behind the counter making coffees who without listening to him explain what has happened hastily responded that he just had to wait because they were short staffed.

I’m no cafe owner but I would assume that when you order food you would think all meals should come our together before moving onto another order.

We saw plates and plates come past that had ordered after us, our order was not put in front of anyone else’s order to reduce the wait time.

After waiting an hour after ordering and everyone on our table had already finished their meal we decided to leave.

I feel sorry for the wait staff having to work here as they seem to have to take the brunt of the customer issues, there doesn’t seem to be any management coming forward to assist or apologize.

We look forward to returning when The Local Shake runs out of business for the poor service and a new restaurant replaces it. Until then we will not be recommending nor returning.

After reading a lot of the reviews, the local shakes responses seems to be this is an ‘unlikely occurrence’ but when soo many customer reviews are 1 star and say the same thing then something needs to change.

Waited an hour and a half for kids meal and a burger before giving up and walking out. Not impressed, spoilt the day out with grand kids. No star rating I'm afraid, 1 chosen as 0 not accepted.

Food took 1 hour to come. Food was undercooked and was not cooked to standard.staff however were friendly

Staff are helpful friendly, don't see that in a lot of young staff, food was hot tasty and came out quick overall very happy recommend it will go back again

The food took too long so we asked they rushed, and under cooke our food. It wasn't even busy. The staff were very nice though.

Walked in, dirty. Tables weren't cleared. Asked for a menu and got told to look at the menu on screen. Terrible service run by kids.

There was a large group of us, adults and children, and we had a great dining experience. Ethan was an amazing host, friendly and welcoming. Yummy food cooked by Connor and the kitchen staff was delivered fast, and gobbled up by young and old alike.
We will be back.

Ethan and Conner were fantastic the food was delicious and the service was great. They make a great strawberry daquiri.

Watch this place go bankrupt. No owners on site. No enthusiasm for anything. Average food and average prices.

I've had really good food there before but last night we tried the Cajun seafood thing and it was terrible. The peak time was very busy and after waiting over 25 minutes at the bar for service I just walked away disappointed and empty handed.

Very confused to why some of the food from the menu had to be presented in takeaway boxes when dining in, back then it was presented on plates etc. Dessert was served on a plate (was presentable) but the chicken wings and burgers were in takeaway tiny boxes and also back then we had a water bowl to rinse our hands after the wings. I even asked one of the workers about it but replied back to "im not too sure but let me get back to you from the manager"- Never did. Unprofessional wise but decent food. Just very confused with the change all of the sudden with no explanations whatsoever.

Breakfast was delicious. The service was prompt and courteous. I would definitely return with my friends.

Food was very average and seems to be no one above the age of 16 employed at this place, including in the kitchen. Overpriced for quality

Today I was at the Shack in Hillarys with my daughter and 2 grandkids. We bought a large box of cold unsalted chips for $9. On top of that we had to wait 20 mins for the order to be prepared and they didn't sell coffee. We had to go next door to buy our coffees. Not at all impressed with this experience.
